    Lucio was the first character I actually started to learn. Solid info in here, and I will say I had no idea about wall skimming. At my unranked status that will surely give me an edge once I learn to do it right, so thanks for that!

    Thanks for this breakdown. I have just gotten back into Overwatch after not touching it since 2017. I have put about 8 hours into Lucio now and have been really growing as a support. I was somewhat wavering on my gameplay and unsure if I was playing him right. This breakdown showed me that I was headed in the right direction I just needed a few baseline tweaks. This was very useful and really boosted my confidence. Thank you!

    Thank you so much my guy! I have never played OW but was convinced to try OW2 by my friends and I've been having s lot of fun, my first choice was pick Lucio because "Why not? He seems like a cool dude" and honestly I'm glad I got interested in him because he's just so much fun to play, I've been practicing with him and have been improving my skills enough to the point I think I can be considered s pretty good Lucio? But still felt there were some things that could be better and this video has enlightened me. Thank you so much🐸!

    this is so helpful. i was pretty much a lucio one trick by the end of ow1 and was used to going solo and fragging hard but ow2 has changed that leaving me kinda fucked, all of these tips have helped my tremendously. sticking by your team is the most effective method.
    edit: also ive had jump on wall release or whatever its called and now im pretty used to it. i know to some its unhelpful and having it off is better for them but for me personally i can go super sanic speed

    No where near a pro (that’s why I’m here) but it’s great to hear what I could be working on and what I was already working on. Like it’s nice to hear that me trying to taxi the team and peal for my fellow support is something I was supposed to be doing. I’m decent at surviving but I definitely need to work on communicating with the team (or at least suggest it) when to fall back as a team. I leave to regroup as we are down 2 but the other 2 are still trying to push and they die. I definitely also need to work on my mid game wall riding, roll outs I got but the rest of the time I’m still floorcio. I was just so nervous of being out of range of my team. But watching this and seeing how the range is actually a bit bigger than I thought should ease my worries and I should try to be on the walls more in general. Getting better at that should help my Widow punching skills because sometimes I try to deal with a nearby Widow but my approach is so comically sloppy I disappoint myself. Thankfully those widows have tunnel vision and don’t notice my terrible approach and thus I can beat them to death but I can’t get away with that forever and I need to get better.

    • @Dunmuir

    I find the most important thing to do is pay attention to the number in the middle of the screen, especially at lower levels. Lucio being so fun is so deceptive because it’s so easy to get distracted
    If you’re playing on console and serious about Lucio I highly suggest getting a controller with paddles or playing claw with at least one hand. Being able to not only aim but change direction while jump keying is something you just have to do

    • @Dunmuir
      @Dunmuir  Год назад +1

      Just gotta also keep in mind that there’s times to focus on focusing down enemies more so than focusing on healing or speeding teammates

      You can rebind all hero's buttons individually. If you play bumper jumper you can aim/move while wall riding without the need to play claw or use paddles. Also, there is a time and place for a reddit Lucio, and it's usually not in bronze - silver

    • @blap5630
      @blap5630 Год назад

      @@OfficialPotentTHC I found it easier to just play claw bc then you don’t get any actions mixed up when you play other heroes. Plus it’s also just better for shooters in general.

    great video! why was the player switching the whole time between speed boost and heal?

    • @Dunmuir
      @Dunmuir  Год назад

      Basically you can still get the majority of the healing doing that, while also making both yourself and your teammates harder to hit because of the speed boost making movement less predictable and messing with the way the server shows it to the enemy team

    • @Dunmuir
      @Dunmuir  Год назад +1

      It’s automatically healing or speeding. Holding your shift (assuming you’re on PC) or Left bumper on controller will change your mode from healing to speed. Then you have a cooldown called it amp it up that lets you increase the healing or speed for a short time. The number shows how many teammates are getting the healing/speeding

    • @Dunmuir
      @Dunmuir  Год назад

      they just don't know what they're talking about. They're used to lucio playing with rein and speeding him and the death ball into places. But that isn't how Lucio is played a lot. If you do have a rein, then yeh speed them in. But if you don't and they have something that can dive like a tracer/winston. you NEED to hold your amp and boop to save your support, or other squishy, like Brigitte used to. If they don't have one then you don't REALLY need to be playing Lucio, but if you choose to then you should be looking for dives to mark ranged histcans.
