Great build! I always appreciate people who make "off meta" fun builds work. You had a lot of very interesting details about what does and does not function with overpower scattered throughout the video. Would you consider doing a video (or a writeup would be even better) summarizing how everything does/doesn't work with overpower? Seems like the mechanic CAN scale, but you how you do it is not well explained by the game, leading lots of people to waste points/slots of things that aren't really helping their damage. I would love some clarity (and it would help all overpower builds, not just this one).
Hey! Absolutely loving the build, easily one of the most fun builds I've played in D4! I've been experimenting with removing points from Blood Mist, since the only benefit you really gain from additional points past the first, is a slight reduction in cooldown and increase in healing, which isn't an issue Those points are then reallocated into maxing out Inspiring Leader, and taking Supernatural Blight as the x15% increased damage seems like it applies to Overpower damage, too, though I still need to test this a bit further before I can confirm this. Then I swap Blight and Bone Storm in as demanded by the situation! I'm not sure if this works with the Blighted legendary Aspect though, as I haven't tested it yet!
i play a Blood Lance Build and i'm lvl 100 and i never had a issue with lag. it super close to your build and me any my friends do tier 70 to 80 nightmare without lagg or stuttering even when trying to group large packs together. But thanks for the build
Just got changed: "Enhanced Blood Lance now pierces up to a maximum of 10 enemies. Aspect of Hungry Blood now fires up to a maximum of 3 Blood Lances per cast. Developer Note: This is indeed a nerf to Blood Lance, but Blood Lance has been so good for Necromancers that it has been crashing the game! This is a temporary solve while the team reworks the way the Legendary Aspect will function, and we expect this change sometime in Season 1 or shortly after."

I went with Bone necro after spending a good while trying to make minions work in NM tier 45+ with little success, however I also thought of blood, I'm not a TC guy and Bone already had a lot of material available so I went with that. as the season approaches I might make a second necro for a blood build now that I see quite a few people speak about how the build works; I love how bone can literally nuke a room with a single strike but got does it look good to see a metric ton of numbers on youur screen at once too
I wouldn't hold my breath on blizzard fixing the lag issue, that same problem was ongoing throughout the entire time meteor wizard was around in D3. Hopefully they get it together for D4
I'd love to know this as well I'm running a mist corsp explosion build and getting bored with the single target dps... wonder how this is. I'm not looking to respec and have the same issue haha
you can kill it fairly quickly ( around a min or two) , for reference my blood lances do 1.5 to 2m damage on overpower on a tier 85+ . but my build aint the same as his , i simply gave up reap as it becomes really dangerous to get that close ; getting a corpse drop on the ground is easy and safe , i did put the rathma's chosen on amulet to get 75% so i would gain an aspect slot ( i removed the aspect that gives atk speed on crit) to get more op damage instead . i beleive my build is slightly stronger than his and way safer , as i have not even used bone storm (and i cannot for the life of me get a sacrificial aspect , it NEVER DROPS , so i'm stuck with the 15% gain) but anyway i can still do 90+ with "ease" if you don't count the fucking lag . Maybe it feels stronger because my bloodlance op damage is stronger , and because i kill faster i'm less bothered with lag

@@travisbillmyre9718 the build is noticably weaker against spiders, because there are so many that come at one time , otherwise it still works ,i did a tier 85 dungeon earlier , it was slower but still works.i dont think i can step into tier95+ now tho
umbral is prob better than potent blood it procs twice on corpse tendrils and your curse will give essence now so when you pull 10 mobs you get 80 essence also since you want to stand still and cast the running around picking up blood orbs play style seems counterintuitive
Just started to build and collect everything, and just now the build was nerfed. It would be really great if you could do an update on this build, to show if it's still playable or not. Edit: Granted, this is the first time i'm playing this build, so i might do something wrong in the rotation or whatever, but this just seems unplayable right now. It feels like the nerf just straight up doesn't allow you to kill large groups anymore because the Lance's fail to spread enough. Truly sad, cost me 100m and grinding for hours to get the aspects, for nothing.
hey Struth, just an update. I don't think blood lance is breaking the game anymore as of 1.04, I did a test run trying to intentionally break the game and I couldn't get it to happen anymore

PSA: They've nerfed the unholy hell out of the skill to try and prevent it from crashing the servers. No longer does nearly as much damage as it did in this build, which already wasn't all that much. R.I.P Blood Lance
Aoe damage with blood lance is not from overpower, its from self-triggering blood lances, so you need to investigate in its own damage. But i didnt test it after patch (i dont play it now) and im not shure if new numbers are enough to just be able to play with it (to trigger itself).
My build wasnt even lagging servers because im not abusing certain things to push it further so i got nerfed without a single buff to counteract it... Blizzard being Blizzard as always, destrying everything thats fun in pursuit of egotistical goals!
Yep they officially announced it they nerf tf out of it ...kinds like poe more with their builds that make this screen look like a pixelated mess I love it

@@prollstation id say it is worth trying because Overpower Blood builds are alot of fun but dont go after builds just because you saw someone using it and looks strong, instead seek what you find fun and interesting otherwise you will destroy your own enjoyment of it.
wow I learned a lot about overpower, that's crazy. been running my own blood lance build. why not use the aspect that increases your overpower dmg based on the amount you over heal? you can proc stacks with health potions lol.
Since we are on the verge of season #1, for leveling do you recommend blood surge until you get specific aspects? Or you think blood lance will be ok during leveling. Thanks for posting a build guide btw
how do you have so much Overpower i dont get it i'm only sub 500 with out the mage buff and i have Overpower on all pieces you state just not maxed out but that can't be the difference from 450 to your 900ish base with out mage buff
I'm using this to level in season 1. Just to decide if I wanna take it to late game. Bone spear is getting old, and everyone is using it... Booring!! 26 I'm super tanky, haven't found accelerating aspect yet (the bread and butter). What do you do for single target bosses? Just spam blood lance, and hemorrhage, then blood lance again? Or will accelerating drastically improve single targets with flourishes too?
Is this post the pseudo nerf or does it still work? I know it technically wasn’t a nerf just a bandage until they can fix the crashing but I’m super interested!
Really want to try this build but I play with 2 friends sometimes and if its going to lag out every time it's going to be frustrating. Looks very tanky compared to bone spear.
I jumped into a D4 discord and there's a group that actually want to see if they can crash a server with this build. Maybe trying to dupe items or something this is how exploits are discovered so we'll see what blizzard does.

It's really pathetic that the game can't keep up. On PS5 I noticed I had constant lag. Constant rubber banding. When I turned off cross play tough this went away... Its really disgusting that they are so God damn cheap and won't pay for s slightly better server
Happily, Bloodlance has received a temporary nerf to stop crashing the server ... and a more complete/streamlined nerf will come soon... I hope before S1 ... The build is really impressive, but wwith its Server Lag/Crash side it was impossible for the Devs not to do anything

agree. im running a shadow sever build because everyone's running bone spear. makes the game super stale when everyones just running one build

We won't know before the S1 patch notes release but as of now, it's bone spear.

This was before nerf but post nerf still works good obviously not as good but still viable. Hopefully they do bring it back once they fix the lagging.

The problem is it is not gonna work in PVP, so far I think bone is the best overall for both pvp and dung and boss crawling
how is necro in 70-90 dungeons? isn't he so squishy like a sorc ?

How does this get essence? That’s my issue with still my necro builds i always run out of essence
aspect of potent blood. and the speed of basic skill, maximum essence is important in jewels too. Rocking this build so far.
