Now that is a true love for framing ,to be planted in your own field when you pass away ,,that man must been great guy to have his kids spread his ashes doing what he loved ,great video bud
Your a big operation but you don't act like one. Nice to see you clean up around the rock and the little slice that was missed. Taking pride in everything you do!! Big operators by me wouldn't waste the time that's just not right. Nice job Jr. and Andy
I love watching and great to see Grandpa, Dad and the boys all working the farm together. The future is in good hands from the looks. The drone stuff is so good too, thanks.
Great to see some mowing and I also like hearing about the farms and their stories. Thanks a lot. It would be nice if possible to see some more of the actions before chopping, like mowing and windrowing.
Thank you Andy. You always post top notch videos and you really show the pride you have in your work. Thank you for keeping food on the table and milk in the glass. 🥛
I'm impressed with how fast you seem to go! I would hate to think how long it would take to mow that hay with a WD 45 Allis pulling a 10 ft Haybine! That's what I used the last time I mowed hay for my Uncle about 47 yrs. ago!
Thoroughly enjoyed this video. I’ve done a lot of farming thru the years but I’ve never seen cutters front and back of the tractor. Really neat. Thanks for the video. 👍👍👍❤️
Nice one Andy and Andrew ! I did nt realise Pottinger mowers were available in US..Good mowers but hope the parts are cheaper for you guys there than here in Europe 😉
Your video was a nice peaceful way to wind down the day. I always enjoyed mowing hay. Enjoyed the smell of fresh cut alfalfa. The only bummer was if I ran into a cat, rabbit, pheasant, or some animal hidden in the hay. Not a good outcome for them.
Thanx for sharing. You've got yourself one great young man with you there. I'm amazed at his knowledge of farming and equipment. Stay safe men and God Bless.
The new way of cutting hay looks so much easer when I was growing up we used a Hey bind and had no satellite to drive of 1986 to 2020 how farming has changed. Great video
Nice. Love the KW... yes, your paint scheme.. chopper. paint shop. post 2nd harvest. paint it black, red snout and spout. Another great late supper time video..
Another great video thank you Andy. Sorry to hear you’re going into a drought there. We just came out of a three year drought here where we are in Australia. A lot of other places had on average a seven year one. For us we usually get around 60 inches of rain annually. Last year we got 8 inches total. Was the worst in living memory. Alfalfa (they call it lucurne here) was the only thing that pulled us through for feed.
u sure wouldn't of been going that fast with a sickle bar mower of the old days.lol. jeepers i would lfew off the old tin seat for sure. i rode a lot hrs for my pap, had to manually lift the cutter bar at the end of the rows with them. i sure liked the video-so thank u!
Great video Andy and by no means goofy. I love your channel and keep the great videos coming. I would love to see some photos of the Kenworth truck as well. Thank you. Tony
Over here in Cow Hampsha those skips are called "holidays" In order to be a safe mower you have to leave one close to the road so that as the mowing inspectors drive by o check on you they can see your error at a glance instead of having to really crane their necks and maybe get into a wreck. Mow safely!!
Lot's of pull type tine conditioner Pottinger's around here and are well liked and a few thousand cheaper than others. Good to see junior is potty trained now. Lol
Very pretty place! Andrew my want to build a house there one day. When do y’all go back to school? You going to miss Andrew being around all day! Thanks again for sharing Andy!
I love goofy hay cutting videos! Ok the question - what are your pros and cons with using a triple mower vs self propelled windrower? Thanks for another video and Bubb, we'll keep watching.
Its been dry as a popcorn fart in lower NY. The farmer was baling next to us and it didn't take long from the time he cut it to the time to bale. It looked like you could set it on fire in the field it was so dry
We run a set of agco mowers with the tine conditioners, we have it on a 220hp tractor but 180hp would run it fine. The front doesn't follow the contours like those pottingers do though.
I would love to bale that field In small squares. Looks beautiful. I like that mower setup 30’ a pass. And I feel in high cotton mowing with 2 tractors and cutters this year 20’ a pair lol
Will you make silage with this? How long will it sit in the windrow before the chopper comes along.? Or maybe it's for hay bales? We always swathed right infront of the chopper. We found if it was left to dry, it became difficult to pack in the silage pit.
hay guys i don't know if you have ran a 7920, i'll tell ya if y get a chance to run one for a while, or get you one, you wont be disappointed, they will walk all over them 7930, they are full framed the motors wow you would not think so but they are a nice little big tractor, that's all i can think of to explain it is ''it's a little big tractor'' and it's just the right sizes for planting corn, or mowing or anything like that, it's a great little tractor to spreed manure, i mean i had one, the guy i worked for bought two of them, and we have the 30 to but nobody wants to run the the 30, they all want 20's i don't know y the dealer ships push the 30's cause the 20's are twice the tractor, truly !!!!! just say'n !!!!!
As fast as you can go and as nice as your mowers are is mowing still the most time consuming part of making silage ??? Is it common to mow one day and chop the next ? Thanks for the neet drone shots !!
Great Video Andy. I bet the self propelled JD is a little underwhelming compared to one you used, eh? Did I see a Millennial Farmer hat on Andrew? Looks good! Zach will be proud! When Zach visited was about when I started watching your channel. You can blame him for my hanging out here Andy!
Farming Fixing & Fabricating Thought so, great way to further utilise the tractor as well. Cheers Andy. Hoping for a bit of rain for you. We don’t grow so much alfalfa in the UK for some reason. (I’m no expert)
What kind of ground speed can you run with the pottinger triple? Curious how it compares in terms of acres/hour to a self propelled. I like the ride in a good self propelled swather, always heard it was hard to run as fast in a triple mower setup, but would love your thoughts. Looks like you're moving along pretty good!
God bless that farmer resting out in the field that he labored over decades ago. ✝️
I love to hear the history of old farms.
P
My favorite tractor especially with the front 3 point hitch and the wide tires
How fast can you mow with that setup with not having the flails
Heavy crop about 8mph
Now that is a true love for framing ,to be planted in your own field when you pass away ,,that man must been great guy to have his kids spread his ashes doing what he loved ,great video bud
Your short goofy videos are much better than other’s supposedly great videos. Enjoy your weekend
Thanks bud
Farming Fixing & Fabricating please keep the great videos coming.

Everybody was going to jump on the SKIP @ 16:00 until you posted a screen note that there is a plan for most every scenario.
Lol
Excellent video well done top job top team awesome thanks y'all be safe out there 🇺🇸🇬🇧
Nice to see your father still working and involved on the farm
Thank you Andy. You always post top notch videos and you really show the pride you have in your work. Thank you for keeping food on the table and milk in the glass. 🥛
Thanks for the ride along Andy and Jr. Nice alfalfa crop despite the drought. #12 👍
I missed my calling as a farmer!!! I love all your videos!!! Thank you for sharing Andy!!
That drone footage was so beautiful! I love how Andrew follows you around, how sweet.
Stories of each field are always a treat. Really impressed with kids handling of the equipment. They do real well, keep up the good work!!
Corn looks good too. Always enjoy the videos keep them coming

Hi Andy. Love the stories of these Farms past. Liked, shared. All my best.
Nice one Andy and Andrew ! I did nt realise Pottinger mowers were available in US..Good mowers but hope the parts are cheaper for you guys there than here in Europe 😉

we got our first rotary mower in the early 70's sure it had only 1,65m but it was so much better than anything we had before
Hi Andy nice video and nice to see you doing something new keep safe Graham uk
Nice.

My favourite time of the year silage time! Used to b out mowing in a 860 class with triple 10ft disco’s out front loved it.

Just time to watch this before bed time!
Great video Andy and by no means goofy. I love your channel and keep the great videos coming. I would love to see some photos of the Kenworth truck as well. Thank you. Tony
The country side there is pleasing to the senses thanks for the video
Looking nice for second as dry as it is we need some rain here in western Pa to perk up the second we didn't cut yet. 👍
Just wanted to compliment you Andy on the great drone footage and for "splainin': things.... where's the rock music?... thanks again !
I can just imagine the smell of that fresh cut alfalfa Andy!
Good video boss. Thank you so much for taking the time to share with us.

enjoyed the video guys thanks good drone footage hope it stays dry for you
Mowing at a good pace , Thanks for the great videos
Great video! Thanks Andy and Andrew
Keep learning about the farm equipment junior. Pretty soon you’ll be able to hand the reins over and Andy then you can relax a bit lol
Loved this video. Same shit I be doing. Mowing with my son. Great content Andy.
I had hoped there would be more on your channel about the actual day to day cattle operation.
Very pretty place! Andrew my want to build a house there one day. When do y’all go back to school? You going to miss Andrew being around all day! Thanks again for sharing Andy!
First part of September
Love how that potinger does.you have the most interesting vids.thanks
So June we got 1.1 inches of rain over here just north of exit 40 on the Thruway and now after yesterday’s rain we’ve had 2.6” for July
About 5 inches here in the last week
Farming Fixing & Fabricating wow yeah I heard Marcellus way got pounded
About 3.3 inches for me here since last Friday.
Young mans doing a fine job handling that rig👍
It is what it is and that's awesome thanks Andy
Great video. Thanks Andy
Great video Andy
WowAndy, that sure goes a lot faster than the sickle mower on the Super C did.
Seems your speed is
sort of fast , which is good.😀👍🏾🚜🇺🇸
Sure a lot faster than the way we used to do it back in the day 🚜👍
I love goofy hay cutting videos! Ok the question - what are your pros and cons with using a triple mower vs self propelled windrower? Thanks for another video and Bubb, we'll keep watching.
Lovely machine, great video
I was going to ask you to do a mowing video really enjoyed it mowing is my favorite job
Peterbilt and Kenworth down to the bone for me
What GREAT drone footage, thanks

thanks for doing what you do

Or maybe it's for hay bales?
We always swathed right infront of the chopper. We found if it was left to dry, it became difficult to pack in the silage pit.
Last for 24 hours and chop
Great video love the drone shots, man upstate is nice
Oh yea Andy
Great video, Andy!
Another great ride, this time in the mower. Presents a great pic from the air. Enjoyed every minute of it. tks
Thanks for the comment
Thats farming pride in what your đoing puting in 110 percent
Love that wide cut ! Back in the '50's in England, I went to high school with a Pottinger !! Are you in Western NY State ?
Central New York
Like history of farms and view of them
hay guys i don't know if you have ran a 7920, i'll tell ya if y get a chance to run one for a while, or get you one, you wont be disappointed, they will walk all over them 7930, they are full framed the motors wow you would not think so but they are a nice little big tractor, that's all i can think of to explain it is ''it's a little big tractor'' and it's just the right sizes for planting corn, or mowing or anything like that, it's a great little tractor to spreed manure, i mean i had one, the guy i worked for bought two of them, and we have the 30 to but nobody wants to run the the 30, they all want 20's i don't know y the dealer ships push the 30's cause the 20's are twice the tractor, truly !!!!! just say'n !!!!!
Is that right. We have a 7720 and a 7730 and don't see a difference in either one.
What gross tonnage do you get per cutting or rather total tonnage off the hay in a year? Is it about 8-10 tonne per cutting?
3-4
Nice looking hay crop
Will you plow the field under this fall. And plant corn wheat?
Plow it in the spring and it will go into corn
As fast as you can go and as nice as your mowers are is mowing still the most time consuming part of making silage ??? Is it common to mow one day and chop the next ? Thanks for the neet drone shots !!
Yes mow today chop tomorrow
Great Video Andy. I bet the self propelled JD is a little underwhelming compared to one you used, eh? Did I see a Millennial Farmer hat on Andrew? Looks good! Zach will be proud! When Zach visited was about when I started watching your channel. You can blame him for my hanging out here Andy!
Yes he has a millennial farmer hat on
Thanks for taking us along A&A! Sure was a fancy Kenworth, but is it common for clutch to go after 3yrs? Cheers
Depends on the terrain it's in
Great video, awesome field!
Are you able to make dry hay easily with no conditioners on the mower?
Yes
I run a 8,8m butterfly on a 2019 6130R and it has just enough power to be comfortable, how fast do you drive when cutting?
It varies around 10mph
@@FarmingFixingFabricating aah, mine can handle 9
I know that beeping sound real well from working ground with a 9520
What’s the price tag on the triple mower
It"s something we haven't seen much of.
Are corn just starting to tassel
Nice
Nice drone footage.
Which is best Andy in your opinion, the self propelled or the triples?
Triple
Farming Fixing & Fabricating Thought so, great way to further utilise the tractor as well. Cheers Andy. Hoping for a bit of rain for you. We don’t grow so much alfalfa in the UK for some reason. (I’m no expert)
How many windrows do you put together into one when you merge them together?
7
Hey Andy. Love the mowing video. Did you ever consider getting a Krone big M mower? They are getting very popular here in Ireland
No we haven't
Good video its good to have some different content!
How fast do you cut Andy?? Sweet rig, sweet job!!👍😎👌🙂
10-12.5
Boy Andy, at 30 feet per pass you can cover a ton of acres a day.
Same speed
Nice video. Send some of that rain to Maine. Haha have you guys ever thought about a Krone big m? Seems like everyone around here has one.
Expensive
What mower is more efficient/productive? The triple or the self propelled?
Triple
What is your crop rotation. Will you do corn on this field next year and then wheat and back to hay?
Corn for 4 years
@@FarmingFixingFabricating Than do you do wheat or hay?
How acres can you cut in one day??? And how fast do you drive cutting hay???
2-300, about 12mph
