Brewing like a Viking.
You just helped many people with larger gardens. You might not get as many views but us large gardeners thank you🎉
This is awesome, you just saved everyone $50-100. I have a bubble snake for a 5 gallon, but I’m making this for my 55 gal now!! Thank you so much!
It’s worth way more than $100
Great video, bro my jaw dropped when I seen that chard by the grill, that's crazy
its so lovely all summer long fresh salad greens and it doesn't bolt like spinach does!!
@@gardenlikeaviking yea the garden looks amazing, anyone that denies your methods is a fool. Thanks for the videos and information. One might say there's some secret electro culture in there hahahahaha
You the man my bearded brother!
How's it going Nate? I guess I should have watched the video first, but that's okay. I don't mind supporting you bro, but you answered my question in the video😂 . Thanks again my brother
That's is genius way to make a custom compost tea brewer! Great video Nate
Just when you think you have learned it all...then comes another video from the viKING of gardening, as usual thank you for your knowledge and sharing it!
your chanel is the best .. thank you for all the informations you are sharing and all your effort
Good morning Nate @gardenlikeaviking , excellent tutorial & video brother…thank you!!! I just need to incorporate some underwire melon holders from the strip club to utilize the under-culture instead of the pillow case! For some reason the body glitter seems to increase the filtration compared to brand new but ya don’t want it reeking like essence of hoe since the pheromones could offset the intrinsic balance in the liquid microbiome! Now keep in mind that it seems to works best if you connect the underwire to 9 volt batteries, then your under culture is electro culture too & is such a bonus!! Ya see, I think that the underwire melon holders retain a charge from the stripper pole friction & that inversely conducts negative ions which are definitely good for us & the plants! Ya gotta love nurturing nature in all its forms for such science & multi levels of success, right!?!
Just a tip: If you make this in a deeper container, it will take a stronger pump than in a shallow one.
To avoid kinks the pvc should be filled with sand and capped on both ends before bending
if that works for you great but the sand will retain too much heat and just melt the tube and also will be very difficult trying to get all the sand out of everything and it will clog the sprayer emitter when using... plus it just isn't necessary if you take it slow... but thank you for the suggestion maybe someone will need to do it that way!
@@gardenlikeaviking this is standard practice for bending pvc with heat gun. You just created all those issues in your mind.
Best no fail way to bend PVC, no worries in kinking and keeps the PVC in its perfect round shape !!!
Thank you sir for your knowledge and help.
Great video. The grilled peppers are looking good!!!!
Wow! I'm going to get this awesome setup going this season AND share it with a pal whom is very handy and told me he wanted a simple and cost effective way to feed his garden. Thank you Viking... you are helping to equip so many people by sharing your solid knowledge, skills and wonderfully effective innovations like this!
Thanks Nate, some day, some day I'll need a bigger container, it's not a pipe dream. I use a 100 watt fish tank heater in a 30 litre bucket to stabilise the temperature and brew it in my kitchen, its still a bit chilly here some nights outside.
its coming my friend...
AWESOME NATE! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Note 7 Hearts for Completeness!
I might not have the huge thriving Viking garden that NATE has, with all its variety of Nutrition Dense, delicious YUMMY plants.
But it doesn't stop me watching the excellent video.
I am for sure will be sharing this video with my sister and first cousin family overseas, they have huge areas they could use this idea.
I always share all your videos with family and friends.
Thank You so much for your time. To share such experience and knowledge.
Your channel is growing in leaps and bounds.

Very practical! Even I can make that. THanks N
ate!
Well damn!!! I guess it’s time for a trip to the hardware store.
Great video 🇳🇿❤️
Okay you guys, here it is!
I've only just found you and it's been a real eye opener.. I live in Greece and the soil is very poor, rocky and dry. I grow herbs, tough flowers and let the wild plants flourish. I don't grow vegetables as the soil is shallow and we often are without water for several days at a time. I grow as many drought tolerant plants as I can.
I'm trying to improve my soil with my home made compost but it's not enough. Your liquid fertilizers are going to really help. I've already started a barrel with borage and my comfrey will be big enough to cut soon.
Thank you so much - I feel there's now a solution to my problems. Hugs!
I spent time in Greece in a small village named Paleros near Lefkada.... it was an amazing couple seasons teaching scuba diving!!..... so hot and dry in the summer but the food and culture is amazing!!
We've lived in western Crete for 12 years but have been coming here for over 20 years. Our garden is small as we have an old village house but keeps me busy and happy.
I have a question: I'm cutting back a huge, woody rosemary before it falls over! I've put lots of the softer prunings on the compost heap but there's far too much of it. I don't have a shredder and cutting it into small pieces by hand to use as a mulch is too difficult as I have arthritis. Any other ideas? Hugs from Crete!
Did I spot an old grow dot in that compost? I can relate lol.
Hell yeah
Need to find a soft spray nozzle like that. The one I tried last year kept getting clogged.
Up in the triangle where you by chance near Palo Verde/Island Mountain? I was, and this is very similar to what we did.
I was on the other side of the 101 in the Honeydew area... sometimes I really miss those days!... so much incredible knowledge and experience up there!
Thanks again, Nate, for such a great, no frills, to-the-point, instructional video. Question, why a pillowcase for this one compared to a paint strainer bag?
The pillowcase never bursts with such weight and pressure of the larger amount and plus the fine mesh keeps the final product free of sediment... using a mesh strainer for the bigger brews and I always end up with large amounts of silt all over the place to clog things but with the pillow case that never happens
@@gardenlikeaviking Okay great. I was just browsing Amazon, looking for mesh material to make a good filter. Would like to use this in a drip system if at all possible. Do you have any experience? I imagine it may be difficult not to clog the emitters.
Bad ass!
♥️♥️♥️
It should be called garden like a legend not a Viking
can you show how to ph down water organically? and will i be able to use it with fish fertilisers?
Many thanks, Nate! I appreciate the details.
If I already have the smaller aerator for 5 gallon, could it possibly work for this method?
no that will not provide enough air power to brew this amount you must get the upgraded one if you wish to do this quantity
Good to know - many thanks
Thanks for another great video.
Hopefully someone here can help me. Through a series of blunders of my own doing, I made my calcium acetate at a 6 to 1 ratio instead of 10 to 1. Should I change the dilution rate when I use it or just remake it?
Thanks for everything! Keep thriving!!!!!!
no you don't need to change anything just strain it and use it as normal... really its just a waste of eggshells thats the only downside 10 to 1 is already total saturation
Thanks for the reply and everything you have done for my mind ,body, and garden.
How you doing Nate first of all, thank you for sharing your skills.
Can I add some labs right before I feed my compost tea to my plants?
Thanks again!
thank you for the kind support my friend and I do believe the end of the video answered your question
The Amazon link for the budget submersible pump does not work. Thank you for the great directions excited to get it up and running
fixed... thank you!!
Hey my friend. will potato seed be ok to plant if they are a little soft but not rotting?
Do you think this would be good for the lawn too?
absolutely my friend this will have the lawn luscious!
What's your preference between AACT vs JMS? Is it purely situational? Ie time, work life, weather cond.conditions., seasonal, etc? I've been playing around with JMS but I think I dig the bubbly poop joose more 😂.
Question: If you mistakenly allow your tea to go anaerobic… will aerating it fix it?
Nope. Once anaerobic you need to start over. You can still use it. Most of the Jadam fertilizers are anaerobic and still useful. Just dilute and try to keep it on the soil more than foliar feeding.
Thanks so much for sharing this set up. My question is, how is the pressure on the submersible pump? Will it provide sufficient pressure to connect a very long hose to cover 1/4 of an acre in area?
I have it connected to a 100 foot hose and this pump is plenty powerful enough to make it happen at good pressure... its not cheap but its the best one I've ever found and I've used many... link in the description
@@gardenlikeaviking very helpful, thanks again! I have been wanting to do this for awhile, & now I feel confident it is worth the investment as it takes me a couple hours to do now with watering cans.
My husband mix all of my tomato seeds together my determinant my indeterminate my cherry tomatoes my pear Tomatoes all of them how can I tell the difference I plan on them all
What's the ph of that nutrient rich liquid gold ?
Здравствуйте, спасибо вам
Скажите что эффективнее jadam jms или этот аэробный чай для почвы и растений
Why does it need to be in the evening?
What brand heat gun are you using. I looked in your Amazon shop and couldn’t find it.
Could this be used to charge biochar?
absolutely it will charge it just add it to pure biochar with some additional food like fish fertilizer
Do you find that the J damn works better than the aerated compost tea or vice versa and have you tried the Johnson Su bioreactor and those inoculates?
I have a brewer that I use in a 32 gallon garbage can put it all comes apart so I can clean it. I did exactly what you did a few years ago except without the labs and it really didn't work that well. I even have a microscope or I could see the little guys in there。 also tried the JDM and didn't get a lot of bubbles on that.
I'm in Washington state and I overwinter my pepper plants and I've already got peppers。
How much ml in one cup ??
How would you change the recipe if you wanted a 50 gallon drum to have healthy bacteria and fungus while also using the same 50 gallon drum as the main water storage? I don’t want to empty the drum every time I feed and water my plants because I don’t have that much of a need for 50 gallons at once but still want the water to be biologically active perpetually.
brew the 55gal drum 1/4 full and when its done brewing add the remaining 3/4 water and then apply immediately
