Buddha was right about those who expect fairness getting stressed. I've caused my own mental suffering angered at perceived unequal treatment.
Although some getting stressed about inequality is the only way to experience change. Who would have fought for civil rights for all, no matter what background or sex, if no one got stressed about that unequal treatment?

As ever, I found this very interesting and agree that we cannot control how others behave, how the world develops. We can only change things which we control - including how we react to the world around us.
However, I would like to know what advice there is for people, like me, who have to deal with mental health issues. Instances of mental illness can often arise from nowhere; sometimes there is an obvious trigger to an episode but on other occasions a change in mood can be sudden and have no obvious causes. When this happens it's very stressful but changing the way you think about what is happening is not a viable option. I would like to know whether you have any advice for the many of us who find ourselves in this situation.
Thank you, as ever for your kindness and wisdom.

@davecameron5355 Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt and insightful thought. I truly appreciate your openness in addressing such an important topic. Dealing with mental health issues can feel overwhelming, especially when the triggers aren’t clear. In moments like these, it might be helpful to focus on small, grounding practices that help create a sense of safety and stability. Have you explored any mindfulness or self-compassion techniques? Sometimes it’s not about changing the thoughts but simply allowing ourselves the space to feel and heal. I’d love to hear what has helped you cope in difficult moments
