So glad everyone has enjoyed this series, absolutely loved making it!! These kind of trips are the direction I want to take the channel in! :) Next up will be Patagonia + Antarctica series from November, that will be out late May (premiere party for Antarctica is end of May, so it HAS to be done by then haha) Then in July the random South Korea trip will be out, no idea how that video will come together but hopefully it's good fun. Then late July / Auguust, I'll be off on Kenya, Tanzania & Uganda trip which I'll begin editing immediately when I'm back. But end of the year and certainly into next year, will be looking to do lots more random adventures like this one, shorter videos between the documentaries will start appearning during the summer / early autumn I think. So LOADS more to look forward to :)
Utterly fabulous! Things always come out in the wash! Glad you could all just go with it! ( not much choice) loved this series! Good on you ! Three fab fellas …Cheers from Oz!
This was my fav video of your series (and i love them all). Reminded me of the bond i have with my friends and my trips away. The 2 lads you travelled with seemed such good lads. Would love to see the 3 of you on another trip together soon
No one does it better than Karl Watson. Shows the reality of travel and always has the ability to develop an organic, compelling story. That’s what sets him apart from the rest. Plus, his music selections are always on point. Can’t wait for the next one!
I've been to Turkey a total of 7 times, with my most recent trip being in February of this year. I simply can't get enough of the country and its wonderful people.
Love Istanbul and Turkey, travelled around for three weeks there last year and your vlog you did with Intrepid was what made us bucket list it and go. Thanks. I am absolutely wanting to do Georgia and had planned to do it in 2020 via the Touristic train from Turkey but covid put a end to that.
Absolutely love train travel across europe and lots of memories of Georgia. Fantastic video series. Your mates should do their own channel they were so fun!
This is one one the best travelling videos I've ever seen. You guys are great with a good humour, joy and fun. Thank you for showing my country this good . ❤🇬🇪
Another epic video. Karl you are my favorite filmmaker. The soundtrack and the sequencing of events is just perfect. You are so ready for feature films in the level of Indiana Jones. Your videos are just that good. You rock dude.
I loved this!! I have a soft spot for travelling (mostly 😂) overland. I would actually love to see a continuation of this journey! Maybe starting in Georgia and going through parts of Central Asia, seeing what you could accomplish in 2 or 3 weeks time there.
This series was just brilliant! Loved the camaraderie between the three of you, the personalities and humour literally had me lol! What an experience you all had. Looking forward to the rest of your adventures. 😊
Again "just bloody brilliant". We all know that travelling has the ability to never go as planned. Lads on an adventure. Will be in Istanbul in 2 weeks time. Even more excited now 👍👍👍👍
Great stuff as always Karl, I had never dreamed of doing anything other than a safe package tour, but watching your videos over the past couple of years and now my children are old enough to stay at home. Hubby and I are going to be spending our new vacation time backpacking around! Who says you have to be in your twenties!!! Cant wait to visit some of these places and thanks for showing us what we can do, how we can do it and giving us access to future adventures! Much appreciated x
Fabulous series. Istanbul is my favourite city ever. I have visited 3 times now and never get tired of it. I only stay in the old city area. You guys are hilarious. Tiblisi and s surrounds was awesome. Cannot wait for your next adventure 😊
Great pair of episodes. I live and work in Tbilisi and its interesting to see it from another perspective. A hidden gem that gets few British tourists , mainly due to the lack of direct flights - lovely to see the country portrayed so well
Your trips/travel docs are always such a great inspiration Sir! Me and a mate are hoping to head to Istanbul next year. Also as far as other across Europe trips, I've always liked the idea of Warsaw - Vilnius - Riga - Tallinn - Helsinki - Rovaniemi
This series was so fun to watch - the three of you make a great team. How about a short overland from the UK to Morocco? (using the ferry from Spain) Or you could start in the north of Scandinavia for a longer (high contrast!) trip.
Wow it’s amazing overland trip. Different countries with weather, food, people, and travel by bus trains cars airplanes wonderful to see trips like this. 😮❤❤ Do again Karl
Once again excellent editing and keeping one engaged in the adventure, Such a pleasure to watch and feel part of that adventure. We learn a lot watching and enjoyment from being drawn into the storytelling of the trip. Its a wonder your livers survive the onslaughtof drink lol
Don’t get me wrong, I love all of your stuff Karl, but it’s great to see you doing some more stuff outside of the tours. Fantastic couple of episodes! 👏
Loved this series Karl and a great bunch of mates as well. I do enjoy the tours (obviously 😉) but getting back to some “sort of planned” adventures is great to see again. I did enjoy the name of that Blue wine vineyard 😂. Quality mate, genuinely enjoyed watching these!
Cheers mate appreciate it! Gonna be a lot more trips this style moving forward with the channel 😊 Also I’m glad someone laughed at my “dad joke” about the blue vineyard 😜👍
How about drawing some 'extreme to extreme' lines across Europe, W to E, N to S, then most Easterly port to most Southern port, or mountain or castle or whatever. For added fun, see if any of those lines intersect in a particular city! You could travel on the nearest overland rail route to those lines on the map.
Late December last year, I took a flight from Malta to Bucharest (Romania) and going to Veliko Tarnovo and Sofia (Bulgaria) by train. Then took a bus from there to Skopje (Macedonia), had a daytrip in Pristina (Kosovo) before ending my trips in Tirana (Albania). It took about half a month, definitely a good trips!
I’ve just found your channel after I did a search for trips to Antarctica & loved those videos. The next one I watch was when you were discussing your thinking when editing the Antarctica trip & loved that even though I don’t edit videos, I just really enjoyed listening to your thought process which was interesting. Great channel, great videos, great presentation, great humour & great characters. 👍 Just subscribed so will need to do a bit of a catch up.😂
Great video. Makes me wanna be the 4th musketeer. Btw I also liked that midnight train didn’t work out. Some extra drama and showing the reality of thinks. Plus I am sure you would still have done it if you had had more time
London to Marrakech, Morocco is very do-able overland in your time scale! You'll be heading to Africa! Passing through France and Spain, and you could pop into the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar on route too! Good views of Africa from the top of the rock!
awesome series karl! I suggest an overland of the west coast of australia, not a big cultural change but the landscape difference is spectacular you'd love it.
Great video, thank you to all involved - it gave me some more spots to visit. I understand your disappointment with the issue traveling overland from Istanbul….but you created some great memories with your friends, and that’s really important. And, the content is still a winner and reminds us all that plans don’t always work out (sometimes we just need to relax about it all).
I'm a bit behind on your content and just knocked out this series last night and tonight. Excellent film as always. I don't think the lack of the car rental ruined anything. You "lost" a lot of time just spend in a car. You "gained" more time in cities and looks like a blast. Now I want to visit Istanbul as well.
Hey Karl, what about a trip that goes from the most western part of Europe to the most northern part in Norway? It is a place that has always fascinated me. Never been though. But I love watching train travel/ road trip videos as they are so adventurous!
Real Real Real and fun. The situation in the war room proved real close friends. You took the best option and it worth doing it. By the way, with his style of new haircut and that shade of rayban, I think it is time for me to get one in Bangkok. hehe😊
Hey Karl. I done Moscow to Singapore. Trains. Boats. Buses. Cars. Motorbikes. Any information you need reach out. And like you a few disappointments. No flying. Good videos buddy.
I did an interrail tour from London to Lyon, then the French alps, then $witzerland including the Glacier express route and the Bernina Express. then we went to Lake Como, Bergamo, Genoa, Cinque Terre, Florence, fast train to Salerno, visited Amalfi and Positano, then went to Taormina in Sicily. From there I took the Ferry to the Aeolian Islands and then to Naples, from where I flew back to London. I can totally recommend this route, and doing it with an Interrail pass instead of paying each trip separately saves a lot of money. Interrail always do special offers for Black Friday and the beginning of March, so you can save even more!
Can't tell you how much grateful I am for your videos and travel documentaries! back in 2021 you inspired me to start traveling and I'm now "nomading" around the world for 7-8 months each year. So far I've seen amazing places and met new friends that changed my life. And every new video you post is a reminder of the feelings I experienced back then. Thank you man 🙏🏻
This series was amazing, I hope to do some things like this eventually. A possible trip could be crossing the US. It takes 4 days by train, but you could stop and see different places to make it however long you wanted it to be.
Things happen for a reason..you could have ended up killing each other 😅😅😅...really really enjoyed this adventure..please do another one..with the same cast😂...hello from Ireland 🇮🇪
The stamps in the passport is around the world. You can ONLY drive on your UK Licence abroad for 6 months. So they check the entry date through stamps. Its pretty common.
Great videos as always!! One suggested route is to go to the North Cape by public transport. Maybe a car is needed in the most northern part of Norway, but that also counts:)
I did Chiang Mai via Prachuap Kiri Kan and via Georgetown to Kuala Lumpur. End that in Singapore, or go to Batam Island and from there to north Sumatra Md end up in the epic, majaesti Samosir island in Lake Toba.
Kev was just not into that long bus trip from Istanbul 😂😂…………………meds my ass!😂😂😂……..I think one more night in Instabul with the beer was the defining factor in that call!😂😂😂😂
A 2 week overland journey that would be cool to also spotlight some interesting locations would be Copenhagen to Saint Petersburg. Basically Copenhagen to Warsaw via Berlin. Then to Vilnius to Riga. Rigs to Talinn and then onward to St. Petersburg. A lot of long overnight trains but lots of interesting optional stop over locations. Great series, your boys are cool as hell so would be great to see this team up again.
So glad everyone has enjoyed this series, absolutely loved making it!!

love the video Karl, but you have to go back to amsterdam some day as there is nothing dutch on your channel now.
Were moving to canada???
This was my fav video of your series (and i love them all). Reminded me of the bond i have with my friends and my trips away. The 2 lads you travelled with seemed such good lads. Would love to see the 3 of you on another trip together soon
@@dansherriff2179 planning it for later this year / early next year

Absolutely agree!! The music is great indeed! He shouldn't change a thing!
It was a pleasure to meet you guys and take you around Kadıköy, when you come back to Türkiye Furkan and I will take you to some more hidden gems! 😁🙏
Cheers Alp, was such a fun day with you!! 😊👍
What a legend! I hope you're keeping well mate
All is fine and dandy, lots of travelling to be done this year.
I hope all is well in your part of the globe?
Definitely do some more overland trips with your two mates. These videos were great fun to watch!
I wanna see the boys take on Bolivia to Venezuela overland next!
The two friends couldn’t have been any better suited for these videos / your channel. Great mini series.
Wow how beautiful Georgia is I want to go there
Sen zaten gürcüsün orda degil misin ?
Georgia is so beautiful
I've been to Turkey a total of 7 times, with my most recent trip being in February of this year. I simply can't get enough of the country and its wonderful people.
Great video! Brings back great memories of Budapest and Istanbul. And it gives a lot of inspiration of Georgia!
Thanks, guys!

Hi Karl very much enjoyed this 2 video series first time I have watched. I think the three of you should do route 66 that would be great to see.
Another epic video. Karl you are my favorite filmmaker. The soundtrack and the sequencing of events is just perfect. You are so ready for feature films in the level of Indiana Jones. Your videos are just that good. You rock dude.

You guys are hilarious.
Tiblisi and s surrounds was awesome. Cannot wait for your next adventure 😊
Seç baklava is the best in Istanbul. Fresh and genuine from Gaziantep. Congratulations to whoever suggested it. By the way, nice trip 👍
Love your travel videos. So much better than typical travel vlogs. More like a professional documentary or Netflix series.
Thanks 😊
Great pair of episodes. I live and work in Tbilisi and its interesting to see it from another perspective. A hidden gem that gets few British tourists , mainly due to the lack of direct flights - lovely to see the country portrayed so well
Loved both parts incredibly good filming and story
Looool I love how you 'laboured' through pronouncing Mtatsminda, but actually pronounced it perfectly, not a letter or sound out of place.
Thoroughly enjoyed these videos! Also, the sound track to this series is spot on! Very much looking forward to the next trip wth the three of you in!
Thanks very much :)

I’m pretty sure that Gladys didn’t actually take a midnight train to Georgia either. No worries.
Great video Karl.

Great two part episode gents. Can you do one of the balkans covering the old Yugoslavia states? Please
Loved the content Karl, my suggestion for an overland trip would be through Cenral Asia, It's a very interesting part of the world with great food.
Great idea 😃 I would love to
