Lightnin' is my guitar idol, I grew up listening to him, have made the trek to the county he was born in, then to his statue in Crockett, TX across from an old juke joint he used to play at. He was very weary of white guys, didn't trust them for obvious reasons and when playing with them, he would purposely throw them off time and change things up. He kept it simple but harder than one would think. Once you know his licks, you can play everything he put out.
