Andor was made by the Gilroy brothers, all over 65 years old and white. Two of the three have gotten Academy Award nominations for directing and writing in Tony and Dan. Using proven showrunners and writers is the most consistent way to get the best product possible.

But im sure with his passion/love/respect for the lore and material and characters coupled with the expertise of the gilroy brothers, thats what made it what it was.
