Memorial to my son. My tragedy happened two years ago today. It was at night and I didn’t know he had passed. I was talking to him until I realized he wasn’t responding to me. I immediately felt my head start to tingle and then it radiated throughout my body. I touch his arm it was cold. I felt for his pulse. There was one. I then put my head on his chest to feel if he was breathing. His breath was not there. I started to scream. I immediately knew what this meant. I yelled. God you cannot do this to me. You can’t take my son. I will never be able to live without him. I threw myself on my son and began to give him CPR. As I was doing this I remember thinking, I will take his place in Heaven if you bring him back. I start bargaining with God. God was not bringing him back. I was confused and so angry. I yelled bring him back now. I passed out on the floor of his bedroom. Since that moment I have and will be forever changed. I’m writing this because it’s the first time in 2 year I have remembered that dreadful night. I’m told that my mind was protecting me by not remembering. It was to painful for me to recall and only now am I ready to do the work to process his death and the pain that comes with speaking about it. I’m going to ask for your prayers, as I pray for you. I will need the strength of our Creator if I’m to move forward. William forever 29.
