    I 100% agree with your evaluation of Health Potions. I really like the idea of Aether Flare & Snapback. I had not thought of that but I now plan to play it and see how it works!

    I've been on the Flare Snapback combo since prerelease week and I like it better than the potion combo. It feels easier to put mini-combos together! I was surprised to not see much coverage for this version of the deck from the playerbase...

    Forked Lightning does work both damages with Amp!
    The card tell it to us!

    • @dozrFAB
      @dozrFAB  2 месяца назад

      @Vandremor have you read the rules update?Event-based buffs
      Effects that apply to events of arcane damage only apply to events and not the whole card itself. Regarding Forked Lightning, this means an effect that ONLY buffs 1 event (e.g. Amp 1), it will only buff one of the two arcane damage events (e.g. deal 3 and then 2 arcane damage). "Effects that apply to ALL events of damage (e.g. Aether Wildfire) would still apply to both effects of Forked Lightning."

    quite new to fab in general, so im wondering how you give your cards go again/instant. Is it only storm striders? Are you only utilizing effects for cards like aether flare on your storm striders turn?

    • @mcziggywiggy33
      @mcziggywiggy33 3 месяца назад

      Storm Striders is the only equipment that you can do it with, so it's always on board when you need it. In this case Snapback becomes an instant if you've played a non attack action, so Count your blessing and Rampant Growth are already instant, then Striders > Flare > Snapback all on their turn. Typically you'll blow the Striders to end the game on their turn when they have no cards to arcane barrier.

    Fertile Ground does what CYB does for less slots and is all and all better imo, since it is an earth card.
    The caveat of needing 4 in banish is unfortunate, but I can hardly imagine a situation where CYB comes online faster (since you're playing for second cycle kill w cyb) and having six (6) less no blocks can allow you a lot more space to setup (assuming you fill those slots with blocking cards)
    Fertile Ground outperforms red CYB in first cycle most of the time unless you take some really awkward less efficient lines to play yellow and blue cyb

      @@Cellus5000 this is a good point

      @Cellus5000 while fertile ground is less disruptable than cyb, every point of healing you forefeit loses you 2 to 3 damage on your big turn (or more)
      most late game cyb will be at least for 9 on avg, so youre giving up almost half your damage by choosing fertile instead. sigil heals for only a little less and is much easier to fit in the deck. fertile maxing at 5 heal is really not compelling imo

    • @Cellus5000
      @Cellus5000 4 месяца назад

      @@dozrFAB this is definitely true, however from my experience, fertile ground allows a more flexible combo because its tutorable with plume and playable first cycle
      I filled in those 9 slots with Fertile, Tree and Fruits and Ive honestly never gotten to combo faster. I was able to OTK through ab1 in first cycle (slight highroll, 3 epots down by turn 10, and honestly while my hand did 47 damage, they were at 13 so they super died)
      and I was able to race a DIO with essentially 2 turns of damage.
      Tree>Surgent>Forked which did 16
      A thrown together double rampant combo which did another 16 (i got pulsewave harpooned otherwise they would have died)
      Then Im just sitting on flare waiting for any sort of reach to deal the last 4 points.
      I know this seems anecdotal, but Fertile just comes online faster than CYB because unlike CYB you can play it first cycle which means you're more likely to be able to rip a 4 or 5 card combo with it
      I had to eat 27 damage from a high octane to throw that double rampant combo and that just wont be possible second cycle with CYB.
      While yes CYB helps you more against higher ABs, Id argue not having the space for tree hurts you much much more
