We went on the Natchez diner cruise and we’re extremely disappointed. First off it was advertised that you had to be vaccinated or test negative in the last 72 hours. Because of my health, I have not been vaccinated so we paid a cab to run us around town to find a place to be tested. Then came boarding time, they didn’t even look at my test results. Second, they tell us we paid for the cruise only and not the dinner, which was sold out. Even though we had proof that we paid for it. We sat in a room on an upper deck that was cold and listened to a poor jazz band until they left to go play for those who were lucky enough to get food. Never again !
Been on that in 1983. Lead to a great prank in 1996 when I moved into a new apartment. The rental form ask if i had any musical instruments . Just for kicks I put down steam calliope ... about a week later the rental agent called me and ask what a steam calliope is. It's a river boat steam whistle organ. She stuttered out her next words. You have a what In your apartment. Oh. The office is 7 miles away I thought you could hear it from here. I finally told her I don't have one. I just wanted to see if anybody ever read the rental agreements.
Sad that the Natchez has not been in operation in years and the fake riverboat is taking its place. I was in New Orleans two years ago and refused to ride the fake boat that is replacing it

Went on the Natchez last week during my family vacation and it was such an amazing experience. I will be coming back for more memories
We did this for brunch and it was soooo fun.
If you visit New Orleans, this cruise is a must-do! Hubby and I had a fabulous week in NO and this riverboat trip was a definite highlight!

Wish they had used a normal host.
