Wow. I love to see a pilot who knows his equipment. Running through those mental checklists awful quick, captain. Still, very well done. Shows lots of skill and thorough, confident command.
Yes me too, the condition lever for this KA90 cannot go further. If you can see I moved the condition lever from low to high before put the GEN online. If you cant see well just listen careful to the engine. I you watched my other videos on the KA200GT its a different thing. There yes the condition lever at high position can go until the top. Take a look to my other start-up videos on the KA200. Fly safe, bye..
Wow... and that boys and girls is a professional pilot startup, really KNOWING the mental startup checklist in your head what buttons to hit in which sequence not having to look at a checklist....that is knowing the equipment before you even start the engine(s).....
hello, yes the KA 90 isnt a small aircraft, but still it has a max take off weight bellow 12500 lb, so it doesnt needs a first officer on board, it is a single pilot aircraft certifed. Any way some companies fly the KA90 with 2 pilots..
Saludos!!
Of course, I use the throttles to help me in the ground while I'm taxing. The moment I change from idle to ground fine (beta mode) it makes a ground effect that make very easy to turn the aircraft without using a lot of brakes. All the taxi time I use ground fine and I use lo idle in one side to help me turn.
A flow is a memorized pattern in which the pilot completes items by memory then once completed backs up each item with the checklist, there are also "do" items which the pilot must complete each item directly from the checklist...
as with any high pace commercial operation, checklists are from memory and re confirm with with paper checklists before departure which is exactly what his did!
Nice video..................... How did you taxi the aircraft? I mean did you use any tiller or secondary steering? and how did you put the a/c on right path(frond gear on the yellow line) ?
Yes, in fact its call beta mode or ground fine that I use to help me taxi. The engines are not in reverse. On Beta and the other in idle. It helps me a lot to avoid using my brakes.
Normally, you set the power and the propeller governor adjust the propeller pitch to give the selected RPM. In beta, you set the prop pitch and the power is adjusted to give the selected RPM. beta range works both for forward and reverse thrust.
Nice vids. I really like them when commented. May you tell us what are the buttons you pressed for each sequence and whats to be done when starting an engine; A tuto somehow thks
Checa tus listas. Un saludos y gracias por comentar!!
Great job. I'm only a beggining pilot and i'd love to fly one of these. Maybe i could co pilot some time? :P i'm good at radios, never flown a dual engine though
I wasn't being arrogant, as a matter of fact I enjoyed watching this. My point however was something else, that it would have been better not to fool people with the wrong tags. I mean just think about it: STEALTH? 747? 777? AIRBUS? ...?
Now do all the King Airs have a ground fine mode? Even the late model ones? Cause we had a '87 B300 with the Black Hawk XP conversion that took the stock PT6's and bumped them up to -65's and it had a ground fine mode. The mechanic that was working on the bird told me this is one of the only older King Air's with a ground fine mode.
Nice. Thanks for sharing. Confirms to me that at 54 I'll problably be sticking with Cessna singles. Just don't think I have it in me anymore to learn all that. In fact if I could simply flap my arms and fly, I'd even prefer that.
Love the video. Quick question. Can you give a quick description on what you were doing with the throttle and condition levers during your taxi. Low/high idle, beta range, etc?
hi, i have some questions, :P i think everyone would like if u answer... 1. If i have a P.P.L., is there anyway i can fly Twin engine(Prop) planes ? i mean studying further something... (i know i can't fly twin engine with P.P.L.) 2. why is there no Co-Pilot ? this is a commercial flight, right ? (i don't know much about this) 3. And... about how much are the Marshallers get paid..., just curious... :P Thanks..
No take off?? Reminds me of the time of having the pleasure sitting in the co-pilots seat while my airline mechanic friend fired up a 737 (awesome by the way) and taxied it to the other side of MDW to the maintenance hangar...
Hello, of course I will upload more of them soon! Its a pleasure to listen that! If you need any thing about the king air 90 or 200, I have a lot of stuff. Let me know! Thanks for comment! Greetings from Mexico
Oh hey again, i have some questions about these procedures on king air... so here it is: When starting engines, do you use high idle? then if both engines are already started, you put it back to low idle? oh and can you explain a little more about "ground fine" and why do you use it instead rudders.. thanks, greetings from brazil

Great job bro! Very confident!

Really nice video's! and LOL at that "wiewwiewwiewwiewwiew" sound when spooling up the engines! It's just like in flightsim!
Nicely done! It's like you've done that once or twice before...please continue to upload! I look forward to more of your vids.
Hes handling that plane like a BOSS!
No, the thing it look is the ground fine mode, is the range between low idle and reverse (beta mode)
i´m so jelouse. buddy you´re lucky and must feel proud for being on that kingair
Thank you! It took me a lot of practice! But always use checklists. There is the knowledge. =)
Very professionally done dude!!
My little brother love too watch this.
Too cool! You ran through that procedure unbelievably quickly! :P

does the rudder move with the nose wheel?.

yes, king air C90B!
My dream is to know what are all these buttons you're touching to?!
haha now this is general aviation for you... everything is done on the go!
Love the video. Quick question. Can you give a quick description on what you were doing with the throttle and condition levers during your taxi. Low/high idle, beta range, etc?
Beautiful video, congratulations! A pitty that we can´t see the plane taking off!
Thumbs up for choosing the newspaper instead of something else @2.56

Thank for comment!
just beautiful.
My Civil Air Patrol Squadron Commander noticed that too. Our unit was doing a safety briefing on cockpit safety.
No take off?? Reminds me of the time of having the pleasure sitting in the co-pilots seat while my airline mechanic friend fired up a 737 (awesome by the way) and taxied it to the other side of MDW to the maintenance hangar...
Question. Engine 2. You go to high-RPM on this engine. Is this to start engine 1? Do you use a bleed-air system to start engines?
tks,

Greetings from Mexico
Don't you LOVE the sound of near feathered props?
At the start i thought that was a bobble head or something on the front of the dash board :P
There is a checklist in front of the pilot for all saying otherwise, good pilot I want the plane it looks cool.
