What a great player, Seve was! For a time, arguably the best ever. I started playing golf back in ‘79, and of course, I have been a fan of Seve’s ever since. RIP, great man. Golf will never be the same without you.
I used to watch the golf on TV with my dad when I was a boy. This was the first one that I remember. It captures the event, but not all of the moments. Seve was jogging down the fairways to get to his ball. It was soooo exciting. I was a Seve fan from that day onwards. I respect all the great players and winners of The Open, but Seve will always be the best in my eye.

Legend,icon,superstar taken away too young,sadly missed ❤.
This is great. Not only for the golf and watching Seve, but also for the history and watching the people in the crowd from that time.
I Love You Seve, Thanks For The Memories.

Wish we had every shot, or the full final round coverage, or extended highlights of all of seve’s open wins like they have done with others.
He was also a wonderful person in real life. I was fortunate to be around him.
What a maestro of recovery
Imagine a 22 year old winning the open in this style today.
Classic .the tour is not the same!!
39:02 mítico !!!
If you were born in 1979... we just watched this for the same reason.
How times have changed. The old fuddy duddy at the end separating Seve from his emotional brothers.
Commentators can absolutely take a lesson from this generation of commentators
did you get the invoice?
Times have changed thankfully: the old jobsworth at the end would be chased these days
Cant beat thd weather
That pompous official at the end breaking up Seve and his brothers embracing his victory. There is always one who thinks he’s more important 🤦♂️
Yep, I noticed that stuffy tosser at the end.
First prize 15000 thousand pounds, more realistic days, than the money grabbing circus of today when even average players can make millions.
Holy white people, Batman!!
Yes...quite holy!!!
