I introduced your videos to my 73 year old mother who had lost her spark for thrifting. After a few episodes she is now your biggest fan. She got her first piece of Iris and Herringbone from her aunt in 1966. She has both clear, Carnevale glass in her collection. You and Dagney have helped her fing her purpose again. Thank you girls!!
That is so cool! I wish my mom, and especially my grandmother could have been part of the CLL audience. They didn't have any idea how cool picking would become!
I play these videos for my mom who has dementia. She's 87. She loves them because I think they remind her of her favorite pastime which was Thrifting with me and my sister. Or just shopping in general. She shopped until she dropped! LOL I miss doing that with her!
Our Thrift Stores in Northern California are so sad 😭 …After they have reopened after COVID they have people that work in the stores taking everything of value to sell on eBay. So now are stores are worse then dollar stores just full of garbage.Broken very used stuff.Everything is very expensive also. Vintage things are now called Antique.
I can attest to this and I live across the street from multi million dollar homes. Our goodwill stores are so expensive & picked over. Ours prices are 3-4 times more in general than your goodwill stores. People buy up anything good and sell it at Denios Farmers Market & Auction or the have garage sales often. So, I enjoy your show immensely.
It is like that here in northwest Florida nowadays too, I cannot believe the prices they put on the items, it seems like goodwill looks up the value of items online and then prices them , I can understand that though, I feel like the best bet is to go to garage and estate sales.
If you were recording other customer's faces it could become a concern (foster kids, people hiding from stalkers etc) But you never do so, you are extremely diligent where ever you film.
I’m pretty sure if you are in public and don’t like it you don’t have a leg to stand on. You sign a release with professionals not to give permission but to say that you know you aren’t going to receive any money for use of the image.
Hiding from stalkers, foster kids, anyone simply who does not want to be filmed should stay away from public places. No expectation of privacy in public.
Thank you Jocelyn. I think you do a great job filming respectfully. If I was ever to create my own video content I would imitate your professional work.
Oh my gosh, it was the sweetest thing ever, to see how excited you were when you found that Fenton:):) I could watch that over & over again. Even sweeter, was hearing how excited, Jocelyn was for you too! Great times shopping with friends:):)
I am not a reseller but I find myself looking on the bottom of everything in the thrift stores and at yard sales. I even went through my house looking at everything. Lol. I actually have several of the black panthers. They were my grandmas. I have learned at lot watching your channel. Y’all are so entertaining and fun!! 💜
If only she was as respectful to you as you were to her. Sometimes people just look for a fight. Sad, she must be a miserable person! Keep on doing what you do we love it!

I am always so amazed at how large the decor sections of your Goodwill stores are! I live in Buffalo, NY and the Goodwill stores here usually have only three SHORT rows of home decor items per store. It makes me wonder why. Do we just hang onto our junk here, or is all the good stuff being shipped to bigger markets? Anyways, watching you satisfies my addiction to hunt for ‘treasures’ and saves me a ton of money!
Im in Buffalo too!! Cheektowaga actually... Hi to you both 😀 I think prices are way high..AmVets and the City missions and Goodwills... Maybe we have a lot of resellers here
I live in Colorado Springs. We don’t have near this much stuff in our Goodwill stores. Arch Thrift has more. Never seen things organized by color either.
Jocelyn, you handled that woman perfectly. Short, succinct answer. Polite and to the point. You've got to feel sorry for people like that woman, she clearly needs validation, and tried to get it by having a dig at you. And she failed. Don't let her actions bother you any further. They are a reflection of her and not you.
The Honolulu bear cookie jar, I have the matching salt and pepper set in my booth! Searched and couldn't find anything remotely resembling, very cool 😎
Which is interesting. I've so far found identical styles in canisters and a utensil holder. Haven't run across the salt and pepper set. The design is super cute though.
It’s one thing to take pictures in a industrial or registered trademark company. Goodwill is a free for all, if I want to take pictures of my shoe at different spots of a store I will, Ha!
Where I live in the Midwest, the nicest stuff ends up on Goodwill's auction sites. They no longer put out jewelry. Always is on their site. I won't buy from their site. I'm the person who needs to touch, hold, see it in real life, and try it on if applicable. For me, that's part of the joy of buying. It's the whole experience. Buying online for me is limited to things like SD cards, batteries, replacement items I have owned. For instance, you don't get a discount for dealing with a machine. However, one exception is I prefer self check out many times at the grocery store when I think the clerks are being too slow.
What the lady doesn't realize is that you are creating FREE advertising for Goodwill. LOL! Can't believe that you passed up that battered can of Old El Paso beans!
When I hear people bitching at the thrift store…it’s mostly about how resellers are making the prices skyrocket. Saying, “I can sell this for $40” tells those pricing junk to price it higher. They are cutting out middle men and women.
agree completely but what you going to do. Resellers will still clean out all the good brands for cheap. The only way to stop it is to stop buying from resellers I guess and Im not sure I can do that. UGH
@@lindalilhippie3728 something’s only worth what someone is willing to pay for it…many will offer a “best offer”. Those gel candles are very dangerous. My sons girlfriend got a really pretty one at Goodwill and her dog was about to knock it over so she jumped up to try to catch it and received really bad burns to her hand. It swelled up so large and I had to take her to the burn center. She has nerve damage and neuropathy from it.
