Credit one is charging me interest every month. Not a lot, usually between 60¢-$1...but I make o time full payments every month, since I opened the acct.
When I called to ask, they said “oh that gets reimbursed to you the following month”. She kept deflecting my question and couldn’t give me an answer. The reimbursements are not the same as the interest. It seems like they are trying to literally nickel and dime me.
      Anyone else? Check your statements.
      Thanks!

DTL ratio is also a big factor to consider, a person that makes $100,000 a year with a 775 Fico score with a high DTL ratio will get a lower limit card than a person that makes $50,000 a year with a 695 Fico score but has little DTL ratio, in another words, cant owe everyone & there brother when applying for a card, get your cost of responsibility or accountability down as low as possible,,,, cant owe $3000 a month in bills when you make $4000 a month in income, get your DTL ratio down to below 25% of your monthly income, if you accomplish that task you don't need 775 to get a good card,,, also don't expect to get open arms if you have lost homes or cars or bankruptcies, they take 5-10 years for Fico to turn the other cheek,,,,

Call them up & ask them to do a product change. You could probably get changed to one of their better cards with your good credit score. If you can get the product change, there probably wouldn't be a hard pull. Even if there was, it would just be a few points . Just tell them what you are interested in getting & I'm sure they'll be able to hook you up with a much better card than the one you have now!

You have to take into consideration that it depends on which credit scoring model is being used like fico, fico 8, fico 9, vantage etc etc. Scores are retrieved from different credit bureaus so your cc score may vary across all the cc bureaus. Also consider the time your credit report was pulled also plays a factor because it may or not have yet reported the bills you've paid.

I also used a VA loan. Raised my credit 64 points in about 3 months. ,Paid off a ton of debt. Check with your lender on which things to pay off. Paying some things off wont help you if they’re really old. ,Just pay off newer stuff. Also got my friend to add me to his card as an authorized user which bumped me up 19 points over night. At the time the lender pulled my final score i had 600, 635 and 700 with the 3 companies and so the VA took the middle one and i got a 3.25 interest rate. My house is 405k. One thing that helped me is my salary is 200k.

I have 4 capital One cards. I have the Walmart credit card, The Cap One Journey card, The Venture One card and the Quick Silver... which was originally Cap One Platinum. I did a product change. I had this card for 2 years. It was my 1st. I didn’t use it much. I used it for Netflix, I put it on auto-pay. My CL.. is $500. I have asked for SEVERAL CL increases and they deny ME every time. Reason: recent use of this account’s credit line has been too low. I started using the card more ie.. paying cellphone and power bill. (Close to max out) But I pay it off every month. I never have a balance. I think, they want you to carry a balance. I won’t. SO, I guess it will FOREVER be at $500 credit limit. 😩😡

Also, you may get denied for other reasons. Aside from your score, they look at debt to income ratio (how much you owe), how many recent negative items (collections/unpaid charge offs), and then are you carrying a high balance/utilization on your cards (>30%)....
