  • In this video I made my own water misting system that can be used by itself or with a fan blowing the mist. it is incredible how much it cools the area it's blowing water vapor. My dogs quickly figured this out!
    I used PEX a tubing with PEX a compression fittings. there is a multitude of ways to build this, you can even buy it premade.
    Brass Misters: amzn.to/3yXCla4
    Full premade unit: amzn.to/3yU6hUj
    I actually did buy one on Amazon pre-made for $20. for the price and convenience it's worth it. however there are some pitfalls and non-modularities that I could do without, so I had to make my own suited on my own needs.

    I wasn't aware these were commercially available, "cool". I put mine together myself and like you said that is too much water in doors. I only use two misters mounted near the top of the fan. The mist won't fall up. Use the hose valve to control the waterflow to them. That will help in a garage. I only used the 1/4" tubing and misters from the garden section, the same as what you ordered. No doubt your PEX model will be more durable

    I was expecting a Toyota tundra in the driveway but I always seemed to judge books by their cover when I went to the library lol. Anyhow, as a nozzle enthusiast- weird I know- I dig the quick release bell valve in that garden hose. It’s like a mini booster line setup. Keep the valve but try a smooth bore nozzle. You’ll love it

      Your intuitive assessment was probably right, I used to own a Ram 1500, but didn't make financial sense to keep owning so I got something to suit my needs. I have high value on being self reliant and self taught. I'll have to look into the smooth bore nozzle, never heard of it. And the pick set, lmao, I have one, but I'm about to get another because I've lost some of them... cheers friend.

    Does yours work better than the premade because yours only has one nozzle, or because the nozzle is better quality? Are the nozzles you ordered the .4mm?

    • @kove
      @kove  Месяц назад

      Mine was better because it didn't leak as much, and better materials that would last longer. Also better (no fault of the premade) because I didn't need that much water. I ordered .4mm, .3mm and .5mm.

    What’s the tubing your using ? Is it regular pvc tubing does not looks like pvc cause pvc it’s more rigid the one your using is able to flex around to circle. Another question is what’s the mister difference I see 5mm and a 11mm maybe? And your using 5mm? And what’s the tool you use at 8:59? Great video btw thanks for sharing!

    • @kove
      @kove  Год назад +1

      The tubing is pex-a tubing. (not to be confused with pex-b). Al the fitting are pex-a compression fitting as well. I'd be happy with any of the sizes, but went with a middle range of .8mm IIRC. The tool is a manual pex-a tool, required.
