But Blaine is in a warblers outfit already at the coffee shop which means that he had to have transferred to Dalton like within the first couple weeks of his freshman year out of his old bully school
Honestly my headcanon was always he was the same age as Kurt and after the Sadie Hawkins attack he spent time in the hospital and got behind on school and had to redo a year. I know there's no actual basis for that lol

Everyone was fine with him being in the same grade as Kurt- that wasnt an issue at all. but then they had Blaine be one year younger than Kurt, which completely flipped basically everything we knew about his character and his relationship. fandom was RIOTING over this. people took it SO seriously. it was a shitty thing to do from a writer's standpoint, but to some people who had spent months of their lives writing fanfiction and meta that was now completely invalid it was like a personal attack lmao. but it was really more about the inconsistency in writing that everyone was upset about. but it was an awful era in the glee fandom wank that reached through to the producers of the show, so for Darren to like, only NOW be mentioning it 8 years later is wild.

She said it was the only time I would smile. I was in horrible pain and she was correct, I smiled. The song by Kurt, I wanna hold your hand, was her song to me and made me cry.
