Put flour into the pan after frying the kjottboller, (fry the meatballs in butter, not oil! Add more butter if needed) then add water and cream, salt and pepper, mustard and spices to your taste. God middag.

Being 3/4 swede and 1/4 Norwegian, I can appreciate the accent, as my grandparents accents were strong.
Now I'm told as I'm attempting to speak more clearly that I have a Minnesotan accent.
    Good grief!
    I just can't escape it!
The Swedish dialect that I was taught by my grandma was from the late 1800's to early 1900's.

A wife comes home late at night, and quietly opens the door to her bedroom. From under the blanket she sees four legs instead of two. She reaches for a baseball bat and starts hitting the blanket as hard as she can.
Leaving the covered bodies groaning, she goes to the kitchen to have a drink. As she enters, she sees her husband there, reading a magazine.
"Hi Darling," he says, "Your parents have come to visit, so l let them stay in our bedroom. Did you say ‘hello'?" ;)

I enjoyed meeting your in-laws and seeing the kitchen camaraderie (A wonderful part of homesteading)! Living in Minnesota and Wisconsin we are familiar with many Nordic traditions and foods. I had my first authentic Swedish meatballs with lingonberry sauce at Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant in Sister Bay, (Door County) Wisconsin. The place has a sod roof with a few goats on it during the summer to keep it mowed. If you google the web site they have a goat cam.

Ahyuan Organizing for Storage - Storage Baskets Made From Eco-friendly Cotton. Works As Fabric Drawer, Baby Storage, Clothing Storage,Toy Storage. Nursery Baskets (Large, Multi)
Sold by: e-smart home....Mrs., W. Sorry I don’t know your address and would have ordered one of these for you. But above is what little I could copy from Amazon. Very inexpensive $10.00 and a good sized laundry basket for nursery or any use ... I use one in my office. Getting to the point, made of heavy fabric on metal bottom ring so stands easily on it’s own. White background with 100 or more Red and Blue Dala Horses, very accurate in presentation. I use one in my office for recycle...a lot of uses and very popular with my Scandinavian family and friends. I always try hard to give the Swedes a boost ... Father from Agdeness, Norway...Mother from Varmland, Sweden. As you can imagine most everything in the family is Norse oriented with my three handsome nephews but they do appreciate their Swedish roots as well. I am proud to say that my youngest nephew announced new baby boy will be named Axel, swedish spelling preferred over Norsk, Aksel. Don’t know if you get down river often but Astoria has a fine midsummer festival in June. If you can’t find this item on Amazon but are interested, please send an address to Got55MG@aol.com and I will see one is sent to you.

Watching this is both bitter and sweet. I was married 34 1/2 years to a man whose family was from Norway. It’s been eight years since he’s passed away from cancer every week I would make Swedish meatballs for him and then the eight years since he’s passed, I’ve only made them one time, when my daughters asked me to. It’s fun to watch the interaction and remembering when his mother would teach me how to cook traditional Swedish dishes. And laughing and remembering my opinion of lutefisk.🤢
She told me how expensive it was and we were serving it at Christmas celebration, so I politely let it pass by and didn’t grab any… And she said “none of us like it but it’s tradition. You need to have some also “
    😅

Written recipe would've been great. They don't even say how much of what they're using.

Aweshucks, I was going to comment about your Falk cookware but then I just noticed you provided the name and a link. What I was going to say was, I give your video a thumbs up because of the Falk Culinair pans. I have a few of them from years back and truly, they are among the best out there. I read the White House kitchen uses them ! But, since that cat is out of the bag, I wanted to say something else I noticed and wanted to say something about it. You have one of the best there is, pepper mill. If it's only purchased a few years ago, the Fletchers Mill and if it's an older purchase, the Vic Firth brand. I have to say, they make the best of the best grinding mechanism ever. Our family for generations has always had fresh ground spices on the table and we have much experience with them. We've also found there are a lot of makes that do not perform well. These Fletcher Mills are beyond quality as you well know and being Swedish I'm presuming you folks don't put up with items that don't do the job right. There is no substitute for quality and your kitchen shows it. So, thumbs up for the Falk Culinair and the Fletchers Mill grinder. fletchersmill.com/fletchers-mill-made-in-usa/

Around the 8:00 minute mark Mrs GrandW's disposition and mannerisms remind me of Jack... Too cool :)

I wanted to try surströmming in 2012 in Sandviken when visiting my Swedish relatives. They really didn't want to serve it and tried to get a distant relative who spoke no English to come serve it, but alas, no stinky Baltic herring was served. Nice to hear of your Swedish ancestry and to hear that melodic Nordic language.

Making memories, it is nice having inlaws that you enjoy spending time with. My father in law was an amazing man and glad I had the privilege of knowing and learning from him, but he sadly passed away 4yrs ago from cancer so cherish those times with the family. Take care guys
