He probably did not need to remove the splash plate to reach the transmission line, but if you want to open the drain port, the splash plate will need to be removed to drain from the drain port.
@Kevin Joseph It's a built in Japan model Camry. I got lucky with that. Also a CarFax, 1 owner, serviced at dealership every 5k miles when he traded it in for a new 2016 model - at the dealership. I got it in '16 with 186,000 miles on it. 458,000 today.
@@austinsears1637 I just retired it from service last month. 472,000 still running fine but I thought it might be time to park it. It's for sale but I haven't gotten many bites on it. Probably the miles keep people away.
