Watching this after the recent derailment of one of it's trains, boggles my mind why they even greenlit this line in the first place instead of just extending Line 2 to begin with?
As mentioned they basically had the trains thrown on them by the province because they bought them for that Go line they never ended up Making that used these.
The province basically was like “find something for this crap we bought so we don’t have to admit we fucked up or we won’t fund anything else”
@@generationwhyentertainment2455 In the words of the Prophet of Truth from Halo 2 "Politics... how tiresome.", meanwhile Toronto's public transit development is still a mess to this day like with how the first phase of the Eglinton LRT and the Finch West LRT we're suppose to open in 2020 but now aren't suppose to until next year or how it's taken us this long for another rapid transit route to begin construction for the downtown core of Toronto after decades of growing passenger congestion.
Bruh I swear they said the LRT was gonna be done by 2016 at one point.

Metrolinx/Go Transit are an Ontario Provincial Crown Corp. Crown Corporations are where the Government sets up a Corporation with themselves as the only shareholder. So, they're separate from the Government, but with the Government as their only shareholder they report to the Government in the same way a company would report to shareholders.

@@generationwhyentertainment2455 Well here in St Louis we have an elevated train system called the Metrolink, and it's essential and well maintained. So.
The rest of our subway system is fine we just got roped into using experimental technology for a very small portion of it.

Nah the RT was so problematic they shut it down 6 months after this video was uploaded. There are numerous other issues with the TTC such as the Eglinton LRT which had a completion date of summer 2016 when they started it.
Also people get stabbed and smoke crack on the subway here I legit went out to film this on location 😂 gtfo of here
