Btw, another heavy duty protein treatment by a black owned company is Dudley's DRC28. It's pretty pricey from online retailers but they'll sell it directly to professionals for $35 if you can send them a pic of your licence. It lasts a very long time & doesn't get hard like aphogee either but using gloves is instructed. You can scroll through forums where its mentioned and plenty of people (especially relaxed women) hail its effectiveness.

After applying the Aphogee I saw a huge difference in the strength of my strands and a lot less breakage. I recently bought a bunch of products from botanika and LOVE everything! I have the light curl cream, mousse and gel. They glide through really easily and give me good definition while leaving my hair soft and natural looking. The cream and mousse have water soluble silicones.
I just used the aphogee 2 step protein treatment on Monday and my hair feels so much better. I’ve tried this one and I liked it too and would definitely use it again
I tried this today. It was my first REAL protein treatment since becoming natural Oct. 6th, 2022 made two years 😘. A moisturizing DC was a must. It’s was strange how my curls seemed to elongate & felt heavy as the water ran down my strands while rinsing out the protein treatment. I’m excited to see my coils a few days from now once I take my twists out 🤩. I think the only treatment that made my coils FEEL EXTREMELY strengthened more than even this protein treatment was the one time I did a full henna treatment and didn’t DC afterwards I haven’t done that since, I only do henna glosses. I’m gonna always follow any treatment up with a moisturizing DC. Lesson LEARNT 🤪

Hey love, if aloe makes your hair feel stiff then maybe not. My hair loves aloe and it makes my hair soft so I could use it after doing a protein treatment. I hope that helps ☺️
The consistency is much thicker than aphogee. I like Bontanika consistency better. I never tried it but I like the consistency of it. That aphogee is like running water
Yes its much easier to control in comparison to apoghee 2 step treatment. I like the protein mender by botanika. I also like curelific by apoghee but im not sure if that’s a protein treatment 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤣😂.

Yes your hair feels strong afterwards thats how you know its protein because the hair doesn’t feel mushy it feels strong.
