Reactions to protester arrests on Virginia Tech campus

A few dozen students were back outside the Graduate Life Center at Virginia Tech on Monday, April 29. Groups sat across from the lawn where 82 people, most of them students, were arrested Sunday night. Police tape still hangs in front of the green space.

Hi, I’m the student from the video. I want to emphasize that the police are not our enemy and the protest organizers had a good relationship with police, both before and after, they were doing their job and our criticisms were directed at the University President who runs the VT Police force. VTPD performed their duties relatively professionally on Sunday night compared to a lot of other colleges.
