His acting in Dahmer was brilliant. His performance was unbelievable, he really got me in. Such an underrated actor.

Everybody should watch "The Visitor" (2008), which gave him his first leading role and his first Oscar nod. Great movie.
In that year, he was competing against Brad Pitt in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, Frank Langella in "Frost / Nixon” and Mickey Rourke in “The Wrestler”. All of them were defeated by Sean Penn in "Milk”
Truly one of the most dependable actors working today. And between him, Plummer, Dafoe, Harrelson and Rockwell, I'm honestly torn between who I want to see win.

I can’t believe he didn’t mention Dead John with Channing Tatum. I immediately noticed him in Dahmer from that, another role as a father but on two completely different spectrums. This guy has such range and is so underrated!

He's really good and I think it's one of the best role he got so far in Netflix's Dahmer, playing as Lionel Dahmer. Also I kind of recognized him too from the movie "Let Me In" he's the killer guy who hunted and drained blood from his victims for his vampire companion-childhood-lover played by Chloe Moretz, he's really good in there too.
He's great in The man who wasn't there.
