Very true
I got emotional, when you talked about traditional feast with your wife’s family, this is what life is all about.
You don’t need all the material possessions of the west, it’s ok and it’s fine to have nice things, but the west have to know it’s fine to live simply as well.

Spanian's Wife's Family are so beautiful.. watching them come together to prepare the taro.. making the awesome basket, using the husks for wood for the fire. 😭 Just such special people. Whenever Spanian occasionally does something annoying.. I will always cut him some slack because of the beautiful, down to earth wife he chose. It speaks volumes about who he is to the core. I've enjoyed these two videos in Samoa so much. It's been great to get to know his Wife and her Family.. and honestly, this is such good promotion for Samoa tourism.. because I wouldn't have even known how truly captivating Samoa is until watching this. 🌴
Yeah same from me, all I knew about Samoa was the guys who come over to the UK to play for our rugby league teams here in England, but seeing Samoa like that was brilliant, now I know a little bit more about Samoa, so thanks, just brilliant it was. Thanks.

Malo uso spanian! Thank you so much for an informative video of your wife's family life in Samoa. I'm a 55 year old Samoan guy who was born in New Zealand and moved to Sydney Australia in 1991. My wife is a New Zealand Maori who traveled to Samoa last year (also visited Savai'i). And even though I can speak, read and write the language; I have never been there. My family says that my wife is more of a Samoan than I am, and now so are you. Much love uso to you and your wife, keep up the good work; your videos are honest and raw "Lets Ougg!"
Its interesting to see how much hard work goes into producing food without the convenience of the modern age (grocery stores and such) Cultures like this just make me respect them and food even more!

I moved to Samoa just after secondary school in wales and spent 3 months just outside Apia. Was the most amazing place with some real awesome people.
This brought back so many get memories!
I grew up in PNG and the island lifestyle, food and religion are very similar to Samoa. In PNG we did 'mumu' and in Samoa 'umu', best way to cook in the ground and soaked in coconut milk, best food. The village lifestyle is envious as its simple but pure. There may not be the material things people crave in the West, but the life is far richer and family, friends and community are so strong. Give me the village life any day. Will never forget my years in PNG and watching this brings back memories. Pacific Islanders and Polynesians just awesome people and awesome way of life.
