I could be wrong but I don't think the rode microphone is what was picking up the sound in this vid. I only say that because you're handling and touching of the microphone isn't heard and when you changed the direction of the microphone the sound didn't change with it. Shotgun microphones strongly pick up sound in the direction it faces. Great video anyways!!
