When gluing the 5th pink crate, if you don't have a clamp, just turn the tower upside down until it is dry. you don't have to work against gravity. Suzie Stephenson
This has got to be the most ADORABLE organizer! My 2 daughters currently share a small room so there isn't any room for something like this but if we ever move and they have their own rooms, I will definitely be making each of them one of these!
I just finished making this, following your instructions.. I did mine for my craft supplies on my work table, the things I use for almost every craft. but instead of the glass for the lining of the boxes, I used vinyl place mats, I could get two liners from each place mat, plus was able to make a long liner for the top of the shelves. I would add a couple of pictures.. but no way I can.. but thank you.. this was very easy... oh.. and the other thing I did a little different was I did zip tie each of the crates together as the glue dried. and then removed the zip ties when it was finished gluing.
I love your idea about the vinyl place mats instead of glass, althought I love the glass idea, i think there is a potential safety hazard there...I have cut my hands/fingers on those glass inserts in the picture frames before. not fun. But love her idea, it is ver funtional!
This is AMAZING!!! The possibilities! This can work for a VARIETY of hobbies!!!! Especially because of the holes in the crates. Dowels can be added to create "mini shelves", or simply hang things like jewelry, keys, small tools, this is just Amazing! It can be reinforced in many ways and even more crate can be added to the side. I LOVE THIS KELLY!!!!!
This just gave me a repurpose idea for a bunch of different style and color crates around my house that are just sitting around. Thanks for the inspiration
Great idea! For the push lights, I recommend getting those magnet buttons and using them. Glue one to the "ceiling" and one to the light. That way, when the lights burn out, they are easily replaced.
And slide long dowels through the underside of the top 4 baskets... so that left and right towers can support the centre 2! Or they will sag! Combine your idea and mine and it's a win win all round!!! 😁
Love it, will be doing one for my granddaughter. Shes only five but very smart and loves her books, head bands and clips etc etc. Thanks for the ideas.
The things I discover because my back does not want me to move. I am so excited to try this. My daughter and I have down sized and making one for her art supplies and one for my sewing. Oh if excitement could be put into words... Thank you for sharing
Love this! I think it’s my fav and so many different options! I’m gonna use it for my sewing area. Another option would be to cover the inside back of the crates the same way you did the other part w the cardboard and fabric. Maybe the fabric could be different but coordinating! Great video!
I have been trying forever to think of an idea for not just my room but for my daughter too..thanks to your video I FINALLY found the perfect thing! Thank you so much I can't wait to try this!
That's an awesome idea... hope it turned out really great! I would love to know how it worked out for you. Did you reinforce the crates somehow so that they stayed together and there wasn't any sagging??? I saw where another crafter used the DT cutting mats to line each crate, that would save on some of the weight too! Hopefully you see my comment and let me know how it all turned out!!! Thanks, MKramer from PA
adorb!! the lights really bring it home. the only thing I would add is bottom piece to make it look finished - and add strength. I just love the way you take mished matched pieces and make them look so cute in the end.
Genius! I absolutely love how you put this together and with such a great price! Great job, and I shared this on my FB page because it is definitely noteworthy. Also, I am going to stack a few vertically, put on little wheels and use it to store my paper bits in my craft room. Those drawer units are pricey and, they are big. These are just small enough to work and will fit in my space perfectly!
What a beautiful idea in so handy you did an awesome job I love this so much I think I'll be making one for my craft room thank you my dear friend for sharing have a great day God bless you
Wow! I can’t wait to make this. I moved into a small apartment and making this with bigger crates will really increase my storage. Thank you for sharing.
Tayy Bee I'm in the process of making different types of organization for my craft supplies. This is awesome! Will definitely be making one....or three!
I just bought those crates and making something similar for my craft desk.. Love this idea, I think I shall borrow your ideas along with mine. Thank you Kelly for all your inspirations.
I am so impressed with your imagination and talent, you are great at explaining each process. I truly have enjoyed watching your video. Thanks for sharing
I wanted a floor place to put my daughter a diy vanity where I have curtains hanging for an old book-nook. Shes young and doesn't need anything fancy so I'm SUPER excited about this!!!!! Thanks so much for the video. 😍
i ike the project but I dont know about that E6000 . Long term use is not recommended warning on the back of tube can cause CANCER, just like alot of other stuff/products. Daily crafters should find another safe, non toxic alternative for e6000, life is priceless n too precious to take risks that can be prevented in first place.
What a fabulous idea!! It is absolutely PERFECT for girls college dorms AND any young lady's desk!! You are SSSOOO inventive hirl...I'm so impressed!!! TFS!!!
Such a great idea! You do such great work Kelly! As always thank you for sharing your creativity and talent! Stay safe, healthy and positive! GOD bless you and your family! I hope all of y'all are doing well! 🙏❤🇺🇸🌻
Brilliant idea with the crates, I am doing this for my craft area because it's so much better than the fake wood pigeon holes, these plastic crates will last for ever. I would like metal crates but that's expensive but your idea is within budget. I would add cardboard boxes covered in matching material for some of my craft tools to go onto the shelves. Also make it much larger. I hope I can get these boxes on Amazon. They would make great shoe storage in the hallway too. Thank you for sharing this.
Very impressed. You did a wonderful job, and very thoughtful. I love when a crafter goes the extra mile to make their craft look professional. Love it!!
did you use gorilla glue sticks for the top board and lights? They look like they are sagging a little, personally I would have E6000 glue for the lights and top board, clamping it till it dried....just a thought here
Your vanity super rock! I'm going to make your project sometime next month. My daughter wants the fabric to match her throw pillows on her dormroom bed! This is going to be a FUN project. Thank you so much for sharing! :-D
Love this! I am using larger crates horizontally and placing a hidden wooden shelf under the bottom one for support. I will be hanging it in a tight space in my bathroom for towel storage. Thanx for the xtra ideas! Love and prayers to you and your family. 🤗🤗🤗
That desk/make up organizer is so pretty. And it stands along. I'm going to make it to put condiments in for my kitchen. I'm so glad I found you. You are so talented. I love it. 👍🙂
I use to do stuff but now that I'm older I don't do hardly anything, my body parts hurt and now I see why people don't want to turn 30 even though I'm way past that. Now I'm too lazy.
Hi. I agree about soy and corn, they should not be eaten by humans. Corn can not be digested properly and soy disrupts our endocrine system causing inflammation. I don't miss either one. Then get your craft ON girl !! Life is too short.
I can just imagine a group of college girls getting together to create their own shelf unit!! How adorable!!
How blessed your friends daughter must be to have you. Wonderful idea and PERFECT for a college dorm!

Great idea with the plastic rather than glass
I love your idea of using the vinyl place mats & zip ties! That way you can rearrange the baskets later if you need to.
Waaaawo
Very Clever/ Cute and Useful!! A+ rating for you. Thanks
I love your idea about the vinyl place mats instead of glass, althought I love the glass idea, i think there is a potential safety hazard there...I have cut my hands/fingers on those glass inserts in the picture frames before. not fun. But love her idea, it is ver funtional!
Wow! I will be building one of these for my sterile desk at work. In a male dominated workplace I can make my own mark. Thanks for all that you do!💝
That is so cool! These could be painted and stacked around a bed like a waterbed headboard.
How are you Sheri 😊
I am so glad to see you doing this one since I have been wanting to make it and have your creativity on it 💖
How are you doing Cheryl 😊

She has some awesome stuff, but she talks to much
This just gave me a repurpose idea for a bunch of different style and color crates around my house that are just sitting around. Thanks for the inspiration
I can use this to make a reading nook for my daughter. I can add curtains and a couple pillows.
Ooooooooo, cuuuute! 😱💖👏🙌🙌🙌😺
I would love to see what you come up with with that idea tag me when you create that
You can put two with a roof and make a little reading fort. It would be so darling for a small kid!
Great idea! For the push lights, I recommend getting those magnet buttons and using them. Glue one to the "ceiling" and one to the light. That way, when the lights burn out, they are easily replaced.
You could run dowels thru the hoes of crates to hang things on. Handy for craft ribbon, etc.
Pj2222 Mcneely YESSS!!!
And slide long dowels through the underside of the top 4 baskets... so that left and right towers can support the centre 2! Or they will sag! Combine your idea and mine and it's a win win all round!!! 😁
Great ideas guys!
Lol you meant to type holes. Wow vocabulary in our phone is very telling. 😛
Oooh yeah I like that idea!
Love it, will be doing one for my granddaughter. Shes only five but very smart and loves her books, head bands and clips etc etc. Thanks for the ideas.
This is really great!! you could also use some fabric bins in the crates to coordinate with your decor!!
The things I discover because my back does not want me to move. I am so excited to try this. My daughter and I have down sized and making one for her art supplies and one for my sewing. Oh if

I absolutely love this idea. So nice for a limited space
Love it. I’m going to try this around my daughters bed as a headboard with the big crates and her vanity with the mini. Great idea.
That's an awesome idea... hope it turned out really great! I would love to know how it worked out for you. I agree. Great idea.
This is soooooo nice, kelly!
Lori you are looking so beautiful 😊
Plexi glass would be good too or acrylic sheets and then you wouldn't have risk of breaking glass. Love this project. Thx.
Incredibly creative and frugal! Thank you for sharing.

Take small binder clips to clip the glass to each cubbie, them remove the handles. That will keep the glass from sliding out if it gets jarred.
Fantastic idea!!!
Wow! I can’t wait to make this. I moved into a small apartment and making this with bigger crates will really increase my storage. Thank you for sharing.
Two words. Craft Room! Excellent diy
This would be a GREAT idea for a craft room and make it even bigger, lol!!!!
Tayy Bee I'm in the process of making different types of organization for my craft supplies. This is awesome! Will definitely be making one....or three!
Sherri Hopkins Ikr this is perfect timing I'll definitely be making a couple myself
Kelly Barlow Creations hmm maybe could even make it double sided depending on your craft setup!

This is so stinkin' cute. I'm going to make one for my tall boy dresser to use as a display for candles and family pics.
this is so cute but i dont think hot glue will keep that mirror up to long, but so so cute.
did you use gorilla glue sticks for the top board and lights? They look like they are sagging a little, personally I would have E6000 glue for the lights and top board, clamping it till it dried....just a thought here
I noticed it was sagging a bit also. Maybe the board needed more glue.
Omg this is soooooo cute. This is a first time watching your videos and I will be watching forever now. Thank you so much!!!!

I just subbed. This is so cool! I love the idea of using crates to organize! :D
Hello and Welcome to my Channel! :-)
Oh wow! Would have never thought of this! Brilliant idea especially the glass in the cubbys!
I love everything about this except the glass with raw edges exposed. Trying to figure out a way around that.
notebookluvr may be clear vinyl avaible at walmart fabric section.
I was wondering if just a piece of clear taped wrapped around the edge would work?
Put some hot glue around the raw edges.
@@naomiholliday3863 The clear vinyl is a great idea. You could wrap it around the fabric and cardboard, and then glue it on neatly underneath.
That is so cute!
Janice you are looking so great 😊
i like this! !! my first time seeing your video! ! new subscriber here!
Thank you so much and Welcome to my channel :-)
FANTASTICALLY ADORABLE!!!
I use to do stuff but now that I'm older I don't do hardly anything, my body parts hurt and now I see why people don't want to turn 30 even though I'm way past that. Now I'm too lazy.
Stop eating all corn and soy. Read all ingredients for hidden corn and soy additions. You will be out of pain within two weeks.
I’ll have start paying attention to corn and soy additives 🤦♀️
Hi. I agree about soy and corn, they should not be eaten by humans. Corn can not be digested properly and soy disrupts our endocrine system causing inflammation. I don't miss either one. Then get your craft ON girl !! Life is too short.
Don't give up...how about using an apprentice to follow your amazing guidance and assist you with sharing your creations with the rest of the world. 😉
That is so cute and would travel home for summer easily as packing boxes. Thanks Kelly!
Omgosh your amazingly talented. I LOVE YOUR STUFF!! AND YOUR STINKIN CUTE FAMILY💟💖
Sharon Roe awh thank you 😊
looking for a hanging jewelry holder that has earrings and rings area and hanging necklace in another side. Can you come up with something for that?

:-)
