    I think that this is way worse than what happened to JaRule. 50 basically bullied him and the entire Murder Inc roster. Kendrick on the other hand pointed out a real issue with Drake’s character, and basically drew attention to a lot of things that people either didn’t know or chose to turn a blind eye to for whatever reason. He put a spotlight on those things in 4 songs, dang near back to back to back to back, making it so hard to run away from the narrative, and Drake just basically gave up. JaRule has never given up. That’s one thing we have to give him.

    Everyone has tbh, & this is from the HUGEST Kendrick Lamar fan/former Southern Rapper, Drake is bigger than Ja Rule ever was at this point. Don't get me wrong, Rule at that time WAS huge but in comparison to Drake, the time frame of his run was mediocre, and so it wasn't too tough for 50 Cent to demolish of Ja Rule's remaining riegn in Hip Hop. Drake has literally been crowned ARTIST OF THE DECADE. No one, not even K-Dot, could yake that from him, with that said Drake will continue to be able to remain relevant for years to come but the weight/magnitude of that relevancy IS in question because Kendrick has shunned the brightest lights on Drake's character, methods, and motives in music to where the audience now has to view him in a way to where he HAS to reinvent himself and hit the drawing board of his future outputs in a more realistic way. Meaning he has to cater to his core following, the women, casual rap fans, and the lean more to his pop/RnB side. Drake can survive but only if he shy away from the HARD NIGGA persona that Kendrick just expose of.

      It sounds like you're comparing Apples to Oranges. The one thing Drake doesn't have that Kendrick has that cannot be taken away is a Pulitzer Prize for his artistry, exceptional penmanship, and lyrical ability to speak intelligently. Say what you want, but this is another satisfying racial moment-and we Cali folks are clear about it.

    • @isiahsmith8128
      @isiahsmith8128 3 месяца назад

      Satisfying racial moment? Isn't Drake Black lmao? And being awarded a Pulitzer for rap by a committee of old white guys is mainstream as it gets 😂. I can name 10 rappers who should of been got one if it was based on actual lyricism. That's just pandering to black folks. Drake a be ok. If anything this forces him to reinvent himself, cuz he was getting a little stale. I've always been more of a Kendrick fan, but I hate seeing this Drake hate, cuz it's looking more n more like black people on that good ol crabs in a barrel bs smh

      The difference is technology. For those that had to go the extra mile to promote their music. The only thing people need to do nowadays is jump on social media. Nah this made my respect for both Drake and Kendrick as artist sky rocket. If anything this makes me look at Cole different for all of them bragging lyrics he’s been talking about for years now he’s the best and he don’t fear no rappers and blah blah blah. He folded in my opinion and he’ll never be more respected as a hip hop artist more than Drake in my eyes.
    And miss me with that “Cole did the smart move” and “Cole is the bigger man for acknowledging he’s in over his head” bs. Hip hop is a sport and if you claim to be the best you can’t apologize on stage at your own festival for competing without taking hits to your legacy.

      You can't talk bout hip-hop and use that against Cole then praise Drake who's not even a rapper (he's a popstar). He hasn't been an actual rapper in a long time. Cole did the mature thing and his spiritual well-being was more important than hip-hop.

    • @Yourlocalfbiagentt
      @Yourlocalfbiagentt 3 месяца назад +2

      @@rahbeeuh you literally just proved my point and it makes cole look worse as a rapper because a pop star got in the ring and threw punches and the rapper cole threw a jab and then hid his hands and apologized. If Cole didn’t apologize on stage and just never responded to like that by dropping 7 minute drill then you’d have a point. The pop star proved that he’s more in tuned with the competitive side of hip hop then the actual rapper J cole. All that spiritual well being stuff is nice and all but when it’s time to prove who’s the best rapper of a generation you have 2 options. You either compete and put your best foot forward like Drake did and live with the results or you take the cole route and have people like me criticize your legacy AS A RAPPER for a weak and unnecessary move.

    Dawg no way. If you listen to Family Matters Drake won the beef. Kendrick pulled a Drake and won the dance show. The Atlanta verse was hard but Drake said I get it you tryna be bishop in juice ended it for me 🫡
