A type of reverb that uses a pitch-shifter, octaver or harmonizer to create a layer of ethereal ambience (almost like a synth pad) beneath the dry sound. It doesn’t muddy up the sound in the way that regular reverb does but can still overpower the song if not mixed properly. You can especially hear it in the beginning or at the end when the song fades out.
