Was watching a fair bit into the video and realized the Nissan 240SX still had to be shown. I'm actually pretty surprised to see it up that high, that's cool! I also find it funny that an old Toyota Corolla is faster than some supercars like the Bugatti Veyron lol

I remembered the camaro being the best for drag, although that was with stage 4 parts, interesting to see if that'll be the case in the final video
I always loved this game. Separating the cars from drag, circuit and top speed. Even though it was very much an arcade game, it made it feel more real. I always ended on Mustang for drag, Viper for speed, and Evo for circuit.

Odd that the GT500 came in at #18 but it was always the best drag car for me. I haven't played in ages, but I think I was doing 9.01-8.90 in the half mile and I think low 5s in the 1/4, but that car was weird. If you launched at with the RPMs in yellow, It went 2/10s slower than if you held it at the limiter. I'd have to play again to see what it actually ran, but it was stupid quick
Does the Roadrunner have the bugged turbo? Disappointed by the Cuda, dunno why they made it so slow when it's basically the same car as the Challenger.
I've checked out the Supra but it's much harder to nail consistently than the first two. When it has tier 4 parts maybe it could do a similar 1-5 or 1-6 shift. I suppose even with all that hp torque is also needed.
The Subaru WRX is the highest option here that's available from the start and with a low price at #13. The times should be fast enough to beat the game with it too. Although the 240sx we start with at #21 is already a pretty decent spot. But why bother? The Challenger becomes available on the very next showdown, so you don't even have to invest into your first drag car. And you can keep the 240sx for wheelies. Interesting. PB 1/4: 5.41 PB 1/2: 8.81

Something tells me those cars are just upgraded, but not tuned up. Some of those cars when tuned should touch about the 400 kmph, and hardly can make 350.
The Toyota Supra is still faster at 1/4 mile as you can do as low as 5.38 but the control of the Dodge Challenger is soooo much better and more consistent so I always stuck to the challenger because of it. The Charger is also faster in the 1/2 mile.

For the game crash after defeating a boss, just go into your MOVIES files and rename the cinematic file for example : simply rename for the drag king to fmv14_drag_king_defeat_english_ntsc.vp6, to whatever
ThirteenAG (guy who made wide-screen fixes of a lot of pc games) has a patch for the continue glitch included with the Generic Fix mod. Installing it is drag-and-drop, so it shouldn't take much effort.

God, the Civic CX is just so terrible in ProStreet. Joe Tackett was supposedly meant to be the "Drag Specialist" of Apex Glide yet his car is just flat out terrible in just about every race mode. But hey, at least the CX has the excuse of being dirt cheap and even something you can get for free. Can't say the same about something like the 67' GT500.
i was top 50 in the world at 1 point the car i used for drag was the camaro ss it can be tuned to do a 1/4 in 3.35 seconds same as the supra can be tuned to do a 1/4 in 3.80 seconds
It will be better with stage 4 parts but not (much) quicker with a different tune. I've tried many things with the AWD Sports cars in general but overall, they just don't perform well in drag races.

To be honest, my RWD evo 9 can reach 7.45 for 1/4 Miles and 11.65 for 1/2 Miles because in stage 2 suspension package this car will wheelie on that

You can bind each individual gear to a key on the settings, so its likely that was used to skip them

Because the cheats for lvl 4 don't work anymore and getting them is random. Unless you are hacking your game

Something tells me those cars are just upgraded, but not tuned up.
Some of those cars when tuned should touch about the 400 kmph, and hardly can make 350.

The Toyota Supra is still faster at 1/4 mile as you can do as low as 5.38 but the control of the Dodge Challenger is soooo much better and more consistent so I always stuck to the challenger because of it. The Charger is also faster in the 1/2 mile.

For the game crash after defeating a boss, just go into your MOVIES files and rename the cinematic file for example : simply rename for the drag king to fmv14_drag_king_defeat_english_ntsc.vp6, to whatever
ThirteenAG (guy who made wide-screen fixes of a lot of pc games) has a patch for the continue glitch included with the Generic Fix mod. Installing it is drag-and-drop, so it shouldn't take much effort.

It's all because it wheelies. It can only use stage 3 or stock suspension, so either massive wheelies or massive wheel spin.

God, the Civic CX is just so terrible in ProStreet. Joe Tackett was supposedly meant to be the "Drag Specialist" of Apex Glide yet his car is just flat out terrible in just about every race mode.
But hey, at least the CX has the excuse of being dirt cheap and even something you can get for free. Can't say the same about something like the 67' GT500.

i was top 50 in the world at 1 point the car i used for drag was the camaro ss it can be tuned to do a 1/4 in 3.35 seconds same as the supra can be tuned to do a 1/4 in 3.80 seconds

It will be better with stage 4 parts but not (much) quicker with a different tune. I've tried many things with the AWD Sports cars in general but overall, they just don't perform well in drag races.
