I used to ride down on the slope where you rode up to Bjelasnica but on a mountain bike. It’s 800m elevation change in 4km so it’s 20% average. 😅 There is a more relaxed way up on the other side that’s where I used to ride up. The ‘84 Winter Olympic men alpine skiing events were held there the skiers started from the top of that building.
@@tamasvarga67 that sounds amazing 🤩 I would be more comfy on my enduro mountain bike going down than on a 200kg adventure bike. Beautiful again! Looking forward to the next episode. Even on the GoPro you could see it was pretty steep. Knowing how much GoPro flattens it.... it must have been really steep. Respect! More for a little DRZ 400 then for those bigger motorcycles.
Thank you Diana ☺️🙏🏻 For watching and taking the time to comment. On that specific track I actually think I would be more happy on the T7 than a DRZ, the massive amount of torque and the weight and long wheel base gave some stability that the bike was actually perfect for. It was more the very technical tracks that had me longing for a DRZ size bike 😅🙏🏻
@@thescandiflicktv sounds logic. I'm just spoiled with the 3 motorcycles I can choose from and therefore I've put the little DRZ on Michelin Trackers. Turning that little thing in a little tractor. Tackling the TET like on the Sommelier and Jafferau as if it was nothing. It was hilarious. But like I said. Massive respect for tackling that on a big adventure motorcycle. As for the episode. @@GWBRXmoto Thank you my friend ☺️🙏🏻 I use a duo lavalier mic, one for the Cardo speaker and one for the speak. The one for my voice is slightly to the side of my mouth, so it doesn’t get too much breathing and then taped to the helmet so it doesn’t get too much wind from outside and with a small normal wind buff on top
Ah, the life of catching-up motorcycling-filmaker… If you know, you know. Very nice! Thank you for the hard work. Slightly unrelated - did you use Robert’s method of recording intercom?
@@EaglewoodADV likewise my friend, have seen all your films ☺️💪🏻 Yup, using a lavalier mic on the speaker, I just need to be better at using earplugs and turn the Cardo up to max, it’s too low many times in these films
@ thanks man! Does your mic splitter split the signal properly meaning - a stereo track with each mic to its own ear? Mine doesn’t and I abandoned the idea, because it would destroy my main track if there was wind or some other noise coming from other riders and I cannot separate it.
It's not at all necessary to ride up the ski slopes to reach the top of the Bjelašnica mountain. There are two roads, one of them mostly covered in asphalt going around the mountain and the other more direct starting at the round about in the valley where the hotels are. Eventually they join and the mountain top is reachable in an ordinary car. The bombed out building in grey concrete at the top is not "former military outpost" but a part of the Olympic infrastructure for the 1984 winter Olympics that Sarajevo hosted. The building served as the starting point for the downhill ski competition. It was bombed by military airplanes in 1992 following "if we can't have them no one will have them" logic. Otherwise fine video and a great adventure. Cheers.
@@catmate8358 we reached the top up the slopes that specific way because we wanted the challenge, going down we went the other way, on serpentine steep gravel roads but not as steep as the slopes. Someone else also told me about the Olympics after I posted it, so my mistake there, although many former soldiers also from peace keeping forces told me they’re were posted on top of that mountain during the war, hence the mix up ☺️🙏🏻
@@thescandiflicktv I understand why you went up the ski slopes. I did it too (not on a bike) and I can confirm it's very steep. I simply wanted to offer more information if someone wanted to visit the place but was intimidated by the slopes, as it's not clear from the video that there's a different road. As for the Olympics, it was a long time ago, so no wonder young people might not know about it. My point was that a civilian installation was bombed by the military for no good reason, simply out of spite. Every time I go to Bjelašnica that sight makes me sick. Keep the rubber in the dirt and best regards.
@ Thank you for clearing that up for me mate ☺️🙏🏻 And for everyone seeing it and doesn’t want to ride up the steep hill ☺️ I get it, we didn’t feel any leftovers from the war other than mine signs, bullet holes in walls in Sarajevo and that building on the top of the slope but having lived there and experienced it is a very different story, so I can definitely understand 🙏🏻 Thanks again for letting me know

@thescandiflicktv the rally version of the Caballero 500 is almost like a Enduro. I really like the bike for offroad use. 150 kg dry weight is for me a better bike for TET than a T7. @@LloydGrace1 Thank you my friend, glad you liked it ☺️🙏🏻 Haha, yeah, I don’t know if the camera makes the slopes look flatter or your brain makes the slopes look steeper, all I know it’s two very different experiences 😂🙏🏻 Happy new years my friend
@ Camera always makes the steeps look flatter sadly!
Thank you and a very Happy New Year to you too🥂
I used to ride down on the slope where you rode up to Bjelasnica but on a mountain bike. It’s 800m elevation change in 4km so it’s 20% average. 😅
There is a more relaxed way up on the other side that’s where I used to ride up.
The ‘84 Winter Olympic men alpine skiing events were held there the skiers started from the top of that building.
@@tamasvarga67 that sounds amazing 🤩 I would be more comfy on my enduro mountain bike going down than on a 200kg adventure bike. We rode down the other route when we went down again, also epic but not quite as steep, and then one of the riders Rasmus forgot his bag pack up there and rode up again like a crazy person 😂 I heard from another comment that it was also used as a military lookout during the war and that many soldiers was based there on the top
@ Yes, there is a destroyed military post little bit further on the ridge.
I think with motorbike that steeper side was better on the way up. No way I would ride it down with a 200kg monster. 😅
@ we actually talked about that, and putting it in the film for people riding the TET, to ride the steep side up and the zig zag down, but of course I forgot all about that 😂

I really enjoy the filming and story telling on it. Sometimes I can get bored on episodes of creators that are like 15 minutes long. But I wasn't bored one second on these episodes! Thank you for that!
@ I’m with you, in the first episode of the Balkans I get to ride Johannes’ AJP PR7 a for half a day, man it was like using cheat codes 😂 But for the specific track up the ski slopes the T7 was actually perfect 👌🏻

I have to say… congratulations! Again this video is beautifully made. What do you use as mic in the helmet? I always have the terrible wind noise. Respect to you guys! 🔥
@@GWBRXmoto Thank you my friend ☺️🙏🏻
I use a duo lavalier mic, one for the Cardo speaker and one for the speak.
@@EaglewoodADV likewise my friend, have seen all your films ☺️💪🏻
Yup, using a lavalier mic on the speaker, I just need to be better at using earplugs and turn the Cardo up to max, it’s too low many times in these films
@ thanks man! Does your mic splitter split the signal properly meaning - a stereo track with each mic to its own ear? Mine doesn’t and I abandoned the idea, because it would destroy my main track if there was wind or some other noise coming from other riders and I cannot separate it.
A Good adventure ! And great impressions.shame that the camera wasnt in the right Position for a time.
Thank you very much. AND YES, that really sucked, but it was an important part of the story so I kept it in there while telling the story about high it ended up there.
@ Thank you for clearing that up for me mate ☺️🙏🏻 And for everyone seeing it and doesn’t want to ride up the steep hill ☺️ I get it, we didn’t feel any leftovers from the war other than mine signs, bullet holes in walls in Sarajevo and that building on the top of the slope but having lived there and experienced it is a very different story, so I can definitely understand 🙏🏻 Thanks again for letting me know
@@thescandiflicktv no prob mate. There's more to see on the Bjelašnica mountain besides the top so I'm waiting for the next installment to see what you managed to see 😉 Cheers!
Any place they rent out Fantic Caballero 500 in the Baltic?
@@kokilimonke no clue mate, we didn’t stumble on too many rental places, I’m sure you can find someone who arranges tours who might also rent out bikes but the Fantic Caballero 500 is a very specific ask for a scrambler in a not very scrambler friendly country, the tracks are probably too rough for a scrambler
@thescandiflicktv the rally version of the Caballero 500 is almost like a Enduro. I really like the bike for offroad use. 150 kg dry weight is for me a better bike for TET than a T7.
But maybe some locals is watching this and can reply if they know Fantic retails in the area.
Happy Christmas Daniel, another banger! Enjoy it so much I wanna go myself.
@ I know many people that have tested them, who are very experienced off-road riders (unlike myself) and they would take a Honda Crf300L any day over the Fantic Caballero Rally. Much better ground clearance, MUCH better suspension and much better weight distribution so I would suggest you give other bikes a chance, since they are a bit of a niche I don’t think many people rent them out, you are much more likely to find a CRF300L ☺️🙏🏻
Very happy you liked the film mate, thank you for the support ☺️🙏🏻 Be it a Fantic, or Honda or T7, go on that adventure, the perfect bike is the one that’s available 😜🙏🏻
@@thescandiflicktv Tnx for the input, but I have tried both, and the CRF300L is absolutely useless with its extremely soft suspension.
