Several cultures independently came up with zero (even before India), but Indian culture was the first to use it as a number with value, and use it in mathematical operations. And not just as a null placeholder.
Aryanhatta in 5th century was the first to use it as a placeholder in India.
Then Bramhagupta in 7th century was the first to use it as a number and describe mathematical operations on it.
Inventing something or a logical idea or even establishing a mighty civilization doesn't turn its creators into Gods. It's already understood that a colossal interminable will is driving both mind and matter in the forward direction of history as humans see it. Nations and peoples do their part and celebrate it through civilization and culture, leaving their footprints for mankind to achieve greater and better levels of existence.
On the other hand, look at the Zionazis of Israel for example, they use the narratives of their Patriarch prophets, apostles, philosophers and scientists as a proof of their superior origins but when you look at their actions for establishing their historical narratives into a reality at the expense of world peace and global life systems, you understand the essence of their terminal retardation which their experience and narratives of victimhood have inculcated in them.
