If you’re going to Iceland, this is one of those spots that you will have to visit! The colours of the volcanic rock beside the green of the water and moss are stunning! It is truly one magnificent site!
I definitely felt a sense of awe knowing that I was walking so close to a place that once spurt lava!
Make sure to being good hiking boots, and wind breaker to cut the chill!
At the Kerid crater parking is free and entrance is only 450 Kronas which is about $4 USD. It sits on the Golden Circle route.
And if you’re going there, do yourself a favour and make sure you don’t bring your sassy daughter, who likes to scare you!
