I use Google Keep as a catch all for Ideas for articles or social media posts, Todoist for Task and Projects, and Google Drive Along with Docs and Sheets for Writing and managing my business.
I love the minimalist design and approach for for Google Tasks but it still needs work in some of its features and functionality. To Do is nice but I always come back to Todoist.
To-Do has a tasks sidebar on webmail, too, and if you're a desktop Outlook user you can drag mails into the Tasks icon at bottom left to turn them into To-Do tasks just as easily. The Google Tasks sidebar is actually surprisingly more full-featured than Outlook webmail's for now.
I want to have a to do list on the go, when there's no Internet connection, so I use Microstoft ToDo, but when I'm at home, I use google calendar and google Tasks to work these things all together. I wish, there was a way to syncronise ToDo and Tasks
Exactly my problem. Microsoft is great when I'm on my desktop but Google integrates better with my phone/Google Assistant. If only I could combine both worlds without too much pain.
I love the minimalist design and user friendliness of Google Tasks, I tried using Microsoft To-Do, but it is kind of cluttered and too daunting for me - great video though, mate.
You didn't discuss Calendar integration at all: I love To-Do, I hate Tasks, but I still have to use Tasks because I need it to be as integrated as possible with my Google Calendar, not to loose anything.
Google Tasks has been growing on me - but I can't believe that there's not even a way to show tasks of ALL lists by due date. I won't go through all lists every day just to see my upcoming tasks...:-( Or is there way?
Interesting comparison. Thank you for sharing. Question, in the background is that extraneous music playing? It became annoying, I thought I had a radio playing, but it was off. Why RUclips content creators think music playing in the background is important is beyond me. You are aware we came to hear you, not music.
Although I use To-Do, I was so excited when Tasks was announced. But when I used it, it felt like such an unpolished app that I felt like they just created a basic app, connected it with a server and published it. UI is bad, it's also a bit confusing at start, you can easily create everything empty by pressing random buttons. It was like they thought as long as the app is not crashing, we're fine. (I'm a developer btw, so I'm also judging it on that basis.) It was seriously unpolished and felt like a joke. No kidding. Months after its release, I recently tried it again, same old crap. Google has huge AI and cloud capabilities, but their App designs are very below sub-par. I think Microsoft has a huge lead there.
It's incredible how Google Tasks doesn't have a web app available yet. The only way to use on a computer is through Gmail interface, which sucks if you want to forget about email for a few hours.
I have liked Microsoft To Do but recently my notes have been duplicating and they have tons fo spacing, which is annoying. Has anyone else had a problem?
To do has no integration with the Calendar of Outlook, while Tasks has it with Google Agenda. It's an essential feature and Microsoft, in all these years, did not make it available!
Super vidéo! Do you know if we can assign someone a tsak in the Google one. I use the Microsoft app, but I would like to change to also manage tasks with my Gmail account. But I really use the assignment of tasks with the Microsoft one...
Still using Todoist for my main task manager or todo list. Comparing to this 2 apps, Google task’s UI is still better than the Microsoft To-do although Microsoft to-do do have more customization option. Can you make a video comparing todoist and tick tick for a updated version? Continue making quality videos. Add oil.
I just find the state of Google's task management offering to be horrendously insufficient... It's one of the things that is giving me pause when I consider buying GSuite.
microsoft: wait until we break the app google: wait until we discontinue the app I've tried microsoft Todo but their hierarchy system was convoluted, hidden under a layer like their Onenote. And customization in Todo is customization for the sake of it. Can barely call it that. Rather, go for the clean look of Tasks. Google Keep is just fine for me.
Oh my poor Francesco, on the left and on the right - so as you ditch the icons, the title text is now the wrong way around : )))) It is the little things : )))) And yes the drag of the mail into the list is great... ... and it sits (you have to select) with the mail with notes and contacts - makes a nice collection. Nice vid, keep up the good work.
Any To Do list you recommend that arent by either of these privacy mining companies? Really should start offering encrypted/privacy apps in your video, going to be a huge trend among users/consumers in the next coming years...
Thank you for the comparison Francesco! I like To Do more but Tasks looks more minimalistic which I like but feature - wise, it doesn't suit me. So I'll go with Microsoft To-Do
READ THIS! Microsoft todo website version just stucks when I use search, does anyone else has this issue? I have sent 5 freaking emails and no answer from the team..
That sounds odd. Your best bet is to tweet them. Drop me an email with the screenshot and I can always do it on your behalf - francesco@ keepproductive.com
How do I sync Microsoft to do with Windows Calender and Google Calender concurrenty?
I use Google Keep as a catch all for Ideas for articles or social media posts, Todoist for Task and Projects, and Google Drive Along with Docs and Sheets for Writing and managing my business.

Microsft To-Do is available on Mac!

We'd love to hear which ones more sense in your day to day life!

And still nothing yet...
TRUE same here. To do really miss calender integration.

Mircrosoft Todo is rolling out new update where you can drag your email to To-do, it can be seen in few outlook web accounts.
1 year later and I can't see that yet? I've tried dragging an email from W10 Mail into W10 MS Todo and it wont go
Interesting comparison. Thank you for sharing.

I plan on moving over to Google tasks because I'm going to get Google Nest Mini soon
Is there any possibility to sync both?

Or through Google Calendar :)

Is it possible to use tables in Microsoft To Do?
Wait until To-Do integrates with OneNote.
That lack of integration made me a Notion user.
I use both for different reasons. I also use Trello for slightly different reason than Microsoft or Google.
How To Share Google Task with other Like Microsoft To Do....Thanks
Still using Todoist for my main task manager or todo list.

I just find the state of Google's task management offering to be horrendously insufficient... It's one of the things that is giving me pause when I consider buying GSuite.
CerebralAudio GSuite is awesome as a 365 Alternative otherwise I use a 3rd party for tasks like Todoist. I run a blog and business using GSuite.

I personally don't change my Trello account for any other to-do list manager app.
I just wish microsoft to-do had better calendar integration.

The one problema is that when you click you dont remove the task
Thank you for the comparison Francesco! I like To Do more but Tasks looks more minimalistic which I like but feature - wise, it doesn't suit me. So I'll go with Microsoft To-Do
The both is good 😜🙂 simple and dark mode
We actually prefer Google Tasks for the line of work we do over here!
I prefer Microsoft To-Do
i go with Microsoft to do 👍
I just download G task and integrated with Google task
Looks like todoist is still my choice :)

@@toolfinderhq Hello, thank you so much for caring. I've sent you an email with the screenshot and brief description of the issue.
"Mang-sof To Do" >> this is all I hear
Nice video, Francesco! What about quire.io?
Só eu acho o Microsoft To-do parecido com o Todoist?
Não
I just WISH Google Tasks had a recurring feature 😞 that is something I HAVE to have
I do too Emily, maybe soon!
Francesco :-)
Yay! gsuiteupdates.googleblog.com/2019/03/set-start-times-and-import-reminders-in.html
Breaking: Google Tasks adds recurring tasks and time based.
No way!
WOW! Confirmed! :-) Nice Greg, thanks for the nudge!
To Do has no app badge for IOS which is weird but v annoying
todo is better
If I HAD to choose I would still go for Google Task just because of the fact it's from Google and not from freaking Microsoft.
