    • SUPERMAN THEMED HARLEY...
Harley-Davidson, Inc. (H-D), or Harley, is an American motorcycle manufacturer, founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1903.
As one of two major American motorcycle manufacturers to survive the Great Depression (along with Indian),[5] the company has survived numerous ownership arrangements, subsidiary arrangements (e.g., Aermacchi 1974-1978 and Buell 1987-2009), periods of poor economic health and product quality, as well as intense global competition[6] - to become the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer and an iconic brand widely known for its loyal following - with owner clubs and events worldwide as well as a company sponsored brand-focused museum.
Noted for a style of customization that gave rise to the chopper motorcycle style,[7] Harley-Davidson traditionally marketed heavyweight, air-cooled cruiser motorcycles with engine displacements greater than 700 cm³ - and has broadened its offerings to include its more contemporary VRSC (2002) and middle-weight Street (2015) platforms.
Harley-Davidson manufactures its motorcycles at factories in York, Pennsylvania; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Kansas City, Missouri; Manaus, Brazil; and Bawal, India - and markets its products worldwide.
Besides motorcycles, the company licenses and markets merchandise under the Harley-Davidson brand, among them being apparel, home decor and ornaments, accessories, toys and scale figures of motorcycles, and video games based on its motorcycle line and the community. So how practical is this legend on our bad Indian roads?

I agree with you on some points and don't agree with another. You don't need a bodybuilding body to ride Fatboy or big HD bikes. All you need is skills, and skills you get it from keep training. I have 2 HD bikes. breakout and street glide. I have also Honda Valkyrie 1832 CC. Believe me, it took me a while until I master the Honda. Luckily I had the Honda first and when I got the 2 HD , it's was so easy to ride and have full control of the 2 big Harley Davidson. This is proof that practice and experience are the most important factors. Other than that, I agree , HD is not the perfect motorcycle. The technology is behind but this is what we call it classic. Is like you have a modern BMW full of technology , and you have 1950 classic car and you enjoy both.

Subtitles would have been nice so I might have been able to help you with your concerns about the bike, also I think I noticed where you were riding it and at those low speeds with an air cooled bike expect some additional happiness learning how to replace the top end every year or two and change out your oil filter twice a season and use the best oil you can afford every time you can purchase more and the bike might last a few years?Add an extra 10 lbs of tension to your belt drive if you put any kind of upgrades to your power output!!! Your welcome... ;)

Great review. As an American living in India considering upgrading from the Enfields I've ridden for 9 years to a W800, HD 883 or Triumph, this was extremely helpful -- great description of how everything on the 883 (suspension, engine heat, brakes, handling, etc.) plays out on the reality of Indian roads.

regarding suspension, its an easy fix. you can buy aftermarket rear shocks for the 883 and some of them can raise the back an inch more. a proper shock setup for your weight can totally transform the ride.

hey man am from hyderabad aswell and thinking of buying a harley , this would be my first expensive bike, i own an Enfield Continental GT presently(First bike ive owned till now) . Which bike would u recommend iron 883 , Forty eight or the new Roadster 2017? I understand that 48 and Roadster cost slightly more, but i dont mind spending that extra amount if its worth it, or should i just stick to the basic 883? Thanks in advance.
