Oh hey, I read some of this a couple of years ago!
Pleasantly surprised that behind the 'totally not a tourism ad for how good Japanese food is' there's a genuinely pretty decent world-hopping adventure story combined with a romantic comedy. Bonus points for the romantic chemistry between the leads being so obvious virtually everyone around them is rooting for them to actually admit it to themselves/each other.
That´s a nice twist. Usually it´s someone from a "normal" world who travels through a fantasy-world and here the roles are reversed.

I looooooooooooooooooooove this series. The LN is such an immense joy to read. Those two are one of the cutest couples out there. J-Novel Club is doing the LN translations and it's available at Book-Walker as an ebook. I totally recommend it if you want something different. It's part adventure, part romance, and part foodie.

this is a great slice of life reverse isekai with a twist i highly recommend everyone give this series a chance!

I wish reverse isekai would do something interesting with the concept rather than "Japanese cuisine is amazing". Like have a reverse isekaid protagonist get put on earth in the middle of an alien invasion and have to put their magical abilities up against sci fi tech.
