Jawa looks better than any RE motorcycle. The design is so cleaned up, the branding is classy, there's no clutter, and no "gaps" in the engine box like RE bikes (full of gaps), all the curves, lines and silhouettes flow and marry together so well. Color choices look expensive, especially the copper. Absolutely beautiful design. It looks mean, muscular, bratty, sexy. I ride a Honda Rebel 500 abroad, and look wise this is the closest thing to a Rebel. I think instead of a bench seat, if they had a oyster seat + separate passenger seat it would look more like a bit more like a modern cruiser / Honda Rebel - regardless it looks comfortable and will allow us taller riders to sit further back. There's just a few improvements of the 42 Bobber this bike really needs: USB charging ports, LED head lamp / brake light / indicators, centered dash, tank grip pads, and a fuel tank lid with a hinge opening (like the Rebel) rather than one that comes off. No reason for those Bobber mods to be exclusive to Bobber, as they're completely different bike categories. In future I'd like to see this bike come as a 650cc to complete with meteor / shotgun with better hp & torque... I'm moving to India for good, so going from 500cc, 45.9 hp, 43.3 torque of the rebel is a downgrade... but I'll learn to be happy with it until the day Jawa makes higher performance cruisers. :) Design wise RE does excessive branding, and it can look quite tacky to me... I also don't like many of their colors / paint jobs. Jawa absolutely wins look wise! Great Review!

I have lived my most of college life with yezdis and jawas as my most favourite bikes, but am not sure why still i cant decipher the reason for wanting to buy this new jawa 42 or perak. First of all the firing of engine is not compatiable with its bulk. Would have been better if they had worked upon on distinctive firing sound instead of present sneezing sort of firing. Second the rusting issues and overheating of engine is major concern. Speed and torque is uncompromised and it is best but the contours of bike are not at all appealing and if the dirt accumulates on these jawa bikes they look pretty old except the chrome tank models look good though.

As i am a short height guy , i have option of Bajaj avenger, meteor 350 & Jawa 42. Avenger i dont like, Meteor is very common & bulky, i think jawa 42 is best option.

Mera 2.1 hai jawa. Coil and ecu ka problem aajata hai mere me. Kai bar off hua road pe trolley me dalna pada h.... Awaz bhot aata h engine se...galat samaye pe leliya maine...kya kru.
