The natives before Columbus called El Salvador.."Cuzcatlán" which roughly means "land of precious things" or "land of treasures". Very small in area but so unique. And in modern times travelers started calling El Salvador "the country of the smile"...."el país de la sonrisa". Because of the generosity and warmth of the people.

Great video Dan. And welcome to El Salvador where you can be pleasantly surprised with what the country has to offer. Unlike many people who only give El Salvador bad press, you really describe a good part of the country. Once you are there, you can see that it is not as bad as the notoriety.
