Bob Monkhouse and Les Dennis were the best, they take me back to my childhood in the 80s and I think it was on on a Friday or Saturday night and would be followed by a Bond film and we'd sit in our pyjamas on the floor after our bath with a paper bag of sweets we had bought earlier in the day with our weekly 10p pocket money and our hair tied up in rags. I miss those days
Heh, thought this was familiar; I know someone who was on this from my school days. Fortunes was definitely better than Feud, the sounds especially are iconic here. Nowadays all gameshows either side of the pond seem a lot worse than they used to be and I'm confident it's not just because I'm older!

A Year Supply Of Beer!!! I Dont Drink But Thats AWSOME!
The Family Fortune's strike buzzer sounds similar to the one in Bert's Family Feud in Australia.
Some members of my family applied to go on Family Fortunes, but they didn't hear anything back :(. I wish they had been on it.
@SierraStrawberry51 This show was adapted from Family Feud.
I want a years supply of beer
That one answer in the first question was interesting to say the least, despite the fact that it didn't make the survey (thank goodness).
I think i've been to that resort on Mauritius.
@CentralSouth5 So I am guessing around either thoughout 2007 or early 2008 maybe?

Family Fortunes. Part 2
Family Fortunes. Part 3
@lonelycompany Family Feud was probably adapted from this show actually, like most other US programmes copied from UK television.
it was such a good show without celebs back then!
@Hondo20132 - I think its 1998 looking at the credits, hard tell with the quality
@smailer07 I could not say. I didn't pay attention to that at the time, i was only interested in Family Fortunes :-)
Cool to see a whole episode of the old FF - thanks for uploading!
Did Challenge mention what year this episode is from?
I think this is '98
@smailer07 Probably about that time yes.
@MrBacktothenineties Thanks. :-)
What month and year was this Challenge TV broadcast taken from?
The rest of the game show.

Family Fortunes. Part 3
I hate the clebrity version that's on now... Les Dennis is a legend!
..Yeah,youre right....makes a nice change though lol,..the UK stealing a format for a show from the US instead of the other way round!
what s a year?
No sorry but i'm sure someone will know the year.

ITV was obsessed with Daewoo's. I remember when they were giving away Espero's. I would have gone for the holiday instead.
Wrong. Feud definitely came first.
Don't like him or his board. Monkhouse FTW. Always.
good old sexism. what ever happened to that?
