One of the most detailed and easy to follow Yoshi guide I've seen in a while, great work! I'm looking forward to using these alongside my regular combos!
Awesome job man. I’ve been playing Tekken almost 18 yrs and this is the first time I ever say : well I want to try Yoshi. Then I found this vid and my life changed . Yesterday I was Gary’s and today I’m Kishin. Thanks man I really love it.
started T8 with Reina and now going to pick up my old T3 Yoshi but they have changed him a lot since i last played him seriously this guide was super helpful, along with the few other stance guides i found this seems like the right amount of info to kickstart the Yoshi player inside me again great guide thankyou!
Wow I’m currently at Raijin with Yoshi and thought I knew the character alright but now that I’ve watched this, there’s so much more to learn 😅 thanks for the vid!
If i may. When using kincho stance (1+2) his B2,1 move that launches does WAAAY more damage than a normal df2 or using B2,1 for the whole combo scaling. For some reason the scaling is less if you start with it so more damage 😁 Doing the same bread n butter i normally do but it was like 25 damage higher off a different starting launcher.
Good for situations that have no walls or far walls. But it only do 46 damage instead of normal 52. On Heat, it's best to do what the video says because the damage is better and also does the same guard break
@@infotraverser If it has no walls or the wall is too far then I would just recommend UF2 > DF4 > Dash > D2, 2, B > D2, 2, 2 > KIN 2, 1+2. This does 48 Damage instead, can be quite tricky to do but it's easy. Edit: Or you can just substitute the DF4 with DF1 but it will do less 1 damage, so 47. It also doesn't need any delays too
Thanks for this video! I didn't find any other videos on Yoshimitsu okizeme. But I'm confused about the frame advantages for the Guard Break Catch starting at 5:05. On left ukemi (starts 5:05) it is +14, but on right ukemi (starts 5:17) it is +15, but why is there a difference? it looks like the same setup.
Idk for sure too, but I'm guessing that wall combo guard break catch, right ukemi makes the opponents nearer, same case for no wall guard break catch, left ukemi. I heard that there's a lot of frame differences between P2 and P1, so that might be it too.
Nice video man ive been doin the same combos over and over this will help me be more flexible! Just wanting to ask why do u need to side step in some flashes? Does it extend the range of the combo? Thanks!
The first and last combos needs SSR for the last d2, 2 to hit. Basically, instead of hitting the feet straightly, you make them go diagonally instead so it has more hitbox just like on 00:09
Hello, it's best to see Delusional-Lobo's video regarding Yoshimitsu Neutral, he made a detailed video about it: ruclips.net/video/-n0RUItTED8/видео.html
After doing D2,2...hold back(B) and it will put away sword ...now you can do this run..bcz you need to be in no sword stance otherese it will do the prolonged version
I need help for something, at the bigenning of the video you show the huge combo on the king. After the unblockable low you do : kin 4, kin b2 1 and how do you hit the d2 2 after. I'm trying to make it but I just can't, even in heat mode it doesn't work.
@@shylectre and I just found an update for that combo, instead of doing d2 2 again after the f 1+2, you can do 3 2 to "relauch" and then do f 1+2 while dragonfly stance, and it's still guarantee
@@williamlee2411 I constantly get +15 on said wakeups, maybe you're not using heat or wall. because as mentioned, it will always just give you +14. Try to check this one ruclips.net/video/m2lD5TqeePM/видео.html
@shylectre 😮oooo ok, so just press it, don't hold it lol. It was killing me, trying to figure it out. Thank you so much! I'll have to practice it. Obviously, I can do it after I exhaust my heat, but I need to practice using it without exhausting my heat.

at 1:17 you take two spins out of b1 and transition into b3/b4 immediatly for a launcher punish on the armored btw
What an introduction. I have again to learn!
Goldmine! Thanks for sharing
B1 -> flash at the wall is crazy thanks!
Learning advance combos on yoshimitsu is very satisfying, no other character can comprehend
Man, that was hella crazy. I want to play Yoshi half that good.
Keeping the yoshi mains alive!! Good stuff man
You accidentally put uf2 instead of df2 in the input notations, but still a great video
Thanks Thanks Thanks!
This is just a different level of playing T8.

Could you make a video on how to play Yoshimitsu neutral?
Hello, it's best to see Delusional-Lobo's video regarding Yoshimitsu Neutral, he made a detailed video about it: ruclips.net/video/-n0RUItTED8/видео.html
@@shylectre thx
What about df2 combo like this:
DF2, 1+4, D22b, 1, NSS F3+4, 22 T!, NSS 1+4, B21
Or with heat: DF2, 1+4, D22b, 1, NSS F3+4, 22 T!, NSS 1+4/B1 into NSS F3+4, 2+3 HB!, B21
the 2,2 torando doesn't work vs all the cast

Can you counter hit confirm b1?
Which wall combo is better: 1, 3~4, DGF 4? Or NSS 3, 2, delay 1+2?
NSS 3, 2, delay 1+2 is Yoshi's most damaging wall combo so far
@@shylectre Even in 1SS? I figured it's only stronger in NSS no?
@@SerAlthur Yep, 1SS 3, 2, delay 1+2 is weaker than 1, 3~4 DGF 4.
5:11 how is this possible? You werent in heat but you still guard broke > b22 to go INTO heat.
Nvm. You were nss
1:18 bet they get so mad if you do that and then hit 'em with some b+3s to avoid getting dizzy hehe

Suuuuuuuuuubbbbbed!
you are the fucking goat
flash has since been patched to be super unreliable, and hitting d,2,2 after a flash is near impossible. Cute combo video but impractical
I can still do it, I did it on Xiaoyu. It felt the same since day 1.
It's tricky but not that complicated once you got used to it
works if you side step right
On the fc df1 - kin4 - kin b2,1 - d2,2b - f1+2. The d2,2b is not connecting even if i dash... any tips?
try removing df1
Not kin4, kin forward close to opponent then 4
I dont understand why male/female hitboxes are different, i understand with big characters but...
Sounds like you understand
Because men and women are not equal😭
Hey dude quick question why do you delay the d 2 2 at 5:39 during the setup does it have to do with leaving them a certain distance from you or you ending up more plus? Please let me know! Sick Yoshi by the way!
It is to be consistent on hitting the hit burst or the next d2, 2, 2 when doing the no wall guard break
Good stuff ! bro keep up the good work
What is an OKI?
Okizeme, it's a term for Fighting Games that means "Wake Up Offense", it's how the player do his offensive choices when the opponent is on the ground.
