- I finally get to check out my first night market in Thailand. Jodd Fairs is an amazing merchandise and street food market in Bangkok. Join me for a walk around as well as sampling an assortment of local street food. I even try street sushi. The Bangkok night market scene is epic and I loved the vibe at Jodd Fair.
This market has everything from amazing street food, to clothes, to dog treats, live music and is just a super hip vibe. Let's explore this amazing Thailand night market and eat all sorts of delicious street food.
I recently moved to Thailand and am begining to roam the country while documenting my travels here on RUclips. Join me for my assorted adventures in the many different regions of Thailand.

“Hello!” That little voice!! Awww…. 👼🏻👼🏻🥰
The little video like this can be relaxing and informative. Love it.
Yeah, that little kid was so cute!
Great Show, Making me Jealous , Can't wait to get back to Thailand ....July is just around the corner ....
Thanks for your support! Things will be much more open by the time you get here.
This place is in my neighborhood. It used to be an empty space before and people use it for jogging and skating. Now it becomes a night market. Good thing that the price here is vary from cheap to expensive, gives us many choices for dinner. Love this place.
Yes it is a great place. I’m very happy that I found it.
I lived like a 20 minute walk away from this market for a couple of months around Christmas, and it was a lifesaver when I didn't really know what I wanted to eat! So much good stuff!
Really enjoyed the area! Thank you for bringing me back :)
It is a really really cool market! I’m glad I could bring back some good memories for you.
Enjoy your content a lot, and good choices of food and prices
Thanks! I’m glad you have enjoyed my contacts. Yes there were some delicious food.
I love watching you try different foods!
I’m happy to hear that, cause I love trying different stuff!
Thanks a lot for the wonderful Video and the beautiful impressions and your sympathetic really good comments.
I enjoyed it very much and I love the Thai Markets and the Thai Street Food.
I know Bangkok only a little bit and mostly from the German Embassy, the Thailand office and Bang Rak from the Marriage.
So it’s nice to see about Bangkok and I enjoy it really.
Yeah Thailand it’s great.
I’m glad you enjoyed this video Manfred. Thanks for your support, there is more to come soon. Danke!
Cool looking market! Will definitely check this one out when I’m there. Thanks again Serg another well put together video!
This is a great market! I look forward to meeting you Sam.
I'm excited to watch this! So much delicious foods. Look nice. Enjoy exploring!
Glad you enjoyed it. I definitely enjoyed eating all of that!
Color me impressed with your comfort and ease on using those chopsticks. You won't go hungry nor have to eat with your hands! That marketplace had such a great vibe. Noticed the ice cream stand. The instant ice cream technique where it's made 'fresh' before your eyes' may have it's origins at this very Marketplace. This ice cream making idea made it all the way to the other side of the world to us at a place called Icicles. Thailand has totally influenced the world for the better and we still have so much more to learn from Thailand! It's sooooo yummy! If this is just your appetizer video then I can't wait for the main course!👍
It’s an amazing place. I’m so happy you enjoyed it. You’d love it here. We’d have a great time together.
u make me miss Bangkok ,I was last there in 2014 and I really miss Thailand
I know how you feel. My last time here was 2012. It’s never too late to come back!
thank u Serg
Really fun video, awesome. Looks like a very nice market with a great view of the sky scrapers all around.
I’ve been to several night market since going to this one, and this one is still my favorite just because of the great vibe. I’m very happy to know that you enjoy by video. I should have a new one out tomorrow
I enjoy each and every one of your VLOG. I was born there but moved to US over 30 years ago. I plan to go there sometimes soon and will definitely go to this night market. Thank you for your great work!
I’m really happy to hear that you’re enjoying my videos. It’s nice to know that it reminds you a little bit of home.
I don't understand, but I love watching your videos. I'm always looking forward to your new videos. You start to be able to speak Thai when buying food and you are very good at it.😊👍🏻
Thank you very much, I am slowly learning some Thai. Hopefully you’ll be able to learn some English as well.
I enjoy seeing you take me exploring my country thru your vlog ^^
I’m very happy to hear that!
I'm going to Bangkok soon and this video really helped me plan for my trip! Thanks for documenting your trip :)
I’m glad you enjoyed it. There’s many other night markets that are probably a lot more “authentic”. This one just has a very cool hip vibe.
Thank you for share this video...nice night market..
I really like the night markets here.
Enjoy your content!.
Waiting for the next.
Thank you for your support.

Nice looking night market, I’ll definitely have to check it out next time I’m there.
I’ve checked out a few other night markets after I made this video, but this one is still my favorite. Just has a really great vibe.
I enjoyed your channel especially about Thai foods
I’m happy to hear that. I really enjoy the local food, so they’ll be more videos including food. Stay tuned b
Wow nice new market

I love your video can’t wait for new one
I’m happy to hear that you liked it! I should have a new one out in a couple of days
I have been following since I took the train in America. Travel in Thailand. Delicious food and not expensive. Be careful of fat. Thais like to smile.
Thank you so very much for your support. Yes I need to exercise to keep all this weight off.
Love how you always tell the prices!
I think it’s just interesting to know what things cost in other countries. Every time I watch a video of somebody buying something or eating something in another place I’m curious as to how much it costs. I’ve got another video coming out in less than 12 hours.
Serg, I just found your content. I really enjoy the videos. We are coming back to Thai on Saturday for the first time since the "situation" around the world. Going to Hua Hin, Ratchaburi then up to Petchabun. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for your support. I hope you have a wonderful time in Thailand.
When we saw you get the sushi oout side, me and my wife both went "Don't do it Serg" I had an encounter with some sushi from one of those stands that was nearly life changing.
Yah, I don’t think I’ll ever do that again. I got lucky this time.
yeah, raw fish, no refrigeration and tropical heat don't mix, I would not touch it
I know I know. I just had to try it once. It didn’t bother me one bit. Nothing I ate that night bothered by stomach at all. But I have had stomach issues a few times here.
Hi Serg, great video. I've never been here but I will check it out on my next trip to the land of smiles. Thank you for sharing. Ozzy
It’s just a good large super market that has pretty much everything you would need. Take care!
Good thing you are doing plenty of walking....look at all that food. One of the many pleasures of Thailand
Yes I have been doing lots of walking every day. It’s really a must to burn off all this amazing food. 555
Used to go to the o.g. Rot Fai market. Back in town in a couple of weeks so looking forward to checking out some of the places you're shoving us
Yes, definitely go check this market out. It’s definitely a good one.
Like your matter of fact attitude, yet with some humourous 😀 with it. Another enjoyable vlog 🙏
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I recorded something today that I will upload tomorrow. I’m not sure how that one’s going to go over. Lol
Grilled Veggie you had is called Lady Finger or Okra. Thanks for the video.
Ah yes, okra. Very tasty. Thanks for your support!
I like orange juice too😊
My fave!
After watching the video, it's a lot of fun. Everything looks delicious. I haven't been yet. I live in the south of Thailand
I will be coming to the south of Thailand sometime soon. I’m looking forward to exploring other areas.
It's look so lively and clean market.👍 Thank for this sharing.🙏🏻
Yes! It is a very nice and clean market. Definitely one of my favorites.
@04:30 is grilled roselle.
Welcome to Thailand.
Ah thank you!
Hello Thailand, welcome to travel and have fun and eat well 🤝🙏🍾🍻
Thank you for the warm welcome.
Just went there, a nice place to chill!
Definitely, it’s a great night market.
The foods looks yummy. ชอบลูกชิ้นปิ้ง😊
It was absolutely delicious. I’m really thankful I didn’t get sick from the street sushi. Lol
@@LifewithSerg When I was in my country I loved all street foods Chicken grilled on the stick and sticky rice also papaya salad ( somtum) the dipping sauce I need super Thai hot. I can’t wait go back to Thailand in Dec. Thank you for making the wonderful VDO. Thailand’s always amazing place 🥰
Good to see you and l love the place you are visiting. It reminds me of my good old days. Home sick already 🫢
I’m happy to be able to share these moments with you Don. Bringing back good memories to people makes me very happy.
@@LifewithSerg surly you did but that’s exactly life… such exploring, experiencing, embarking & embracing which makes life is worth living. Always stay humbled and be grateful in whichever ways . I think you embody that. 👍🤟🙏🙂
The night market looks incredible, so many sights, sounds and betting it smells great too! Just wondering if tipping is customary in Thailand? Either with tip jars at the food stands or for sit down dining as well? Or is it frowned upon in Thailand?
Yes Jodd Fairs is a wonderful night market. I’ve been to several of them here for that is still my favorite. Most of the restaurants will add a 10% service charge to the bill, so that’s your tip. Tipping is not really a thing here, but like anywhere else if you really like the food or service it is of course appreciated.
Going to be there soon in a couple of weeks first time so you gave me a bunch of good info...and the grill veggi is ladyfinger we do have that in mauritius as well my country...very good vlog dude thanks you
Yeah it was okra, kind of like I suspected. I’m glad my videos have been helpful for you. I hope you enjoy your time here in Thailand!
Have fun
Always!
The green veg is okra or กระเจี๊ยบเขียว
Aha. That’s what I thought. Very delicious! Thanks!
Thailand food best of the world Thank you so much🥰😍🇹🇭
It’s very delicious. Thank you for your support
Yes..its okra (lady finger).... its more green than the normal okra..depends on climate i think.. u should try the hanwoo beef in korean town(sukhumvit) n the pork ribs at talad rod fai train market.. dont hurry u have plenty of time😀
Yeah, I’ve already been to Koreatown. Some cool places there.
Yummy everything 😍😍😍
Oh yes, everything was delicious!
It's called "Kra Jeab" or Okra, Lady's finger, Gombo, Gumbo, Bendee, Quimbamto.
Yes, thanks for confirming I was correct.
Enjoy your content and enjoy seeing you eat. That made me hungry !! ^^" Hope you love living in Bangkok : )
I absolutely enjoy living here! I just finished filming a video which will have a little bit of food Contant in it as well. Should be out tomorrow evening. Thank you for your support.
You always welcome here and looking forward to your new video : )
Orange juice look delicious 😋
It was absolutely delicious. Not too sweet, just right.

😊🙏
Hi. I thought the train night market was still open last month. Anyway, ended up in Jodd Fairs. Cool vid. Cheers.
I could be totally wrong, but I was told this replaced the train night market. I’ve only been in Thailand for one month, so be careful taking any advice from me. 🤣😜 Lol
@@LifewithSerg Lol. we couldn't find it even though we got off on the other side. Funny enough no one knew, even though my lady was asking. So a taxi took us one mrt stop before and there was jodds. I think you are right and it is not there at the moment otherwise you would have sighted the crowded walkup.
Yehh thks Serg again for good clip... Jodd Fair market is near Rama9 MRT. Good area with many malls&residences on both sides of the main Rachada road. If you take MRT up north to Thailand Cultural Center or to Lat Prao area and Chatuchak Park area (towards new Bang Sue Grand station and famous Chatuchak weekend market), you will also love the areas... Hope you have another EP. on Chatuchak Market. I miss going there, they have everythings! (^_^) Also the area is getting more up-market& trendy too. Check them out, man! Good content too for your "lost in BKK" theme 555 (sorry, it pronounces "ha ha ha" in Thai). Cheers!
Yes definitely plan on going to Chatuchak. I was there 10 years ago so I’m sure it will be almost like going for the first time again. Lots or explore!
@@LifewithSerg Cool Serg... Not sure if the same after COVID... It was like 15 years for me having not been back there. I love the 80's+90's toys area, Cloths and Home decor stuffs. Looking forward to your clip. Always love seeing your advanture in BKK here anyway... thks sir!... (^_^)
btw the beef skewer with tomatoes and pineapples is what thai people back in the older days thought was american bbq lol
Ha ha. It’s still super delicious!
Awesome with you
I’m glad you enjoyed it. More to come soon
You made me hungry Sir
I made myself hungry when I was editing the video. Lol
I'm watching a lot of vids about Thailand. Will visit on July 22. I will add this one on my bucket list. Can you recommend a coffee shop?
Sorry but I don’t drink coffee, so I can’t help you there.
I have to write down the heavier i am before i go to Thailand 😀 thanks again for sharing your nice video.
Glad you enjoyed!
Nice one. Hua Khwang is a good night market too I hear ..
There’s so many great ones. I’m hoping to check out as many as possible.
@@LifewithSerg yes I be visiting some with my friend when I visit. Chatuchak is good too I’m told..
Yes, that is a humongous market. I haven’t been to it in 10 years. I still need to go back.
I will get there one day very interesting.
It is a really cool place.
If you ever get to Taiwan, you would love the night markets, probably the best I been too in my travels
Oh good to know. I definitely plan to visit some other countries in 2023. I think I’m gonna spend the rest of this year exploring Thailand.
Yummy yummy 😋
Oh yes, everything was delicious!
Yummy!!! 😋👍👍👍
Oh yes, it was quite delicious!

Wow
It’s a good night market, but I think there are better ones here in Bangkok.
@@LifewithSerg yes a lot of night markets in Bangkok 🤔 If you ever go to “Train night market Srinakarin “ you can up the Bts On-much
That's good grub buddy
That’s a good little market. I took a chance, in my mind, eating the street sushi. I didn’t have any issues with it, but I’ve decided that I will not tempt fate again with street sushi. Lol
Enjoyed eating ^___^
Me too.. 😋
I'm funny with you in your clip and like to look you so happy♡..from Bangkok,Thailand
Thank you so very much for your support. I really do appreciate it.
The first thing you eat is BBQ. Maa Laa is a Chinese herb, Maa means Numb and Laa means Spicy. It's great to eat with these drinks. liquor or beer And it should be the last thing to eat. Because of this type of chili, it will make the tongue numb and perceive the taste of food less.😁😁🙏🙏
Oh interesting, thank you for that information.
Nice 👍
Thank you, happy you like.
Thank you for letting us know the prices, the juice 🥤 seems yummy and healthy, you can’t pay that price at Jamba Juice , you probably know that . The prices of foods are really too much in California especially Los Angels. I paid $2.50 for 1 Thai pork skewer at Sunday Thai Temple street food and 2/3 of the size yo are eating. I am jealous.
Oh yes, I remember the prices in California all too well. Even the year I spent in Texas before I moved out here, the food prices had soared quite a bit. The fruit and vegetables here are really outstanding.
just a word of caution, if you wanna eat salmon raw make sure it's atlantic salmon as pacific ones contains alot of parasites XD but i really enjoyed your video and the vibe ur givin! keep up the good work! subscribed!!
I love sushi, but that was my first and last time trying street sushi. I just don’t trust raw fish sitting out in this heat.
nice vlog

next time show us some of thai salad [papaya salad with peanuts and tamarind sauce]
I wanted to try some new things at this market. But that is definitely one of my most favorite dishes.
that vegetable is กระเจี๊ยบเขียว (Kra-Jeab-Keaw) or 'okra' in English.
Thank you very much, so I was correct.
Looks awesome. What time does the market open?
It is open every day from 11 AM to midnight. But my understanding is that, because of the heat, most people go late in the afternoon.
@@LifewithSerg thank you
Oh, the vendors spoke English! Is everywhere in Thailand is like that?
Not everywhere, this is a big tourist market. I actually avoid it at all costs. I prefer other markets where there are less tourists.
