- This video includes almost every single cheat, glitch and shortcut in Mario Kart 64.
It was done on a standard Nintendo 64 and not a ROM.
This is the best collection of cheats for Mario Kart.
And yes some of the text has some grammatical errors but i cbf fixing it.

The trick on Koopa Troopa Beach can be done at normal size with a mushroom or by hoping at the top of the ramp. Both will get you in the tunnel.

programmers were drunk when they coded wario stadium. how could they not see the walls can be easily jumped

It's also choco mountain,rainbow road, mario racway, luigi raceway

lots of practice... I can do about half of these, but some I can never quite get (like the jump on royal raceway). Nice post!
In DK Jungle, if you time the jump into that crevice JUST right, you don't even have to fall in the water and it counts as you did the whole lap. Try this!
On Rainbow Road if you curl even more you can hit the farther left side on the roundabout, cutting off 20 more seconds.

Either the guy is confused about what game this is or he meant these glitches/shortcuts were fixed in a later print of the cartridge. It was not uncommon for games of the time to get improvements between the release version and a later print. Typically the player would not see the difference unless you dug through the code to see what version of the game you had.
The way they did that back then was new revisions on new prints of the cartridge. Go look at ROMs of games and you'll see what I mean. Sometimes there's later versions where things were fixed (version 1.1, 1.2, etc)

The Wario Stadium part I got the first jump but I didn't think about the second
Forgot Toad's Turnpike and a Yoshi Valley shortcut.
in royal raceway you can hike the mountain on the right of the jump, not a cheat, but a funny thing :)

I once did the one shown at 6:27 and as I was falling I somehow completed a lap, then I was placed just before finish line, went over it and I started lap 3. This glitch got me a 12 second lap in Jungle Parkway. I've done this one time and never could achieve same effect again.

The normal effect is completing a lap by being placed before finishing line. Not getting a lap while falling.
Oh,sometimes when you fall you get placed at the starting line.

Okay here's a question about a glitch that I've ALWAYS wondered about. So you know how when you're far away from the computer players (you can also see this on the map), they don't explode when they get hit by shells or the chain chomps and launch into the air completely like you do as a player? Sometimes they're just launched into the air about a foot and keep going right away? I've been able to do it only when I'm going really fast, but is there a way to ACTUALLY do it whenever? Not sure if anyone can answer this.
+Jose Gomez I don't believe that's a glitch. If you're not close to the ai they will not go in the air with a red shell. Apart from a green shell. In my opinion, it was designed this way. Just like the rubberband ai will usually catch up with you.
Jose Gomez yeah unfortunately the rubberband AI makes it harder to break apart from everyone.

On Rainbow Road where you make the big Jump. If you jump off to the right you can land on another part of the track and skip time.
I pulled it off ones. my brother did the normal shortcut on the last map. I was behind so I had to pull the shortcut a soon as possible. but I actually jumped to the section after the loop and won the race. best victory in mario kart 64 of my life.
I knew the rainbow cheat, because I did it in the past, and I tried to do the same on Mario Kart 7 for 3ds and it didnt work. lol. Thanks for sharing!
this is the greatest video ever but you didnt have Yoshis valley shortcut that gives you a full lap. , but other then tht its cool.

@ModaVL This was recorded on an original N64. Not computer. Not really sure how to answer your question other than it is possible to jump like that. :S If you jump (Right Bumper) into a wall you hit it and get a big jump out of it and you can leap walls like i'm doing. What are the parts in the vid you think look suss?

Wow i knew of a few but that that was the only ones. Didn't know their was so many ways to cheat and do odd things.

@inhaleforthose You need to be using a N64, not a pc version, anyways hop with right bumper (or whatever it's called) then hold a direction and you go into a slide, after you sliding with white e's coming out the exhaust you move the stick to the opposite side then back again really quick and this makes it yellow e's, do it again to get red e's and then release to get a boost...damn that's hard to explain

It's missing the glitch in kalimari desert, when u have a star, enter in the second train line and use the star, and then u will receive a lap when u enter the tunnel (it only work with a star) [sorry about my english], may i helped

the last one is hard to execute.. i only ever did it all 3x once on Time Trials, i was close to the finish line and freaking chain chomp ensured my time didn't get saved lol

Why is there no sound?
I'd hesitate to call them flat out cheats. More like exploits and unintended shortcuts. You're not actually "breaking the rules of the game" so much as utilizing loopholes.
