Hello Ladies is just as good as Derek, not to compare the two but Steve deserves more credit for his acting and writing, top bloke he welded the classic trio together in the old XFM days to, full respect for the chap.
You guys should check out the Ricky Gervais show and An Idiot Abroad for some quality Stephen Merchant, at times he upstages Ricky, yet Stephen has always said he is happy with Ricky getting the attention.

I just forgot the name of the previous show, the animated one where people saw Karl for the first time being interrogated by Steve and Ricky. Has Stephen Merchant ever explained why he doesn't just go to the gym and get ripped? Surely a full set of muscles on a body that tall (6'7") is an instant lady pleaser. Or would it kill the unique aesthetic he currently has?
DispleasedEskimo He has talked about trying to out gym time over time on The Ricky Gervais Show. Getting ripped needs a work, and like most of us he hasn't had the willpower to go all the way.

He’s by far the Wittiest, and his sort of off-the-cuff quick lines are gold. So I guess it just depends on your preferred comedy style
