Same noise here with a Dell xps 15 9570, same fan (the left one). I tried to see if something was interfering with the fan but there was nothing. I switched on the pc while opened, and the noise continued. If I physically stop the fan, the noise goes away. I noticed also that tilting the laptop causes differences in noise. I’m not sure what the cause could be, but probably the fan has some loose inner parts which vibrate. Any suggestion? I’ll try to change the fan.
Did you solve the problem.I have exact same problem with my acer nitro 5.When ı turn the laptop upside down sometimes the sound goes off.How did you solve this problem
Mine has the same issue (XPS 15 9750, 2017). I think most of the left fan part has the same issue. Even though I replace it twice, the same issue occurred. ONLY LEFT part has problem. :(
FYI, I bought three replacement parts from ebay and amazon. All of them have same issue. I thought that this issue result from poor design. However, right parts didn't have a issue. Thus, i replace right part into left part by customizing device.
Same happened to me i opened my laptop opened the fan by cutting 2 of 5 clips then opened the fan i found it dried out so after applying lubricant its soundless now..
May the patience be on your side! My technical support subscription has now expired, a year later, but the downtime of 3 fix attempts doesn't justify the point of renewing the support for £220 a year. Thankfully it's been smooth since the last fix (was sent from UK to Poland months ago) as long as you don't let windows to kill it over a period of time with its updates (coughing) hopefully it's long lasting laptop! 👀😄
@@pesix The guy from Dell came on Friday changed the coolers. He further changed the heat sink and did the repasting with the paste I bought (cause I was planning to do that because of the overheating issues when playing games). Now everything works great and the laptop is really quiet. I still have the power throttling issue which I am planning to address soon. Cheers
@@goranstojanoski2 undervolt is your friend in this regards. At idle I dropped 5-6'C from a repast and then a further 10'C from undervolting. I used to hit 80-90 when gaming, now sits just in the 70's on both cpu and gpu
After 2 on site visits & attempts to fix by replacing the fans - it was sent to Poland? from UK for inspection, few days later got an e-mail saying that the issue was resolved - with no exact explanation what they did. Few days later it's been sent back to me in a cardboard box rather than original Dell box with the noise gone, but screen covered with lots of dust & fat fingerprints despite sending them almost immaculate & clean laptop.... Opened the laptop and noticed 2 edges of the laptop had started to chip off the lacquer from most likely how it was pressed into the box for dispatch. Fan Noise was gone but attention to detail has been very poor. I hope others have a better experience.
I have the Dell xps 9750 2019 4K my battery life is 4 hours and my right speaker has metallic noise I would never going to buy Dell in my life only MacBook Pro.
Thanks for advise. Engineer has been on site already twice within 7 days time. 2 fans replaced, + a new palm rest now. Problem still persists. Reported again.
i can't hear this from the sound of my fan on my xps

Any update? Does it worth changing the fan? The right side fan (video fan) does not work properly and I got error code 0511.

Have the same issue. Also with the right fan. Going to check how it's can be replaced by myself.
