原來嘉義的火雞肉飯是這樣來的，第一次聽到；
火雞肉飯上的醃蘿蔔真的是畫龍點睛，超愛它；

There's a sacred tree aged 2700 years at the end of the 山水 trail near the Alishan hotel. In fact, all the trails within the Alishan national forest recreation area are worth a visit. The sceneries are all different and all gorgeous.

臺灣有好幾處巨木神木群，是相當珍貴的自然景觀。
在日本人開採之前應該更多，希望剩下的這些神木都可以遠離山老鼠，長命千歲!

阿里山上天氣好時可以看見漂亮的雲海
不得不說，看完之後整個身體放鬆了，好療癒，拍得真的很有水準喔！
阿里山有一些步道很舒服，輕鬆的有“水山巨木”、辛苦的有“眠月線”大推💪
You got a girl friend🎉. 我是嘉義人，也去過阿里山兩次，夏天去，山上變冬天。沒看到日出，機率不高，Wes看到彩雲，算運氣不錯👍。即便好多RUclipsrs 去不同的雞肉飯(火雞肉，但大家都用短版），但噴水池才正宗😋。
皮蛋要配豆腐一起吃口味才會更佳，喜歡吃皮蛋真正融入台灣生活，讚👍

阿里山是真的很棒的地方，我每隔1-2個月都會騎機車從高雄上山一次
不只山景，一年四季都有不同的開花植物可以欣賞
阿里山鐵路本線明年底就會通車應該可以更期待了
3:12 spraying of water chicken food, the term "spraying of water " confused alot of people, alot of people assume that means the meat are juicy, the real meaning is the restaurant is located right in the centre of Chiayi next to the roundabout with fountain(hence "spray of water out of the fountain on the roundabout") , the roundabout with the fountain is quite historical-over 100 years old. When Chiayi people mention "the fountain roundabout", it means right in the centre of Chiayi city
I enjoyed this Alishan video a lot, and BTW I may have come across Wes at Kaohsiung’s Love River bank a few days ago while I was jogging there.

Just wanted to add to your half story. After those Taiwan Cypress were transported down the mountain by train, they were transported to Japan by ship, because Taiwan was just a colony that provided them with various resources. So, maybe you will see Taiwan Cypress somewhere in Japan, although you probably won't know because they don't write where the wood came from on the pillars.
嘉義市跟嘉義縣真的要在行政區域上整合成接近百萬人口的大嘉義了，
這樣才能更有效的讓市區的嘉義商圈跟縣區的山海景點結合在一起作觀光規劃，才不會各做各的，分散力量。
Davis真的越來越台灣，好像每天都要吃米飯。

Totally agree with you Wes. This is one of your BEST videos ever. I'm a fellow Canadian (loved your Toronto Maple Leaf hat) but live full time in Cozumel, Mexico and miss the forests of Canada. I definitely plan to do this when I am there next Mar/Apr. What is the name of the restaurant and hotel you went to in Chiayi? I'll be meeting up with Prozzie & Alan in Taichung and would love to meet up with you down in Kaohsiung.
高中時都半夜無照🛵上山拍星星，大學時好在沒斷之前坐了直達阿里山的火車之旅，體驗到全球三大高山鐵道的魅力。
阿里山國家公園內的森林步道真的很漂亮，小火車也很晃，我第一次搭有點暈車😅
Wes, the best way to eat thousand years old egg is smashed it and mixed with tofu and eat everything together instead of eat it individually.

嘉義還有一個很神秘的景點，外傘頂洲，可以在東石或布袋搭小船過去，值得去看一下

Nice shooting. Actually the first sunrise spot is gorgeous for you also get to watch the light of the rising sun on the clouds sea down in the valley.
Also worth it to come check again during cherry trees blooming season as there is a good pack of them in a park in the village, you get the full combo sunrise on clouds sea + giant trees on the walk down + sakura at the end.
Great video! I love redwood trees in northern cali. The smell of them is out of this world. I can imagine how beautiful Canadian forests are with redwood, spruce, maple, etc. P.S. The girlfriend is so sweet. She got you some good b-roll footage.

About the thousand year egg, you should try break it to smaller bits and consume it along the tofu bits and the soya sauce. You will be surprised.😁

4:21 As another viewer mentioned, definitely use your spoon to chop up and mix the pi dan with the dofu. Otherwise the flavor of the pi dan may be too strong for first time or less adventurous eaters.

It's pity that there were clouds covered the sunrise. I remember years ago when I was there to see the sunrise, the sky was clear and the sun was literally jumping out of the mountain line when it rises up! Very magical!
And it was famous spot for cloud sea if I am right? But pity I didn't have the luck to see it.

That egg is century egg, translated as a hundred years old, not a thousand years old. I love it in porridge! It has a tangy, almost pungent taste & the egg white (or egg black?) is like jelly. That wen2 hua2 (文化) lu4 (路）literally means a culture road. Also, I believe the right words to use is 美到爆表， not 美到爆棚。（ROFL）爆棚 means very crowded & noisy or it could mean a very stirring piece of news.
