Great idea! You also might be able to get the milk crates from a grocery store, restaurant, hospital, or other care facility. My uncle did that. Sometimes, the businesses have to send them back, but not always. Worth checking.

Hey girl, this is genius! How (if at all) did you attach the wooden shelving on top to the milk crates??? Because knowing me I would bump the think and that wooden shelf would flip over 😂

I made a huge one of these for my boys room years ago. But I just lined each Shelf with foam core and left them open. It was great for their stuff. They were older, so they didn't climb on them.

Don't forget the free stuff you can find on streets giving away stuff. There have been wonderful chairs (not stuffed), and bookshelves I have found, in addition to a great brass bed frame. Garage sales are interesting looks into Americana and some nice pots with lids and china sets, spoons, lamps, rugs all can be discovered.

A good way to attach the wood to the top of the crates would be to use L-Brackets and screws. First lay the wood down where you'd like it to be. then slide the L- brackets in between the top and the crates sections. Then mark the back end of the bracket against the wood. Flip over the wood onto a stable surface and screw the brackets down . With the brackets on ,Now reset the top in place, and begin drilling the bottom end of the bracket into thecrate. and your done.If you'd like you can paint the L- bracket to match the crate to make it less noticeable.

When I do crafts such as this. I use E600 & zip ties. The E600 just helps it be more sturdy. Try it out the next time u do something like this. Now it does take awhile to dry but it works great. That shit isn't moving for nothing lol

thank you for the video, I am doing a project myself and I'm looking for sturdier than than the Dollar Tree ones. I have purchased several and they are all bent out of shape now. Could you please send me the link for the Amazon ones that you purchased?
