Ordered Stone Cold Fox because I was SO glad someone is finally paying attention to cool toned gals. I'm very, very fair with dark hair, now with lots of silver, and dark eyes. I am so tired of all the darn warm toned stuff. I really do look best in clear jewel tones, cool based taupe and browns, blacks, charcoal, and grey.
Amen
I'm exactly the same and sounds like our coloring is the same, so thats probably why lol. Unless it's a true cool brown it instantly goes warm and makes me look have decomposed lol. I'm loving the cool toned trend😊
Agree. I'm very pale strawberry blonde and cooler tones work best with my skin.
If I see one more warm orange, brown, or red for palettes geared towards fair skin.. I'm going to lose it!
I am also very pale but with more lighter hair and a very distinct cool, rosy undertone, all this warm toned makeup makes me look like I'm sick, I am also tired to always hear things about peachy orange shade "they will look good on anyone", no they won't 😅
I feel like a lot of makeup at the moment leaves out cool toned people on the whole spectrum of skintones
I'd like to see more looks from that eye palette using your normal brushes!
The bumps are either milia or clogged pores, and will most likely be from a moisturiser or foundation that's too heavy for your skin. I get milia around my eyes if I use an eye cream that's too rich, and clogged pores from base products that are too heavy or moisturizing. You can get rid of them by using an AHA or BHA nightly after cleansing.
Don’t you hate those? I get milia under my eyes and you can’t pop them or get rid of them but I HAVE noticed that using a retinol product under my eyes has helped get rid of them without drying out my eyes. If I use an eye moisturizer, I get the milia 10x’s worse!
What I hate are the mask zits that are cystic in nature! If you pop them or try, then you have a big scar or mess otherwise you wait it out and hopefully in a few weeks, they just “go down” on their own. But it seems like they are always around, ready to pop up. Ohhh, the drama with beauty! 🙄😫.
Yes, that's what I was going to say... about the milia/clogged pores. I like Aveeno Clear Complexion moisturizer and Philosophy Purity which both contain salicylic acid, very gentle on my super sensitive skin.
@@karekausnicolli4890 Thank you for that tip. I have the Philosophy cleanser but am using Cetaphil cleanser for my face. I’m oily not sensitive but I feel I’m less oily since introducing the Retinol products. Those under eye milia used to be an embarrassment because no matter what or how much concealer you use, they are like BEACONS on my face 😂. Not so much since I use the retinol.
At least something good came out of it. Lol. Happy Makeup Days ahead to you! 😁. 👍🏼
I'm getting some bc my husband kisses my forehead too much I think since I don't wear makeup but 1 time a week
@@godslittlestidiot2984 that’s sweet! I wish mine were caused by too much kissing! 😂. Yes, I’ve been slacking on the makeup front too with Covid. Good excuse to let my face “rest” from all the makeup! I do miss makeup though. Even as an RN working the night shift, I ALWAYS wore “glam” but appropriate for the job, makeup every night even if my patients slept. I FELT BETTER about myself wearing makeup and I think even performed better! When you feel good, you DO good.
Now that I’m not working due to a disability, I got out of that habit. But who’s going anywhere? I had oral surgery a couple days ago and am bruised and ugly feeling. I don’t think I could STAND to touch my face with makeup right now.
Once I’m healed, world get ready! 😂😂😂. Nice chatting with you all! 💋
We did the cider mill this weekend. My boyfriend, both of my 20-something kids and my son's girlfriend & I all went to Yates Cider Mill in Romulus, Michigan. We had a blast and I love when the whole family can get together. Weather was brisk, but it was sunny, and we also took pictures on a bridge and down by the river. Glad you enjoyed your family time, too, Emily! This is a fall family tradition and we try to go to a different cider mill or apple orchard every year.
So excited that you used the Stone Cold Fox palette today. I just ordered this palette in a bundle with the Bare Necessities palette and on sale. I should have every neutral ever now. I can't wait to try to recreate the beautiful look you did. I would love to hear more of your thoughts and other looks after using the palette for a while... maybe a 3 looks with one palette or week of looks using one palette.
I have the Bare Necessities and I've hardly used it, but Stone Cold Fox has my name all over it! I'm cool/fair and love the ice blue, mauves, soft roses, plums and grays in this palette!! And I love that there's shimmer but no pressed glitter. Can't wait to order it this weekend (next paycheck, lol).
I ordered the same. I can't wait to get them ♡♡
Finally a truly cool pallet! There are so many pallets i would like to wear, but the warm colors just do not suit me. I really think this is a gorgeous pallet and I'm very impressed that Colourpop put in a variety of cool tones and not just gray shades. I just ordered it, despite a no buy, but this was just so unique in a sea of warm leaning pallets, I had to! I can't wait until it arrives. I have not been this excited for an eyeshadow pallet in a while!
Love that you're reviewing this! I have a meatloaf in the oven and I'm waiting to hear your thoughts on this....
What a great Tuesday!
I feel the same! Not usually interested in big pallets, but this one has me tempted!!
When Emily applies lip liner perfectly while talking... Such talent! 😃👍🏼
I absolutely love the color story of this palette and the look you created was beautiful 😍 cool tones have been slept on for too long
The bumps are called millia and they you can chemically exfoliate them away eventually
I've heard that Rosehip See Oil is good for them, too.
i remove them (i hear all dermatologists screaming) - i clean my face really well and use an ultra fine pin which i have also sterilized with fire 🔥 i have swabbed with betadine and wham go in gently on the edge of the milia and press with a very fine surgical spatula. it works and gets rid of my milia. it’s like a small piece of fat but it doesn’t belong on my face. with proper hygiene and neosporin afterwards we have survived sans milia to fight another day👩🏿🚀
Retinol serum, tiny drop directly on milia every night removes them in about a week.
I use glycolic acid, retinol, and niacinimide, once they get closer to the skin, they’ll roll right out.
@@LeslieSunshine17 I noticed since I use a retinol product under my eyes they’ve gone down or gone away!!! Who knew? Had I known this all my life, I’d have been all over that!
Thank you!
Dr Dray would probably recommend using a retinoid for those bumps! Adapalene gel works well for me, I use the CVS brand because it’s the cheapest on the market!
That's very strong. She reccomends adapalene for those dealing with a lot of acne. Emily seems to have closed comedones or just acne that hasn't come to surface that can be easily fixed with BHA and AHA. A retinoid is unnecessary as her skin is already pretty clear and doesnt have too much texture. It'll just cause dryness and irritation.
I just have to say I recently stumbled across your channel because Jen Phelps mentioned you and I watch her all the time. I came across the believe makeup videos while searching for foundations. I not only love your makeup tutorials but I truly love the random comments you bring. Like it feels like we are truly in your head. I just feel like im sitting here listening a friend and catching up on life and laughing about life. Very refreshing. Looking forward to watching more videos. Also this is the first colourpop I bought cuz I needed a cool toned palette. I always gravitate toward warm.
Just bought this palette and it is wonderful. I have older skin and it is awesome. The colors are universal imo ! Thank you for sharing !!
Hi Emly, thank you for your videos they are not only always fun, entertaining and relaxing to watch, but I always learn so much!! I genuinely appreciate you and your channel.
You are always so kind & supportive! Thanks sweet Marisa!
I bought this palette and I'm just waiting to get them. So excited for this year's Emily Awards!!! 🥰🥰🥰 Emily i know that we're strangers but I truly feel like your that family member or dear friend that I can count on. Love u girl. 🥰🥰🥰
i'm surprised that emily and i are finally the same shade in something haha. the quarantine life is real!
I have the fame palette. They should not have discontinued it. It's so good.
Came here to say something similar. I love it so much!!
Same!!
Same. I basically bought it because emily said it was a dupe for a CT quad. I love the colors! If im really depserate ill find dupes for those colors or just get the stone cold fox palette. Even though huge palettes overwhelm me.
I LOVE the mid-tone and darker mattes in the Fame palette! They don’t look very interesting in the pan but they are actually really unique and flattering on they eye.
@@KB-tb3po I agree. I love how that midtone rosy mauve (Stardom I think) makes my hazel eyes look more green than brown.
I ordered the taupe palette and am loving it. Im definitely more of a smaller palette lover especially since I've got plenty of other eyeshadow but wanted a cool toned option.
I’m moving tomorrow so thanks for keeping me company as I finish packing. You are always like listening to my most knowledgeable makeup friend.
You should do a full face of hard candy. No one ever talks about them
Agree! They have a bunch of new things out!
Zabrena and Tasha St James do full face of Hard Candy videos. The new releases and the Marilyn Monroe collections one and two! But Emily has had some of their products on before as well, just dropping some suggestions. 😊
Totally getting UD Naked2 and Naked3 vibes from that palette. . .so nice to see those tones having a moment again!!!
I LOVE this look on you!!! Cool tones look amazing with your dark hair and eyes!! This video is making me want to grab some cool tones for sure.
Loving this palette, haven't purchase it and realize this is an older video. These cool shades really flatter you the most, I think, I see your eyes, instead of just the "makeup".. Thanks Emilyl!
I love how you took your time and really worked with the shades you picked. Beautiful.
I ♡ Colourpop brushes. The going coconuts & the new taupe palettes are my favorites. The sol bronzer had also become my absolute favorite cream bronzer.
Love the look! That eye palette is beautiful but I don’t know what I’d do with that many shadows!
Yes, I get those little white bumps you were talking about. They aren't pimples so any kind of acne medication won't work on them. They are called milia and they normally appear around the eyes and mouth. They occur when keratin gets trapped in the top layers of the skin. They have to be lanced to get them out so I suggest going to a dermatologist. I have scraped one out before and it is painful. Sometimes they will go away on their own and sometimes they won't.
FINALLY, someone with dark hair and dark eyes that's doing shadow colors other than the orange coral color that EVERY influencer does, but doesn't work for a lot of us that need cool shades! 👏👏👏
I’m very interested in this palette as well as the brush set. So thank you for the review and demo. That palette is giving me Natasha Denona Glam palette vibes. It’s good to see more cool-toned palettes out there.
My husband’s family is from southern Illinois. West Frankfort, to be exact. We were just there last weekend. His cousins are always posting about the cute little places they go through the fall.
I’m wildly jealous of your eyebrows 🥰 I very much enjoy ColourPop eye palettes, I have not tried the brushes or skincare yet. Thank you for your videos Emily, they bring a few minutes of much needed sanity to my life💖💖💖 You must have a witch or wizard in your neighborhood drawing the owl post activity 🦉🦉🦉
This eyeshadow palette is so pretty! 👏🏽
Also, those little white bumps sound like milia, nothing bad at all, but sometimes if you apply eye creams/face creams that are too rich around the eye, they flare up.
I actually like moisturizers that DO sink into my skin and it doesn't feel like it's still there. You said "where'd it go?" You know it all seeped in, no excess wasted just sitting on the skin.
That palette looks like it is all the cool tone shadows they have come out with recently packaged with different names.
Hi Emily! I'd love to see a week of looks from this eye shadow palette! It's one that I'm seriously considering getting, but I want to make sure I will be able to get several different looks out of it.
Sebaceous hyperplasia are little overgrowths of the oil glands. Very common on the forehead.
I was going to say sebaceous hyperplasia or maybe syringomas. A derm would be able to tell for sure.
Your "non-zits" sound like the milia I get. Certain products have caused them on the tops of my cheeks. LOVE your channel!
Came here to say this. It’s totally milia.
Yup, it is milia.
Indeed I used to get them. My daughter dose a lot. I stared using the ordinary lactic acid in her skin care and it seems to be doing the trick.
In love with this palette!!🥰 You have created a gorgeous eye look♥️
Hey Emily! I have the other roll of brushes on their site. I haven't used those but I think they're almost identical to this roll just different color. I wouldn't put them back in the roll until after cleaning the brushes. I like the flap for protection of the brushes bristles 🙂 They also have tons of individual brushes $5 each. I think they have a set collection price of most of these but not all of the individual ones. So, I ordered all of them individually minus a few that have not been in stock for months now...ugh, but I LOVE these brushes for makeup application so much! There's such a huge variety of these brushes but they're really great! After ordering each one individually even at $5 each the price does add up quickly but they do have a kabuki brush for foundation that's much better than the big fluffy brush you had to use out of the roll in this video. However, I've not been able to get ahold of the kabuki brush because it's stayed out of stock as well as a few others. I finally was able to grab the full face fan brush in stock 2 nights ago with my Stone Cold fox palette order. I LOVE their blush brush(F2) and really love the powder brush(F1) in these individual brushes...I ordered an extra with my palette because I love the powder brush so much! I think I only skipped on the eyebrow duo brush set...or did I 🤔 lol All I know is the rolls are nice and neat looking but I was impressed with their $5 individual brushes! I think they're probably better brushes than in the rolls, but being obsessed with brushes I want the SC fox brush roll too but you guessed it...out of stock 🙄 A few others that I think are really nice brushes out of the individuals are, perfect small fluff brush (highlighter brush) (F5), Concealer, eye primer, eyelid or even brow bone...very versatile dome tapered shape(E7), love the precision angled face brush(F10), even though it's a bit large for eyes it has the perfect angle to fit it crease of the eye for a good blending, also stiff enough for under eye concealer or contouring of nose, under lip and precise cheek contour, another unique but soft eye blending brush thats slightly angled and great for the eye crease is (F12). In all honesty, all of the blending and detail brushes are great too! I'm glad I grabbed these few months back before everything has been staying out of stock but I missed or they didn't have the kabuki and a few more when I ordered all of these. Buying them individually is pricier but I really like these out of all of their brushes. Since the matching kabuki brush wasn't available I got their gold kabuki brush which feels great for that foundation application. (Anyway, hope this helps you with the brushes (sorry if it's too long😁). Love your video's and your eye looks are always the very best💕
I got the Bare Necessities palette about 3 weeks ago. I wasn't going to get the That's Taupe palette, and i had passed on the Going Coconuts palette when it came out. When the Stone Cold Fox palette came out, i ordered it and the Taupe and Coconuts palettes. I realize there are probably a lot of repeat shades, but honestly i am really hoping for exactly that. My thought is that i can have the bigger palettes for everyday/home use, but if i'm traveling, i can pack my Taupe and Coconuts palettes and leave their big sisters at home. I'm so excited for Taupe, Coconuts, and Fox to arrive so i can compare swatches and see if my theory will work!
I bought both the Stone Cold Fox and the little Taupe palette-- I figure the little Taupe will be for traveling (...you know.. when we can go that again..) but the Stone Cold will stay with me at home. It is SO refreshing to have a palette for us cool-toned girls.
I wish Colourpop would do some multichromes and transformer shades. But I’m super stoked for the cool tones, I have been WAITING.
I just ordered that pallet yesterday. I just struggle with warm colors. They pull so orange on me. Can't wait. Thanks for the look idea.
I bought this palette!!! It is so gorgeous!!! Cannot wait to see the look you create! Yes those bumps literally have to be dug out. I’ve always heard that those come from using oil based moisturizers that basically are too heavy for your skin. They are called millia.
I do love the look of this pallette. Thank you for doing a cooler look. I've been moaning about cooler looks for a while. So I appreciate you have reviewed this pallette.... For us cooler ladies the ND soft glam palette is perfect for cool easy looks
That cool BFF lip liner is one of my favs
I have the bumps too Em. Like skin tag bumps almost...tiny though and same color as my skin. Ugh, I think it's getting older. Thanks for the video!! Love watching you while I get ready for work. You make my day great from the start at 5 a.m.! Have a beautiful day!!!!
Ditto! More looks please! Also I am craving more looks from your Wants palette!!!
I love cool mattes and am looking for a 1 and done shade.... this or the taupe may be the answer!
You made me so excited to use my palette when it arrives!!!! I wanna copy exactly what you did cuz it came out so beautiful!!!
but wish she didn't use all the dark colors. seems every eye look she does is so dark. way too dark for a daytime look! she's good for dark looks. whereas most YTubers always go way too light with their eyes, Emily always go darker than even i am comfortable to wear! and her already black as coal eyebrows.....she makes them 20 times darker. unbelievable.
I'm a ginger and love the cool tones. I may purchase this one. I would prefer a 9 color palette but they never put enough light colors in those. Thank you!
I haven't even watched this fully yet but ... PRETTY NAILS!!
I've seen many reviews for this palette from other YTubers but none have pointed out the color schemes like Emily!! Almost purchased it but now I realized, I have those other palette already!!!
You face the best review of this palette that I've seen so far. Other than the makeup.just.for.fun - she gave lots of comparison swatches to finger vs brush but to other pallets, not only comparing to the warm toned version of it (bare necessities) but also Most of the latest smaller 9 pan palettes can be duped in this palette- thats taupe, mauve ones, the neutral ones they've been releasing lately, etc.
Oooh those cooler tones are beautiful! They look stunning on you 😍😍😍
The owls here in Georgia are wildin out too!!! They’ve been waking me up late at night haha
I love brushes!
I love Emily's videos!
Can't go wrong!
aww thanks for being here!
your nails look stunning in this video. The SCF palette reminds me of my rock candy palette.
I am loving your NAILS!!!! No makeup channel is complete without nail color! Love it! Xoxoxoxo
I am so happy to see you review these Colourpop products. I like them but skipped the brushes. Your nails are beautiful and the color is great.
Thank you! I'm waiting on the Taupe palette as well as the liner and gloss! I think I'm going to enjoy the colours! I've stopped coloring my hair so have grey/silver throughout so looking forward to trying the cooler palette!! Your eye looks always look fabulous! Love watching you apply makeup, so many tips to learn!!
I didn't want this palette until you pointed out that there's individual color stories down the columns. Now I think it's awesome! However, I have plenty of shadows and it's just so big. 😉
The palette looks beautiful. I just have a hard time storage large palettes. Thanks for a full face of Colourpop. I've been loving their formula and have been trying their products. Thanks for your thoughts on these!
I read a news article this morning about contouring with blush. It was interesting and the looks were so cool man. It was a popular thing in the Disco days. Could you maybe do a video on it?
The 80s too. I remember watching my friends big sister get ready to go out and sucking her cheeks in.
Gracious, Emily!!! That eyeshadow look is STUNNING 😍 Now I have the wants for another palette and more brushes 🤣
Wow, that foundation has great coverage period I'm not sure how it wears all day but as you applied, it looks great period I know this video is older but I just actually started watching RUclips. Make up channels more recently period. Thank you
Hi Emily! I'm in esthetician... It could be a little bit of folliculitis or just acne cosmetica something in your products causing little clogged pores. I would recommend getting a facial and having extractions. Some things do need extracted. You could also try a glycolic or lactic acid. That will help remove any dead layers of skin that oil may be getting getting trapped under.
This palette is on my wish list - love the colors. Since it is such a big palette, I would like to see more eye looks with it - specifically using the medium and lighter shades, not so much black.
EXACTLY WHAT I WROTE EARLIER!
Emily, what helps me to get those under skin bumps/texture are two products with actives: Paula’s Choice 2% BHA liquid and Differin 0.01% Adapalene gel. I exfoliate with BHA solution first one evening and then use Differin on other nights. They go away after awhile.
You have ventured out into some cool colors!! Good for you!!
I adore the Fame palette! I passed along my Naked 2 palette to one of my sisters because I think Fame is the superior palette. This Stone Cold Fox one looks like a great opportunity for anyone who wanted Fame but missed out.
You look beautiful Emily! I was waiting to see what deep lip you were going to apply but I do love the neutral. Nobody can rock a red lip like you can. Just my fav. ❤️😍😘
I get those not-a-zit bumps. Using AHAs and BHAs helps get rid of them for me
I love how grounded and relatable you stay even at 1 million subscribers. Congratulations! I've been with you from the beginning and you haven't changed over the years. That is why people love and trust you. This year your channel is going to blow up! 2021 is going to be your year. BTW I use clindamycin on any acne and it goes away in a day or two.
Love that you shared that their gel pencils seem to dry too fast! That's the really useful info I'm always trying to get.
I have to say .... I love colourpop and recently tried BH cosmetics and love love love them both!
Your makeup came out very nice. Nothing competing; lips are doing their thing and the eyes are doing theirs.
Why do they use brush applicators for their glosses, ughhh. This is a very beautiful palette. I have the Taupe palette and I love it. Gorgeous look Emily 💕💕
The roller glosses first came out with the chola collection with Becky g, it was only one but it was amazing!
Those colors look a lot like the fame pallette- which I love!
So. Much. Fun! Loved that you reviewed the brushes too. I thought you were almost through and then you started on the eyes, YAY! Love the cool tones on you.
I love your channel Emily! You help me make better decisions about the makeup I am using and I often learn new techniques while watching. I am getting frustrated about makeup transfer while using a face mask. I am sure that I am not the only one with this issue I was wondering if you have considered doing a video on makeup that doesn’t transfer as easily - like long lasting lipsticks and how to set the face with the mask in consideration etc. That would be a very useful video right now.
I am in love with Colourpop eyeshadows. Thanks for showing this one off!
"Could you not discontinue things just a month or two after you've made them?" I feel like this is SOOOO Colourpop! 🤣🤣 They may not truly discontinue things that quickly, but since they almost never restock, they might as well!
Just purchased that palette too the taupe one was sold out so I got the stone instead- thanks for your review
I bought this pallette just recently and awaiting it's arrival. I wish so much that they add more soft baby pinks and some icy baby blues both for my mobile lids!!!!! i have white/silver hair, pale with light blue eyes. But looks as though they have plenty cool toned transition colors to work for my hooded lids. I hope it doesn't disappoint!
Thank you for reviewing this Em!
I can’t wait to get mine. I’ve been wanting a cool toned palette , and finally am getting one!
Health Care Professional here - typically those little whiteheads that tend not to come to head and that aren’t real red or inflamed are a form of fungal acne. The easiest way to clear it up is to use a little bit of OTC Nizoral shampoo (make sure it’s the formulation with ketoconazole as the active ingredient) to wash the area. If you have a large breakout or it’s resistant to clearing up, you can also use otc clotrimazole 1% cream. Don’t use acids or retinoids on the area because it’s important that your microbiome goes back to baseline and that your lipid barrier has time to repair. Cerave face wash and moisturizer is a good line to use while it’s clearing up. Hope that helps!
Hi Emily, love your videos! Those little white bumps under your skin are called milia. I have had many of them around my eyes. My dermatologist says the only way to remove them is with a tiny cut in the skin. Then they pop out like a tiny pearl. My derm actually has a special tool for them. It’s a small scalpel on one end and a comedone extractor on the other end. I have read on some eye cream descriptions that the product won’t case milia. I was wondering if spraying your brush with a finishing spray before dipping into the color would help it be bolder. Thanks for your wonderful personality! 🤗💕
I believe they are called Milia…I get them on my forehead too. They are dead skin cells that get trapped under the skin. I exfoliate using cereve SA cleanser once a week and I use a retinol. Retinols are so varied hard to know which one works. Plus your skin has to do something to it making it useful hard to know which ones are best. I use over the counter Differin under moisturizer at night. It says it’s for acne but it’s also good for anti-aging and milia. Doesn’t over dry like Rx Retinoids. Build up to it over time. Makes skin look more youthful over time too.
Yes! My dermatologist once said they were blackheads that sealed over. 🤷🏻♀️
Hi Emily, yes l need to get the stone gold eyeshadow palettes, l love the colors and shades in it, hugsssss ❤❤❤
I really enjoyed this video, a big fan of Colour Pop. Haven’t seen your sweet little morning visitor popping in from her corner of the room. Miss Belle must be in school now.
just ordered mine, cannot wait for it to come! :):)
I love that pretty fresh spray as well! Great video!
I absolutely love my stone cold fox palette and the brush set too.
Thank you your tutorials for shadows have helped me so much❤
Master’s Brush Cleaner from the art supply store works REALLY WELL for my denser makeup brushes.
@EmilyNoel the bumps on the forehead are called called Pityrosporum folliculitis aka fungal acne! And if you get a antifungal cream or wash from your dermatologist and use it once a day for a few days it will clear right up. Sometimes you have to use it once a week or once a month to keep it away. Super common on the chest and back too. I’m a dermatology RN this is so common.
I got the Taupe palette just last week or so. Then the Stone Cold Fox came out right on the heels of that one. Of course, I had to get it. I think it's a good compliment to go with the Bare Necessities palette. Colourpop does crank out the products! I'm waiting for the release of the Baby Yoda palette!!
