  • In this naturalization interview, another immigration officer is in training, so two USCIS officers are in the room. This is a marriage-based N-400 interview, and the questions and answers are based on the new N400 application form. The applicant had traffic tickets on her record. A good explanation and proof of resolution for the traffic citation are important. This video can help you prepare to become an American citizen. While it gives some ways on what to expect during your naturalization interview, remember that every N400 interview is unique, and yours might not be exactly like this RUclips study and practice video. Thank you to the immigrant applicants who shared their experiences after passing their citizenship test interviews.
    2024 N-400 Interview Tips:
Know the USCIS Officer's Name and Badge Number: It's a good idea to ask for the name and badge number of the USCIS officer who will be interviewing you. This will help you follow up if you have questions, concerns, or complaints after the interview.
Speak Clearly and Confidently: When answering questions during your interview, speak clearly and at a normal pace. This will help the officer understand you better. Also, maintain eye contact to convey confidence and honesty.
Answer Directly and Truthfully: Answer each question directly, briefly, and truthfully. Don't interrupt the officer; if you need more time to think, just let the USCIS officer know.
Expect Courtesy and Professionalism: The USCIS officer conducting your U.S. citizenship interview should be polite and professional. They should be willing to repeat or rephrase questions until you understand. If you encounter an unaccommodating officer, don't worry if you're prepared; you can still do well in your citizenship interview.
Know Your Rights: If you feel the officer is rude or has wrongly denied your N-400 application, you can complain to a supervisor. Remember, this won't affect your naturalization application.

@@USCitizenshipHelpGuide Here is my interview experience I would like to share with other applicants. My N-400 application process took about 6 months. During my interview, I wasn't asked about word definitions. The USCIS officer did take my fingerprints (left and right index) and photo. She was professional but also made the atmosphere comfortable during the interview process. I was passed by just practice US CitizenshipHelpGuide's 100 Civic Questions Video, English reading and writing test video and N-400 Interview videos. My oath ceremony happened on the same day as my interview in Cranbury, New Jersey.

@cynthiamacalinao3401 It's lovely of you, Cynthia Macalinao, to share your son's successful naturalization interview experience. I think that your son has High-functioning autism, also known as HFA. This is a term often used to describe people who exhibit standard autism indicators but have an intelligence quotient (IQ) of 70 or greater. They can speak, read, write, and handle basic life skills, enabling them to live independently. The creator of this channel is a Filipina, and it's nice that you were able watch this video, thank you. Mabuhay Philippines!

@USCitizenshipHelpGuide So I applied in February of this year, did my biometric in March of this year, and got my interview 07182024 in San Francisco California the officer didn't ask no words definition. I was asked 6 questions from my test.
      1. When was the Constitution written (1787)
      2. What is the name of the president, Joe Biden
      3. What is the name of the party now in the office (Democratic )
      4. What is the capital of my state
      (Sacramento)
      5. What Ocean is on the West Ocean
      (Pacific Ocean)
      6. What is the capital of the United States. (Washington DC)
      My reading and writing test.
      Question: Who can vote?
The officer told me to write on the tablet.
      Citizens can vote.
I spent 725 dollars for my application. That's all it cost me: I didn't purchase any video. I used this video on RUclips and other videos to study for my naturalization immigration officer. She was really nice and professional. Good luck with everyone who is getting prepared for their interview. Please study hard, and use this channel to study it will pay off. Thanks again.

Hello, I have a question. Can you help me? I accidentally exceeded the speed limit and received a speeding ticket, so during the naturalization exam,Have you EVER been arrested, cited, detained, or confined by any law enforcement officer, military official (in the U.S. or elsewhere), or immigration official for any reason, or been charged with a crime or offense, or notified that you were being investigated for a crime?,so I don't know if to say yes or no, thank you.

@陈亮-q8s 🌸🌻❤️Hello, Chen Liang😊and welcome to the U.S. Citizenship Help Guide RUclips channel. We are happy to help you! You're most welcome and thanks for visiting our channel. In my own opinion, I think you have to answer “yes”...because of the word "cited" and to cite for example, is a policeman giving someone a speeding ticket. As I had noticed, there were many applicants who already passed their naturalization interviews and tests for U.S. citizenship with traffic citations. I think as long as the applicants are honest with their answers on their N-400 application forms, there’s nothing to worry about. In my understanding...“cited” or “citation” includes moving violations like speeding tickets or traffic citations. And it can also involve those non-moving violations like parking tickets. I also think that the ones that are dangerous are those criminal traffic violations which include driving under the influence, reckless driving and operating a vehicle without any driver's license.

Varsha, know your local United States state representative, governor, senators, and state capital since these questions may come up for your 2024 civics test. When you go for your interview, take your time to answer the questions, especially the ones from form N-400. If you don't hear a question clearly, don't hesitate to ask the USCIS officer to repeat it. Double-check the answers you wrote in your N-400 application. Some people fail because they do not understand the question, so stay focused during the interview.
Bring your I-797C Notice of Action (interview notice letter), as you'll need it to enter the USCIS building. This letter also tells you which documents to bring. Remember to get all your essential documents, including the originals, as the officer may ask to see them. They'll give back the original documents after the interview.

@mloveleon4807 🌸🌻❤️Hello, M love Leon😊and welcome to the U.S. Citizenship Help Guide RUclips channel. "Do you have to mention traffic tickets over 10 years ago?" This will depend on how the USCIS will ask you the questions. If the interviewing officer will start with the “Have you ever…?” question, like or example.....Have you ever received traffic tickets before? This is a catchy question that you need to answer "yes" if you have one since this is a question format used to inquire about someone's past experiences. This format or structure is used to ask if someone has experienced something at any point in their life up to now. Does an applicant need to mention a traffic ticket on N400? If an applicant's only tickets were for parking violations like, for example, staying too long at a parking meter, then the applicant may not need to mention these on Form N-400 or during the naturalization interview. However, for any traffic violation where the applicant was behind the wheel or your motor was running, your best bet is to mention it. Please know that USCIS can see citations in an immigrant applicant's record, can check traffic tickets, and can check driving records. It's important to report all offenses/crimes that an applicant was involved in. Please know that some traffic violations aren't crimes and could only be minor with civil infractions that don't have criminal penalties.
Know your local United States state representative, governor, senators, and state capital since these questions may come up for your 2024 civics test. Hi Mike Garianov! You can start by determining your eligibility to become a U.S. citizen. In general, you may qualify for naturalization if you are at least 18 years old and have been a permanent resident for at least 5 years (or 3 years if you are married to a U.S. citizen) and meet all other eligibility requirements. Please read this link for more information: www.uscis.gov/naturalization-eligibility

      @USCitizenshipHelpGuide  Месяц назад

@sunugongpo3046🌸🌻❤️Hello Sunu Gongpo,😊and welcome to the U.S. Citizenship Help Guide RUclips channel. The USCIS naturalization interview usually happens between 3-8 months after submitting or applying using the N-400 application form. However, it can take up to 1.5 years for some applicants, depending on their application case, since USCIS will still check every applicant's criminal background. The interview is usually short, around 15 to 40 minutes, and you'll need to show that you know basic English and U.S. civics and history. The entire naturalization process, including the wait time for application processing, takes about 14.5 months. After a successful interview, you'll usually have your oath ceremony within from 2 weeks up to 2 months.
Sunu Gongpo, know your local United States state representative, governor, senators, and state capital since these questions may come up for your 2024 civics test. This will depend on the USCIS field office you will be assigned to go to for your U.S. citizenship interview and tests because if they have so many applicants there, then you might wait a little bit longer. But if they have enough USCIS officers to interview immigrant applicants, you will not wait that long, especially since they just used your old fingerprints for the background check. Most of the time, as we receive messages from applicants that their old fingerprints were used, the wait is really short, so it's better that you study well for your interview and exams.
