I thought that seeds had all the nutrients that they need within them until they get to a certain size and are planted on x thank you for a lovely video x much love and God Bless from the UK xx
Hi @susiwakeman4271. Thank you for your comment. You are correct. seeds have all nutrients and energy they need to sprout out of their shell. However, once they have sprouted, they need nutrients to grow up. The growing process of microgreens is about 2 weeks, during which they need to be fed in order to grow since all of them are competing for space and minerals in the water. A few seeds perhaps could make it to 4 inches tall but not hundreds of seeds, that is why they need nutrients in the water to grow. This is a very fascinating process and we love it when we get comments like yours so we can share what we know. Thank you for watching!
Thank you for your question. We've tried OceanSolution 2-0-3 - Plant Food and Organic Liquid Seaweed and Kelp Fertilizer Supplement by Bloom City. Both of them have worked well with our microgreens. Let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the question. We got the green containers online - Amazon. We looked under Seed Sprouter Trays- Soil-Free Cultivation Germination Tray, BPA-Free Nursery Tray. There are other places online that sell them but Amazon had them 50% off when we bought them so we got them there. Good luck!
