You can tell how much Kendrick truly cares about his fans when he points out the person that looked uncomfortable in the crowd, and told him he should loosen up and made sure he was alright. This is rare in modern hip-hop. What a great guy. Kendrick forever!

2024, man, I can’t believe it’s been this long, this concert I found after having seen K dot for the first time at the BET awards doing collard greens/money trees. Was the smoothest/hardest flow, Q and K dot. Shit grabbed me hard. This ONE concert got me through 2 years of heavy meth use staying at a “friends” house and neglecting my kids and partner.
After seeing him on stage at BET, this shits like porn to me.

I'm old skool....damn near 50...prob heard 80% of recorded MCs on the planet. Kendrick, in 2 yrs, has dropped 3 or 4 albums worth of material. Give the man credit because credit is due. MCs you mentioned (all 80s not 90s) had great flows...Chuck D is soooo underrated he's never mentioned in the top 10. Eventhough he's one of my favorites, I'd say Rakim's catalog is way short to be considered the best, but he's always mentioned. Kendrick's no joke...even w/his commercial cuts.

I really recommend listening to the whole album as a linear story narrative, with awesome metaphors and really good production. It's got some alright singles that sound ok live. But if I was there I would be just as crazy as those guys, because I really enjoy listening to Kendricks story, and the way he tells it.
