- Josh, Matt and Stephen Kotler (CEO of Douglas Elliman) take a trip to Dubai to scope out the $1.4 billion development of the Royal Atlantis Residences. Between scuba diving, visiting the royal family, and standing atop the tallest building in the world, the trip was a success. Upon returning home, the Altman Brothers reveal their new office mural by world-renown street artist, Gregory Siff.

Josh Altman........ Nice art work you should put a UV clear coat and a mark resin so it will last a longer, eventually the LA sun will fade the art and marking resin prevents scratches, paint peels and other people that want to tag the mural.
you should have gotten ZHC or Vexx for that mural, they are actually insane at what they do.

NICE JOSH....Lived in Dubai: Just a heads-up that all that glitters is NOT gold for anyone wanting to live or visit Dubai: No sustainability (food not local majority flown in from abroad no nutrients in the food and expensive, water is from Ocean desalination - their desalination plants are not run like the Israeli ones (Dubai desalination is terrible: horrible for skin and hair and no one drinks it as the plants are run inefficiently). A large majority of the Real Estate big builds and large complexes Business is mostly dirty money cleaned via real estate Hotels and Residences (Iranian, Afghan, Azerbaijani, Hezbollah money etc) so be careful if you are in Real Estate and partner up on these - as you could be ripped off big time (and many have been). If something goes wrong its generally the foreigner who will be accuses (rarely ever a local UAE citizen). Honest business people get ripped off by the local "Elites" (whom they partner with) so if you are doing business there even lawyering up is mute point as it is "jungle law". Being Homosexual is illegal, Sharia is the actual law in Dubai (so business disputes and civil matter means Westerners actually go to Prison WITH NO DUE PROCESS), little rule of law for expats in business. It used to be tax free - but the real estate is inflated and the workmanship (as they use 3rd world laborers on the projects) is subpar (the infrastructure in the buildings fall apart within the first few years). No proper sewage systems - water is trucked into the buildings - then when it rains heavily in Dubai (as there are heavy rains around once a year - the sewage on many of those buildings back up - electrical systems are a joke, and the building work is inferior to western standards). Drinks are served in bars and hotels but actually it is ILLEGAL to drink and if a local reports you (and it has happened to visitors and expats) you will go to jail for breaking their Sharia law. There are around 10 million people in UAE (around 1 million of them are UAE citizens) most are expat foreigners, majority of them from 3rd and 2nd world countries. Many from the 1st world partner up with locals in business and ripped off. (so if you are doing business there - do your due diligence and go in with your eyes open). All that glitters is not gold in Dubai (there is a dark underbelly to all the glitz)
